Do you have standing seam walls on your house?
Gazebo looks great too man, beautiful work. Update us when the copper gets tarnished. Love the look of green copper

Yea North wall is SS copper rest of house is cedar shakes.
I'll be matching the cedar and brown on the shop for the garage.
Same shingles will go on garage as the gazebo. It will all tie in fantastically I hope.
Long ago when I started working in my house I heard some say that doesn't match what's there.
I said that is because I have not done the rest yet~!
It's all coming together.
Thanks man~!

Nice columbines. Beautiful spot bro
Thanks man.
I just wish I had masonary skills.
Stone and metal rock in my world.

Steam does the copper take longer to patena than bronze? I am just asking because I was at driving by a building years ago and they had just recently finished the metal roof. It was about 1 to 2 miles from the ocean with prevailing winds forcing the salt spray to reach the material pretty easy. Does the salt spray decrease the time for the patena to start?

Yea any difference in water beyond neutral [ think like a grower] will have an effect on the copper.
Also exposure will have play in it.
I suspect the soffit will not turn as fast as the fascia.
This will be brown in 5 years hopefully.
Who knows how long for patina green here?

You have a very cool place steam

Well I fell 4 boards short of completing the ceiling. 🤷‍♂️
Getting a rain day today so may run over to lumber yard if it slows down enough.
Still got to pad up the roof and install plywood.
All the Heart pine was just so I don't see nails while hanging in the shade..
Pretty pleased with my effort so far.

I would have loved to use cedar or Doug Fir but with lumber prices the Heart pine was a step up from knotty pine and cost about $800 for just the ceiling.
So I am still under 2K so far..
The framing was about $900.
After the plywood and blocking I will hopefully have most of the other materials for the roof. That should round me out near 2K.
Still deciding whether to do full copper standing seam like the pool house in background or use some shingles I have left over. They are the best shingles sold and pretty good looking.
The pitch is so low you won't see much of it up close.
I do have some super beefy copper louvers [ 32-48 oz] from a SUNY removal that I want to incorporate in-between the two levels so steel roof is out due to galvanic action.
that looks like some pretty clean work though.

nice.
