I have a couple of plants that self pollinated themselves and polluted the whole damn garden what's even worse than that I cleaned up the mess disinfected everything I thought there was no way it could happen again and the next crop got a few seeds not many how do the big companies handle this I've only got 12 plants in each room what do the guys that have 100 plants or a 1000 plants do when they get herminated plants I I'm sure they don't rip them all out

Are you sure it’s from a cross pollination? Did you actually find the male parts?
Plants can also seed from rodelization, light stress. If that’s the case, those will be fem seeds.
If your grow actually got pollinated it‘s very hard to clean up from that. More so if you did not wet down the pollen prior to removing plants.

I'm not one of the big boys doing 1000 plant grows, but my guess is these folks start with excellent genetics out of the gate.

When you get consistent hermi issues, it's almost always related to the genetics of what you are starting with. There are things that can stress a plant to hermi on you, but if you have eliminated all those possibilities, it's most likely genetic.

Lots to wade through in the Cannabis seed market. Do your best to do your homework on who has the best genetics to offer. It might seem like a lot to pay for seeds, but when the genetics are solid, you will likely not see this sort of thing unless there is an environmental trigger that is causing this in your grow.

If I was doing a commercial grow, it would be clones that don't herm in a poor-normal environment. If a crop does manage to get ruined with seeds, it will still make edibles.

I know this sounds silly but did you clean all your fans, passive intake screens, or any velcro on the tent? All it takes is water to kill pollen.

As SweetLeafGrow said genetics are the #1 leading cause of hermi plants.

Also, imo there is a difference in a true herm and nanners. Herms tend to be genetic where nanners seem to be stress/environment related ime. Definitely gotta start with solid genetics though, that's a huge factor in a decent vs great grow.

I still choose to believe that herms or ' self pollinating' plants are from genetics.
You're going to say both grows were same breeder aren't you?
I am sure many can error and cause good genetics to go bad, but I hear people who seem to do things right have these issues and most of the time it is the seeds themselves.
IMO that is why you see so many long time growers growing the same stuff over and over.

I did find small balls on bottom third of plant they looked like sesame seeds hollow and empty

Steamroller you have a good point , but i have to say I have been so lucky over the years wasnt looking at plants as close as i should have been.

Know both strains fom different breeders Glookies hermed and than spread to another room by me by accident
