These girlies are my third grow, Runtz on the left, Northern Lights on the right. I'm trying to do more with less; dry fertilizer, amended soil, more training. This is the first grow using a net so I'm still learning a lot. I'm hoping to get into an agronomics class early next year, so maybe soon I can be a real contributor. I've started some Member Berries from Ethos and I'm real excited for those

Hey Welcome, It looks like a nice healthy crop so far.Are you hoping to go all through your grow with just the amended soil? It'll be interesting to watch. I use a lot of nutrients specially in flower. Good luck I'll be watching

Welcome to Bud Builders.
Nice plants.
I am a fan of Ethos and have grown many repeatedly.

I'm gonna try; I've got both bone meal and potash, but I've got liquid fertilizer as a backup. I'm already concerned about magnesium so CalMag from General Hydroponics is my only concession to my goals. I'm slightly acidifying my tap water, keeping a soil ph of 6.2-6.5. I appreciate the well wishes, this is much more civilized than reddit.

Epsom Salts is magnesium sulfate,I use 1tsp/gal through veg until I need Ca in flower starting week 3. Not sure how this applies to your preloaded soil but I feed a balanced diet through veg then I use this graph as a guide, Locals here will be sick of this thing I post it as a cure to just about everything..1763065986394.png

I appreciate the graph, and I've got Epsom salts, I didn't realize they could be used as a liquid fertilizer. That just leaves calcium, and I have very little information about the solubility of calcium from bones, but something like calcium carbonate with a pH buffer maybe? Thanks for the info

NO scented Epsom salts, just the reg stuff, crystals no smell. I start with 1/tsp then go to 1tsp/gal by 2nd feed

A lot of water has enough Calcium in it for the plants in veg, if you're feeding with RO or distilled water then you will need some Ca & I think Coco growers need to add it as well. By my graph it doesn't show a great need for it through veg but it does need some micro nutrients in your water, this graph doesn't show well for vegging

Good info my guy, I was coming to the same conclusion myself about tap water. I'm using good old city water that I acidify very sparingly, and leave it out over night to evaporate any chlorine.

Here's the update, going very well, no signs of burn or deficiency that I can see. Watered with tap water with 1 tsp/gal of Epsom salts for Mg. Using Cavern Culture and bonemeal q/10 days, and just a whiff of potash q/30 days. Milorganite and bonemeal for veg. This has been the lowest stress grow I've ever done, this is only my fifth grow but I think liquid nutrients are in my rear view mirror.20251121_121337.jpg20251121_121345.jpg20251121_121350.jpg

I use calcium nitrate

Look up your local water, most large cities don’t use chlorine any more.
