Stoney, check Grandevo..........I saw Rasta Jeff using this (Irie Seeds) so I purchased it and it worked very well. It's clay based, which is used as a transport medium and is safe to use up to the last day of flowering.
The main ingredient in Grandevo is a bacterium called Chromobacterium subtsugae strain PRAA4-1T. This is a microbial-based active ingredient that acts as a bioinsecticide, meaning it is derived from a living organism and is considered environmentally friendly.
Key points about Grandevo:
- Active ingredient: Chromobacterium subtsugae strain PRAA4-1T and spent fermentation media
- Function: Used as an insecticide and miticide to control a variety of sucking and chewing insects
- Mechanism of action: When insects ingest the bacteria, it disrupts their digestive system, leading to mortality
It needs to be constantly shaken as you apply it, to keep it well mixed. It often leaves a little grey film on the leaves too. But I assure you, it's perfectly safe for plants and buds- and it does not affect taste, bud quality or plant health.
These days, this is my go to when a mite problem shows up- and a thorough sprayping will basically end your mite problem. Of course, if you miss spots in the room and are not thorough enough, some mites may survive. But I've never had to apply twice. I like the fact it's natural and except for the room not looking as pretty, it's my #1 go-to. A few of my past grows, I've detailed my use of it with pictures, etc.
i'll add this too for additional info:
"When using Grandevo to kill mites, you can typically expect to see control within 7-10 days with repeated applications every 3 days until the mite population is managed; for preventative measures, spray on a 5-7 day schedule to prevent new infestations."
Again, I've never had to apply it twice.
