Only difference it being legal to me is attitude. I got busted back in the day.
I hope the gov't-controlled experiment fails miserably. They will never have enough tax money so it can never work IMO.
I give friends ounces for $100.
Just 3 years ago I was paying $1200 a QP no breaks~!
Never been in dispo and hopefully never will.
The black market is still in control here.
Everything the dispo sells you can get on the street for less than half usually.

That must've been rough. They were pretty harsh on weed a few decades ago. Had an old friend that did some time for possession with intent to sell. Asshole Judge ordered 85% of his 6 year sentence before he could be considered for parole. By the time he submitted and got a parole hearing he would already have served his entire sentence.

All because people got brainwashed into thinking weed was so DANGEROUS.....

You look at it and think "What the fuck were they so scared of?" but then again, it seems we keep repeating that as a civilization.

No. I would never wish it was still illegal. I can grow a dozen plants legally, there are cannabis festivals all over the place, you can freely buy and sell seeds, edibles and extracts are readily available if I want them.

And just like in the illegal days, people want to know where I got my weed.

No, never. Maybe no dispensaries or big farms and just make it all private home grows. But I can smoke whenever tobacco can be smoked unless otherwise stated.
I'm free to carry 3ozs on me in public, I can store 5lbs at home.
In my state they made it a law that landlords CAN NOT tell you that you can't grow, just that it stinks and to do something with the smell. I could never ever imagine going back to illegal days and it's not even federally legal here yet. So I have a feeling even more leniency in the years coming.

And being able to sleep at night/not dream about the boys in blue busting the door down and taking everything you had including the kids.

I had a few visits myself. Thank Bob for med cards though. Would have been bad w/o 'em.

The experiment is working. The Gov't is getting tax dollars from drug sales. That never happened in the old days. Back then they had to for for your assets/etc. This is far easier for them.

I'm just glad I played as hard as I could from '91 til '14 when I decided I wasn't going to do the same work for 1/4 of the price. It was a good run though!

In BC a pound of weed 20 years ago could get you $2800 USD, about $3400 Cdn at the time. Today, $800 Cdn maybe.

With the legal supply in BC at least, so far anything decent is massively overpriced and anything cheap, is trashy. And you can now get an oz of quads for $60-$80 from your old dealer because the price has been driven so low.

I knew a lot of fantastic growers who got pushed out of the game, which sucks. Likewise knew several smarmy business types who made millions in cannabis businesses after legalization. End of the day, I like the cheap weed, as it should be cheap, but the wrong people profited when it was legalized, and for that I can't support it.
