The title says it all. I’m jumping all in on RDWC and ordered the 4 site 13 gal system from PAH last night. I will be sticking with the GH trio for nutes. Once I get everything set up, I will come back with some more details. Something is telling me I should cross these two strains and make Blueberry Ice Cream!

How did you germinate? Just place the seeds into the rockwool?

Is that 11 days from sowing or 11 days from sprout?
I use float tech method. That is 11 days from dropping them straight into the water. All had tails within 48 hrs. Put them in rockwool around the 3 day mark. After a few more days, they all popped up.

All right… Five will go on three blueberry cherries and two ice cream cake. I made a mini DWC out of a 7 gal tote. They will live here until their roots get a little bigger as well as buy myself time to finish up my current DWC grow. Once the current run is over I need to clean the tent and set up the 4 site RDWC, which will be the seedlings final home.

Its been about two weeks since my last update and Ive hit a snag. My seedlings have gone limp and showing very little growth. Water level is maybe a half inch below the net pot. It may have been too high to start, which may have been my issue. The roots seem to be growing, so im not sure what is causing the issue. PPFD is right around 150. PPMs is 225 and PH is 5.8. Air temp is 78 and humidity is 55%. Any thoughts on how to get these babies growing again?

I had this issue as well with my last two grows. Last grow, it happened to every seedling and I abandoned them all. This round, it only happened to two of them. I shitcanned one and replaced it with a spare from my dome.

I can't say exactly what the issue was because I made a few adjustments and they righted themselves. The general consensus, for me anyway, was that I was hitting them with too much light. The seedlings in my dome were doing fine and the light source there is WAY underpowered compared to my tent's light.

A couple other things you could look out for would be airflow. My fans weren't blowing hard but they were blowing directly onto my seedlings.

At this stage, I'd probably still be above 60% humidity, aiming for a VPD of around 1, maybe a little under.

Leaf temps are also arguably more important than tent temps and humidity. Leaf temps should be 75-77 degrees.

@Aqua Man or @moe.red might chime in with more accurate info. I'm still so new to all this.

i'd like to weigh in as a total noob and see if i learned anything.. don't do this but i suggest lowering everything. put the breaks on... i'd lower the light intensity, i'd lower the ph a touch(it's my understanding that young plants like it acidic and closer to 5.5) , i'd even lower the ppm's a bit( not that it's high for week two, but it's high for wounded plants) . and i would also lower the plants themselves, i'd dump out the clay and set the stem in the cup a little deeper and add the clay back in. (this is more of a preventive maintenance, my theory is the plant will use less energy trying to hold itself up and put it towards growing.) again total h2o noob and wanna see if i'm correct or not.

i would really like to hear from the experts and see what they say...

@Stoneyluv and @GrumpAzz nailed it. When starting out dial the light back a ton until you get a good root system then they can be pushed harder.

Its not nutrient related.

What is the temp and humidity?

The first week or 2 top feeding will likely be required depending upon the starter media.

Also keep wind iff them they don’t need it at this stage. All they need is air movement in the room or tent.

Light is probably the biggest factor

Well the adjustments appear to be working. I raised the light and increased humidity to 60%. I ended up pulling a runt Blueberry Cherry and replacing it with a GMO clone. Hopefully the seedlings continue to improve and grow.

Ice Cream Cake is the absolute best weed for me when sleep is a problem.
That stuff will put me to sleep in about 30 min.
Good luck, I'm along for the ride.

I used to have a great Wedding Cake cut, but I let it go. I generally lean gas but love some cake to mix it up. Hoping one of these ice cream cakes is a keeper!

Moved everything to my 4x4 yesterday. Things seem to be improving pretty quickly now. PPMs holding steady at 350 and 5.7ph. I plan to set up my 4 site RDWC at some point in the next week.

A few weeks behind, but the RDWC is finally up and running. These are 13 gal buckets with a 13 gal res. Running H2O2 for the next few days and then will drain and fill nutes and place the plants.

We are up and running. On the left is Ice Cream Cake. Back right is GMO and front right Blueberry Cherries. These have been neglected a bit while I tried to find time to get my system running. I expect a quick recovery from here 🤞

The one negative is reservoir changes. What a pain to mix 5 gallons at a time. Going to get a big mixing drum.
Rubbermaid Brutes are standard for water storage and prep.
32 or 42 gallon barrels work well and are the largest commonly found and used.
They work well and last years.
I used the wheeled carts [$$] for 32 and under.
They make 20 and 10 gallon also.
Cool Beans grows in a 10g hydro set up he made.

They'll be up to the net in no time.

We’re cruising. Res has been really stable at 5.8 and 500 PPMs. VPD set at 1.2. The GMO is showing some tip burn, so I will dial back to 400ppm. The new growth on the Blueberry Cherries (front right) looks much better.
