SSHZ does B2ACG's Roswell Code and Honey Fried Banana's........

Started the UVB, 1 hour a day which I'll increase to 2 hours on Friday at 7 weeks and then go to 3 hours a day on everything past 8 weeks. I'm thinking they'll go 8.5 weeks now, maybe 9. Using full bloom fertilizer and will stop the cal/mag in a couple of days. I'm not very excited about this grow at all- I'm missing some sativa in my smoke. Next crop for sure..........
 
Next crop I'm thinking about putting the led's outside the room, just to make sure they are not too close........lol

Also note to myself- if I do ever buy led's again, make sure they have a built in dimmable knob.
 
Friday is 7 weeks thru flowering........definitely getting closer. I'm guessing 7-10 days. I'll increase the UVB to 2 hours tomorrow.......

Very smelly as you can well imagine........not for the faint of heart. It lingers in our clothes and when we go out, the wife gets paranoid and thinks everyone can tell we stink. It may be........lol

not that brand but i've used other brand bags. i liked them better than jars, easier to deal with. i grew lions mane in them. i've used them for cubes as well but only for the colonization, i still used a mono tub for the fruiting. (just didn't trust myself)
but the lions mane i ran the entire growth in the bag. worked awesome though, anywhere i wanted it to fruit i just put a slit in the bag.

only thing different than a jar is they kind of expand a little in the pressure cooker so leave a little extra room. the first time i used them i had a bag in along with jars and the bag formed all around the jars and had indents of all their shapes when i took it out!! haha looked funny, but still grew mushrooms!!

I have had heart success with using bags as well, did the same thing, used them for starting then transfer to tub. Got the bags for a good deal on eBay, ready to go.

Love the roswell code!!

I've used others bags in the past.....IMO the easiest way to go. I was just curious about those specific bags. i really enjoy having shrooms around when I get the urge, going to do something again in the near future.

God damn......some rotting animal smells coming from the room, after a 2 hour on period with the uvb.........I can't tell which plants it's coming from, but this is pure "nasty" in the worst sense. I noticed it a few days ago going up and down the basement steps but wasn't sure where it was coming from until today. This will be like smoking dog shit I'm guessing.............and I may be forced to smoke outside in the garage.
 
The Honey Fried Banana's is about a week behind the Roswell Code I think, and won't harvest those until week 9.........the Roswell's may be taken this weekend, but I'm in no rush.........

We'll see............today is day 53. I'm in no rush to harvest, and will probably go past 8 weeks before harvesting. I'm usually going 9-10 weeks anyway so I have a flexible time line. Most of you guys generally go longer than I do anyway. Not this time.

Really not sure if I need the UVB this crop with high resin counts expected anyway. Plants seem to be handling it well.
 
Weight is improving as buds expand and harden up.........the HFB's are finishing quickly and it seems overnight they took a big move forward. Thank god the stink seems to be remaining down stairs......but as soon as i open the basement door, BOOM- there it is wrecking havoc on your nose hairs. I think when I cut it and hang it in the basement, that's out the window as the a/c unit for the basement and 1st floor is located right there next to everything. Which means every odor downstairs is blown right upstairs.
 
If anyone has a recommendation as to what I should grow next (2 strains), speak up. Below are the strains I own and am considering.

Purple Lobster caught my eye.
 
This is one of the Roswell plants that yellowed up from light bleaching......Still, it's packing on the resin.

The crescendo you also have checked is likely Ethos.
Sweetleaf and myself have both grown that and it was fire.
SL had it tested it was under 30 I beleive.
Smelled so 'bad' trimming it was rough to be around, but it cure out nice and was a real good buzz.
 
Originally Ethos, one of the few with greats reviews from everyone who grew it. This was reworked by B2ACG, who I suspect improved it. Another monster yielder..........
 
Today, Friday, is 8 weeks thru flowering. B2ACG states 7-8 weeks on both of these.

A few notes...........running 2 hours a day of uvb. Or longer since I often forget about it. Lol

Looks like I'll try to go a full 9 weeks and chop the room down next weekend. Longer the better with these indica's I'm guessing.

Cal/mag was stopped earlier this week. They are getting about 320ppm bloom for 2 days, then a flush at 100ppm. Then repeat continuously. Monday I'll stop the fertilizer and give them 25% less water til the end.

The dehumidifier is set at 45%, and runs all the time on turbo setting. The humidity stays in the 50's but might go higher after lights out. I have to empty it 6X a day.
 
Was in the Amnesia website tonight...........in numerous grow descriptions they were recommending 3-4 hours daily of UVB for the last month..........wow, that's a lot of hours.

Gave the room a thorough look-see at lights out and I'm thinking everything is ready to go. Tomorrow I have shower caulking going on so I'll start the chop on Wednesday, day 61. The UVB's have never been on this much, and although the leaves are all curled up like an over done taco, the buds seem to be loving it.

Still trying to decide what to do next........but it will be another two strains from @B2ACG - probably Purple Lobster and Imperium X. But not 100% on those yet.

I see my local Ace Hardware store stocks both the Promix BX and Promix HP bales, both for $54.99.........My local garden center sells it for $85. They overcharge because they know it's pot growers buying it. Ace is generally expensive, so it surprised me when I went to fill my propane tank and saw a pile of them nearby and I asked for the price.
