Just wondering what the community thought could be causing this twist in my leaves
Light is a yehsence 2000 was at 100% 16” above the canopy I did just turn it down to 75% running about 550 on the ppfd according to my phone meter
They’re planted in FFOF
Watering by weight or when leaves begin to droop (every 7-10 days)
Have a fan just tickling them

This happened to my plants last year and it was eventually fine once the got stronger and went outside

decrease light by an hour or two or decrease intensity

its getting too much DLI And turning away from the light, i think.

aim around 300pppfd, 550 sounds high for that.

550 to high for seedlings. When you see any issue always reduce light until corrected.

Looks to me like possibly heat and N tox may be an issue. Could be from low humidity with higher temps? With the light intensity

Is the fan coming in from the right?

Can you spin the cup for a day and see if the angle changes? My gut is wind.
fan is coming in from the direction the leaf is pointed but the other plant has leaf’s pointed the opposite way (basically between both plants N,S,E & W have leaves that are twisting)
Are you using tap water ? Those babies will grow out of it - could any of the above suggestions
Actually I’m currently try water out of my sump pump, it’s basically ground water so I though it would be ok to try

I’m pretty sure it’s the light, the one was looking fine Friday I think but I thought they where big enough to really give them some light, basement temp runs a steady 68 so if anything they’re cold. N tox is possible, I’ve heard FFOF can be harsh for seedings but can’t really fix that 🤦🏻‍♂️😬

Yeah you just ride that out… id put the ppfd to about 150 for now and see in a couple days how they are. Careful not to over water in cooler temps

It could be over feeding but only cause FFOF runs hot, I haven’t fed anything yet personally 🤷🏼‍♂️ They have slightly un-twisted but no great, on the other hand no more leaves have followed suit so I’m guessing the 100% on the light was just way to much

I’ll post a pic Monday, we camping for the weekend!!

Yeah you cant do anything about the nutrients but they will grow into them just fine

Hey y’all checking in, moved the girls out to the garage
A: for the warmth
B: for the morning sun through the window

Plants are growing well, the leaves that twisted still have a twist but seem no worse for the wear.

HOWEVER one plant (my purple punch cookies) is showing some form of distress…thoughts?

Unfortunately I’m leaving tonight till Sunday so I was gonna water them before leaving now I’m not sure what to do to them so they recoup/survive

Uo pot and water before leaving the larger volume of media will hold more water and they should be good until you get back
