So now there's a porcupine in my garage! 🤷🏻

Walked right up behind it, it never looked at me just flared those quills almost instantly, they went out like switchblades and there were hundreds of them! I went back in the house 🤣

She's living on the other side of the garage underneath my canoe

You might want to lock her out of there. They will chew stuff. If it’s a wooden tool handle they will go after the salt from your sweat. And they stink, oils or musky.

I’m a live and let live guy these days but the house and garage are off limits.

They don’t shoot quills but they will flip their tail at you quick and the quills are barbed. I’d use a large bristle broom or a rake to shoe her out. Normal work gloves wouldn’t be enough to try and pic her up, long welding gloves maybe.

The sunset is gorgeous. The apples are, too. Did you grow those?
Thank you, yes I have an apple tree it's a work in progress I'm just picking it up as I go.

it had a aphid infestation early spring feeding of the new shoots after pruning so I covered it with a big bag and put a smoke bomb inside, it's done well this year good sized apples and free from bugs.

I remember you posting about that, now. Those apples look great.

I went for a walk down memory lane, when I was a boy I spent a lot of time fishing this burn/stream now it's difficult just getting there for a look 😂

There's caves on the bank they were a huge attraction to kids they're dangerous though no more than any other caves but someone has bricked up the entrances...sign of the times 😢

Oh! adventurers have made access to one of the caves.

Lucky man. Most places I used to go are gone, polluted or overrun with people who don’t look after it or appreciate it.

Beautiful steam. Magical. Just looking at the photos probably lowered my blood pressure. I'm glad you were able to make a return visit. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

🤣😂🤪 so what's the record for worlds smallest flowering plant? Planted this in July under one of the sunflowers never got enough light i gues. I will try to get some shots with the loop later i think its flowering . I Will have to buy a table top microscope to check the tricomes.

You beat mine from last years grow. Mine was about 10” or so. You talked me into putting it out bin late July iirc. Just to see what would happen 🤣

Think I gave it to my son and he got a few buds out of it. 😂

Yeh! its the weekend woohoo! 🥳

I caught a fungus gnat on a sticky trap earlier in the year so I ordered up nematodes in anticipation of fungus gnat problems.

I put a sample of them under the microscope 🧐

Have a great weekend folk's 🍻

nematodes were the only thing that i found to remove gnats. i'll never run another grow without them.

very cool video!!!!!

I've only read positive comments about them like that above, I was recommended them a while back so when I caught that gnat in my tent I ordered them up, the gnat had been in the tent overnight or worse had hatched in there if it was a female it was safe to assume eggs were laid.

I found a place in the uk theres enough enough nematodes to treat 20 square meters iirc £10 it's ample for a 4/5ft tent grow, that's a great price when you consider the amount of things that don't work very well and cost a sight more.

Since I shot that video I've got another microscope I'm learning about staining techniques (live is my interest) so I was going to order another sachet of them to experiment with staining live subjects.

Typical stains contain high % of alcohol or methanol type solvents that kill live subjects so I picked up powdered stains to mix up myself maybe with a few drops of alum that shit works magic with dyes?

This is the effect I'll be shooting for only with live specimens 🙏

That is so cool.i have had good luck with nematodes in the past.latley I just get a biodiversity pack from mi beneficials.its predator mites and rove beatles. The gnats are history.

I tried to take a pic of the moon last night. Didn’t turn out. Looked like a street light after you swam in a heavily chlorinated pool. Lol
