Nice! It's easy to imagine how important the fine tuning is at that level. I'll bet even the tiniest tweaks will be noticeable when you get accustomed to the bike. Sounds like a lotta fun is on the way in your near futureHey hey!!
The road bicycle thing is 100% new to me from mountain biking. But yes you do feel all the vibrations from the road, having no shocks and high air pressure and all. The tape on the handlebars is meant to help with vibration and grip, also have riding gloves to help. Then a good riding position etc
Tbh the previous owner couldn't do it anymore cause of arthritis pain, no more bike, motorcycle and bicycle he sold.
Yeah the tire pressure is crazy right?? So 120 is Max, but using a calculator I should use 104 Psi based on total curb weight, including me on the bicycle, and road conditions, maybe 6 variables you punch in, some like weight distribution of the bike.
Just changed both tires and tubes last night, tubes dry rotted. I just learned what wire bead tires are for bicycles, boy they were fun getting on lol
It's a little intense, everything must be just right to ride for hours in joy instead of pain. I've looked up that there are several places that to a bicycle fitting for $100 with sensors and equipment to measure pressure points and get a perfect adjustment for comfort to your bike. Going to see if I can figure it out on my own though.
I get mad at other cyclists too, mostly people who use the sidewalk when a bike lane exists and then cross the sidewalk... Makes me mad, DMV says to share the road so I am on the road practicing all the road laws too. Now some roads have a sign "bicycle may use full lane" this means they can ride double on those roads. Just did a bike tour earlier this year and saw why, for safety in packs on big groups in the country side.
I have a road route here I like that has a bicycle lane the whole way
I almost liked this, but remembered I took the week off work. Not gonna wish it away no matter how hot it gets, lol.Getting to the halfway point of a hot week.

Mostly standing, but I’m used to that on bikes and motorcycles. My wife met me with my van at about the 2/3 home point. That was good, homes up hill most of the way.Sounds like a rough ride home with no seat.
Except pay day. I really miss paydays!I’m retired so every day is any day I want it to be, lol.
Secret Caverns up the roadHowe Caverns?

Thanks! I’m happy to be back! Very nice words..made me smile! So sorry for your troubles. I wish only rest and healing for you and please stay safe in this hot and humid hell of a Summer. You are a well respected and received member here, and I only wish the best for you. So nice to see you in conversation here, again.
Good to have ya back Granny, its been weird without ya here for at least a late evening smoke!Hey Yiz Menz!
Been missing all of yiz. I have been going from daylight to dark since the first of May. Finally things are slowing down for me. Yesterday the Hubby mowed the yard. Never thought I’d be so happy with something so simple..but here I am killing it! He is doing fantastic and I’m even better!
I’ve been traveling through this like Mister McGoo..narrowly avoiding disaster. A tick bite that immediately did the big bullseye rash necessitates ten days of a high powered antibiotic. Said antibiotic makes one heat sensitive. I overheated mowing the lawn. Literally riding a mower! Not pushing one or physically exerting myself..this sent me into second stage kidney failure. Thank Creator that this completely reversed itself within three weeks! The meds made me sick enough that I could not eat and I have dropped 27 lbs. Now, throw into this a wedding (where everyone jumped my ass saying I’m too skinny) and just general upkeep will tell you why I have not been here, nor been inclined to just come in and bitch.
I made it! New crop in cups waiting to be transplanted, hubby back on his feet and a trip cross the mountains today to meet a friend for a seafood dinner.. I’m back and on top of it!![]()
Yes, more often than one would think lolAny of ya ever get the strange feeling that we are living out some cut rate scifi novel from a third rate author that smokes wayyyyyy too much weed and drinks whiskey like tea?

Good morning PAL.Mornin Yiz Menz! It’s friiiiiiday!
Mornin my friend! All is good here, well the weather is not the best we have a week of bad stuff coming with the heat index running 112*-115*!Good morning PAL.
Still waiting for rain to fill the barrels again but otherwise a good week.
Rifle stock prototype is done and ready to test.
Garden is finally producing and plants/flowers are blooming.
Only a high of 25* today, nice and cool out so far. If we could just get a good downpour now…
Glad you’re able to catch your breath. Maybe enjoy a day to yourself if that’s your thing. Good book on the porch with a joint early afternoon?
Have a great day.![]()
Oh my, that is horrible. Stay cool.105* on my front porch..I could do without it!
It’s a good start. Slow any easy if you can. After your full dance card last month you might be able to relax a little this month. My wife’s been having stomach issues lately. Guessing stress but she won’t see the doc about it.Mornin my friend! All is good here, well the weather is not the best we have a week of bad stuff coming with the heat index running 112*-115*!
I’m good, being able to eat helps greatly.
Can’t sit still long enough to read a book yet but I have four girlfriends coming this evening for a porch sitting smoke session.
Oh no, be careful. It’s a good start. Slow any easy if you can. After your full dance card last month you might be able to relax a little this month. My wife’s been having stomach issues lately. Guessing stress but she won’t see the doc about it.![]()
I understand the cancer scare and putting it off. Been there, done that.Oh no, be careful.
I avoided the doctor for weeks when my Crohn's started, was so scared I had cancer, I was losing a lot of blood in my stool.. I didn't go to the hospital until my arms went numb from lack of blood after a rough bathroom visit. Almost lost my colon cause I didn't go in earlier, all I'm trying to say is sometimes waiting can bite you in the ass, I was going through tums like candy, turned out it was making it worse...
I definitely hope it's nothing that bad and just something your wife ate
Looks like the pills are for stomach acid.I understand the cancer scare and putting it off. Been there, done that.
In her case it’s because she works at hospital. IMO she doesn’t want anyone knowing her business. Plus no one really likes going to be poked and prodded.
I’ve had the same thing for a while. Or close to the same thing. It’s Like an ice ball behind the belly button. A dull never ending sort of pain. But hers is worse.
I was at the docs a few weeks ago for something else so I mentioned my stomach and he prescribed pills I just started taking yesterday. Was hoping it would go away. We’ll see how it goes. Got to look them up online as she wants to take one and I don’t know what they do yet.
We’re enjoying it. AC is off. Windows open. Wife’s hoodie is on.July 22nd and its 45 degrees outside. Wtf?
Oh im not complaining, its just crazy, although it has snowed on my birthday at the end of June before so I guess its not that crazy. Just oddWe’re enjoying it. AC is off. Windows open. Wife’s hoodie is on.
That's new to me, have to look it up later.Looks like the pills are for stomach acid.
But I suspect we have something else…Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS).
Nothing severe but uncomfortable and never quite goes away.
It’s hard to say when you get to the age where everything you like that has heat, zing, or part of the garlic/onion family causes some sort of discomfort hours after you eat it.![]()
My budy had chs.he would throw up constantly only relief was when he was in the showerLooks like the pills are for stomach acid.

We do a few joints and/or vapes a day. Usually after 3pm, mostly afternoon unless holidays/weekends. Before growing we never smoked more than two a day unless a weekend. We’d also run out on occasion. My budy had chs.he would throw up constantly only relief was when he was in the shower
He had to quit smoking so heavy ,had to cut back to a couple bowls a day.
Couldn’t stand his voice or music but may he rest in peace.
