My gh nutrients have calmag listed in the ingredients. Do I need to add more? Does cannabis need more than normal plants? Seem everyone supplements calmag.

Do you use RO or tap water?
If tap do you know whats in it?
Chances are youll need to supplement magnesium and not calcium because too much calcium will actually lock out magnesium.

Yeah I usually get it early (mag def )till I increase ppms.my nutes have it.I just supplement 40-60ppm 2 weeks till chop then stop.some plants take more than others.your just gonna have to read em as they grow.there are cal/mag bottles out there that are higher in N so you’d have to watch that too as using it will green them up..I use calimagic which is 1/0/0.my tank water is 20ppm.

Knowing what's in your water is vital to answering this question.

I have an average of about 25 ppm calcium in my water, according to the last test done in 2021. That's enough to get P lockout during flower, using soil, if you add any supplemental calcium.

I've been using RO and adding tap water to hit 100pm. Then I add my nutes. Should I add another 80ppm of calmag to cover my bases?

Does anyone use cloramine remover? I definitely have that in my city water. Does it matter?

My city water ppm ranges between 300 and 600ppm depending on time of year mostly ground water source.

If it's any consolation, my seedling is getting RO with 80ppm CalMag added.

If I use 100% RO what is recommended for a ph stabilizer? I've read to ph up to 10 and then bring it down to 5.8 stabilizes it or add some tap water.

I was using h&g ph stabilizer but that is another cost

So I use Agsil16 (potassium silcate) and pH Down for the buffer. Then nutes. Adjust pH again if necessary. The Agsil I use needs to sit for a few hours before mixing a batch of nutes.

My seedling right now isn't getting any of that though. A little pH Up and Down for a small buffer at 40ppm. GH RapidRooter AT 10ppm. GH CaliMagic at 80ppm. Then there's also a splash of Mr. Fulvic and some Orca.

With my well water if I add cal/mag in veg I lock up my plants. I must have enough Ca in my water adding more just causes problems. I do however add cal/mag at 3 weeks into flower.......I follow this graph as best I can and increase & decrease nutes accordingly. I use the GH trio, plus Diamond Nectar

try using potassium silicate first then your nutes.when I don’t use it my ph is 4.7 with it in veg I don’t need to use much ph up if any..

damn i didn’t see your post grumps 😁

You should be able to google a water report for your district , sounds similar to my water in Florida , I had no issue with cloramine , I cut my water with just purified/filtered water 50/50 ending up around 200/220 ppm can’t remember the calcium ppm but I still have a unopened 1 gallon of cal mag somewhere . Everyone situation is different @Aqua Man may have some information posted here somewhere

I thought A man had a thread on this here talking about using calcium carbonate or something as a buffer .def aquas domain on this..

Is this the same as water quality report? I put a link above. But I don't see chlorine or cloramine mentioned so sure how complete this is.

You have chloramine for chlorine.
It is just chlorine with an extra Ammonia atom to preserve longevity.
Middle of this chart right above fluoride.
