ViparSpectra KS3000 - 5x5 Solo Cup run #2

I could probably part ways with my EC pen now that I have two meter's, one for each res, I don't see myself using the pens much. You just pay for shipping.
Cash app ?

As long as you won't find youre self going to get it and you're like "oh yea I got rid of it" Ill take ya up on the offer thanks man.

Nah bro it's just been hanging in the room since I bought it, barely used.

CashApp works for sure. I'll send it off, probably tomorrow when I ship Habo's seeds. Shoot me your address.

For 5 more dollars and tax I could have gotten the whole kit, and didn't see the 85$ for the pen in Amazon, it was 97 or so at the time.

i was looking at the results on Amazon a second before I bought it....now 85 lol

It's 29$ to get the care kit, so fucked my self out of 30$ , and for 5 more I could have had the nice kit too.

Oof.

Feelsbadman.
For a hundred that's a really good deal. Glad Grump got you covered.

@GrumpAzz - That's a good price for the GTB. We talked about this as a possible prize. Might be a good time to match it up with one of your contests.

Yea I don't feel too bad about it but then Amazon happens to drop the prices again....

Bluelab pH pen was 97 on Amazon now 85,

I think the pH pen+ kit was 120-150 range, now it's 99$ for the PEN AND FUCKING CARE KIT FUCK

For 5 more bucks...but oh well 30$ for the care kit.

Yeah this first raffle is almost up. 3 slots left. We've got some stuff lined up for the next couple. Pen set is still a great option.

So god damn tired

Here we go again

Just coming right back few days later bushy.

Went to sleep around 3, watered them 3 times before that then woke up at 1230 to plants starting to wilt and dried out media.

All seems fine though.

Didn't flood em before bed, was just doing high-freq-fert feeds, small amounts at a time.

30-60mls every hour or other, or so.

That seems a little high to me. I'm not up to snuff on watering in soil but my EC never got over 1.5 on my last run. Is 2.2 what your aiming for?
Not soil, vermiculite and or coco/perlite mix.
Or 100% perlite.

Probably switching to rockwool soon

Some run 4.0 EC start to finish.

Was wanting to try a higher ec I was doing a 1.5~ec before, so trying 2.0-2.2 now

And trying 2.5ec veg from 1.5ec

Watering events are every few hours.

Next thing to finally put together is a rez/auto water system/drip perhaps

Everything I've been doing is just fucking around pretty much.

just trying to learn everything I can as fast as possible, what you can't and can do, why and why not, what works and doesn't, learning salts and hydro,high-freq-fert, different growth techniques and methods and playing with my "recipe" plan to do a "real grow" in some rockwool as soon as these fuckers are done flowering

What parameters do what, learning how to read the plant etc

Only dove back in when I got stable and had an apartment last two years, now im ready for the wool.

And or another DWC run.

I do like playing with the water.

Well your plants look healthy. No signs of burn that I can see.

Keep it up, bro

Thanks man trying to get them healthier all the way around and get that proper Green shade, definitely already looking way better.

Leafs get these odd green pattern when pH fluctuates too much, new growth is looking way better after stripping the older not as healthy leafs.

The E.C I'm not completely sure yet, I'll probably go for 2.0 tonight and see, and they don't get all those PPMs at once so I think thats a big role in there too, but also they only take what they need supposedly, I don't know how it all works/balances together completely just yet, and then the watering frequency plays a role too.

Besides being sure you don't get too much of a dry back causing E.C spikes leading to toxicities as the water dries back leaving more salts behind.

Some commercial grows run 3.0 clone to harvest some 4.0, 2.5

Increasing the E.C is also part of crop-steering/ vegetative/generative steering.

Using osmotic pressure to stress the plants, increase the salt amount making it harder to uptake water, depending on the media.

Having all this food available but can't take it so easily does a thing to em and they GROW.

Osmotic pressure for rockwool/ somewhat coco.

In soil you can give less water to induce those responses through drought stress, works differently in rockwool.

Matrix potential or something, I'm just starting to understand it more/read about it more and play with it.

the matric potential of a media - basically the surface tension of the water, how "hard" its sticking to the media particles
the plant has to overcome this force to pull it up from the media

Matric suction varies with the inherent soil condition in the site.

The osmotic suction is the pressure due to the dissolved solutes (i.e. salt) in the soil pore water. Osmotic suction influences the movement of water from a lower solute concentration region to a higher solute concentration region.

and it varies A LOT from soil, to coco to rockwool and others and other variables.

Hehe

Awesome.

.2 E.C from tap another little bit from .5 Epsom that isn't needed but I just want to see, or "boost" for now for mG

Was aiming for 2.0 but didn't care to alter it to get exact

4.0g 9-17-28
3.0g 15-0-0
.5g magnesium sulfate
6ml 34%
3ml hypo acid pool shock

Veg solution is hint of green, bloom solution is clear.
-JRCROPTECH

DO sensor at some point to see if doing this increases DO, if any.

Stirs up alot of the surface area of the water and
atmo together.

Added little more tap 1.1gallon perhaps

Very cheap salts/nutrients and seemingly very effective

I only started using these when I got the pH pen.

Time to change out this water, just been sitting in it overnight

Not supposed to do this but whatever it's working for now and not much longer.

Last place shafted this grow hard just ready to get it over.

Some plants looking frosty though.

Should make for a nice little personal smoke till the next round with more than likely rockwool.

Maybe if I check the run off e.c/ppm and see how much it drops, subtract that amount from the normal starting solution and that's the new solution.

Maybe they'll get it more precise on what it's using and not and more accurate nutrient usage and less waste in DTW high-freq-fert.

Would possibly equate to too low of E.C

Not sure about the "quality" of these "rockwool" cubes but should work for starters/clones/seeds Atleast.

Of course that's expected though when paying only 14$ for 200ct 1x1x1 cubes from China lol
