Stoney's Luv Shack

seasons?!?! i'm an outlaw, my family doesn't even know when i fill the freezer sometimes...
Lmao, gotta do what ya gotta do right?

i wouldn't mind 8" of white stuff!! not sure if my dodge feels the same way!!! i need to get chains or something on it, the traction sucks. my buddy suggested a better tire but even on craigs list the off roaders are kinda pricy. chains were only about $250 for all four... i'll wait an see.
Round bale or a big ol tree stump is all i ever used right over the rear axle.
Plowed a lot of snow in a 2wd square body with a 350 small block and never slipped a tire until you hit the banks.

Just thankful this hits on weekend as opposed to weekday when stupid people think life can not pause.
I know they get all stupid down south with an inch but up here they be stupid 24/7 so snow just don't show it the same.
Being Sunday will at least keep some of them out of the road crew's way.

I never installed a new battery in the F250 so I will be clearing with the Kubota.
No cab or desire to play in the snow so some time middle of day hopefully tomorrow?

i got steel in the bed and filled to top with firewood, spins in the dirt even without snow.. tires look like they would be good tread for snow but they suck!!! i never got my square body stuck ever,,, this pos dodge had to get pulled out three times now!!!

you got that right man!! especially when it's the first snow in a while too, people forget how to drive in it!!! i'm sure my neighbors fence is gonna get smashed! happens every year..

.
i guess it don't matter how much ya get then, if ya can't push it you can scoop it!!!! :D

My house is close to a 4 way intersection. Clear line of sight.
Only stop signs on my street not the intersecting.
Accidents happen and when they do 9 out of 10 times the guy on the south side get his fence smashed~!
Poor guy has had to replace sections every year since he built and installed it himself~!
After the first accident that sheared 2-3 4x4s he stopped using concrete around his post~! :ROFLMAO:
Someone will probably get his fence tomorrow as well~!

hahaha... this guy fought and fought with the township for years... finally they put a stop sign at the bottom of the hill. first snow, somebody smashed his fence... a stop sign?!?!?! hahaha i told him to put logs on the ground four feet in front of the fence... he don't wan't to mow around them... okay fix fence, catch your horses. rinse lather repeat!!! haha

I like the rear drag snow plows that some areas are starting to use.

those things are cool as hell. all the guys that get pull plows seem to not even use the push plow anymore, maybe just for a little clean up at the end. pull plows are amazing for parking lots!

there only seems to be two or three brands that are good though, the rest seem to suck and not many mid quality ones yet.

People are so dumb around here man. 🙄🤷🏻🤦🏻

It's been reasonable this season so far with no snow, but the stupid will be seen.
If this hit on Monday they could have shut the Northway [ I-87 ] down~!
1 accident had 5+ miles stacked up all 3 lanes the other day. Clear weather?🤪

I was a toll collector at one time for the NYS thruway.
And believe me, there were more accidents on bright sunny days than in the winter!!!
They come around a turn and the sun hits their eyes, they drive right off the road, i dont get it!
What is wrong with people man?

Had a buddy with the same issues. The city didnt' care. They told him it was his problem. After having to listen to him whine about it but do absolutely nothing I told him I'd fix his problem and if it worked he'd pay me for the work. He agreed.

Rented a Kubota skid with a backhoe attachment and dug out the area where his fence kept getting hit. Excavated a 48" deep trench and filled it with cement. We had set up 8 inch wide metal poles filled with cement along the trench before we backfilled with cement. A few months later my buddy calls me and tells me a city inspector had come by and cited him saying that the barrier was not approved and that if cars hit it it would do more damage than normal to the cars and those driving. He took the city to court and the city got laughed out of court after he showed the countless times his fence would get hit and the receipts for the repairs he'd made when cars would hit his fence.

That was 10 years ago and so far all my buddy has had to do was paint over the automotive paint that gets stuck on the pole when you crash into it. I noticed that after the city lost in court they installed a stop light at that corner.

the funniest thing i ever saw driving was in NY, on my way home from jfk and a truck lost it's load that was full of those little paper toilet seat covers... ass gaskets all over the highway!!! six lanes covered for like two miles!!!!! hahaha

just walked out to the chicken coop,,, yeah i'm gonna have to plow/blow/shovel... dammit!! good 5 inches and still coming down.

new little engine that could snow blower works tits!!! ten years ago it was nothing to shovel the sidewalk and post hole it out to the plow truck and clean up with the shovel again.. then five years ago i was like ehhh... now i'm over fifty and like screw that!!!!! :ROFLMAO:

ended up clearing a path all the way out to the chicken coop and cleared a spot to the plow... i can go plow in my slippers now!!!!! i'm so lazy!! about all i gotta shovel now is the porch steps!!!

PSA... don't eat yellow snow!!!

.
.

plants are in thier new home for a week now. no negative signs.. a couple don't have much positives either though. not sure what i'll do with them yet, either rearrange or take em out. i'll decide in a few weeks when the time comes...

lights are at 15/9.. gonna wait another a week maybe two before i start taking some blue out... 12/12 will happen on the 28th.

Built a new fence summer of 2022. That following winter car took out the first section. Got towed out. And never left a note. We find it the next morning in pieces. 🤦

You know, I am litigious, I stopped "Restitution" in Fee's Texan's paid after accidents, DWI's, ect. Claimed to the Court of conviction, I was indigent, and filed Tax documents to prove so to the Judge in a Petition. Now the State "Repealed" the "Double Jeopardy" Law and more Texan's are driving legally, yes the surcharges were making Texan drive "Illegally" to work or Travel. City's too need observance for mis managed depts. Ect. SSgrower Canna People in Texas must be "fairly quiet" in the background because Texas Lawmen will "Lock up" trouble makers, no charge needed!

You might have to turn in your hillbilly card Mr. Luv.
You should be looking like Cousin Eddie wielding a flamethrower and a Natty Light!

maybe if we got a little dusting like the flatlanders do a torch would work fine... here in the hills we need a little more umph!! although i already do own the hat, i would just need to find a white robe!!! but i gotta say, my naty ice days are over!! hahaha last time i bought that was in morgantown!!!

country roads baby!!!

got a new watering can today... dual handle with a spray nozzle...

002.JPG

watered all the plants with it... made it rain!!!!

003.JPG

tomorrow night we turn the timer back another hour... two more weeks till 12/12!!! i'm still not sure if i'm keeping all nine plants. i think four of them are going to do well. three others will do okay and two of them might not do much at all... don't know if i'll pull them or just rearrange. for now i'm leaning to just rearrange and roll with it.. if there were three that were small it would be easy but to keep a third row just for one plant seems silly to me. we'll see, a lot can still happen in two weeks so i'll make up my mind after then.

That watercan is like the long arm of the law!!!💪

Plants are looking good bro! All that training and clocks winding down is some tricked out shit. Like a natural progression into flower like outside.

I'm just a harsh fucker I suppose...you're going from 18/6 to 11.5/13.5 and you're gonna like it bitches!!!

I think this city is about to lose it's shit bro. It's gonna freeze Monday. No snow. No blizzard. No ice. Just very cold and lemme tell ya, people are already freaking out at gas stations and the grocery stores like the end of days is near.
I'm gonna check my generator today, change it's oil and maybe burn off a 1/4 tank of gas so it's ready just in case we lose power. Same shit I do when a hurricane might get us and that's about it.
It's not really the weather that concerns me as much as somebody doing something batshit crazy and fucking it up for everybody. People already taking all the water meter keys from the city free services and selling them on facebook. Fucking scammer shit. Times like these I hate city life.

hell yeah man, i can reach the back row with that watering can without even extending my arm all the way or leaning in!!! gonna be spoiled now!!!!

i'm really liking this gradual flowering, i think i'm gonna continue with it next time and maybe even more aggressive and starting earlier next time.

i wonder if it changes any other timing along the way, like when i give them their "down there care" maybe before week 3 of 12/12??? and total finish time, maybe sooner??? a few unknowns for me right now and it adds some excitement!!
a couple of them are already showing some girly parts...

made a london broil in the sous vide today... wow wow wow!!! $3 a pound..... freakin amazing... cooked it 133* for 16 hours. that perfect right in between rare and medium rare.. so tender it broke in half taking it out of the bag!!!

001.JPG003.JPG

bro that i a great idea running your genny and getting it ready!!!! i did it to mine just a month ago or so, battery is all charged up and ready to go!! i thought i might have needed it yesterday, we had a hell of a storm with 35mph gusts.. good thing it was rain and not snow though. we got over 2" of rain, that translates to 2ft of snow if it would have been colder!!! but the power went off a half a dozen times or so and more flickers and brown outs than i can count!!! never lost the internet so thats always a plus!!!

but dude we got stupid people here too, whenever the weather guessers say we're gonna get some snow the grocery stores are sold out of bread and milk every time!!! like people think they won't get out for weeks or something!!! hahaha

good luck to you guys man!!! hope all your power stays on and your plants stay nice and toasty!!!!

^^ SEXY~!^^
Hell yea~! Love seeing the early pistils.
She's revving up~!
IMO this is where the " it has to be on day 21" defol gang just might not be right?
IMO you have to listen to the plants. I believe you will think you are at 3 weeks flower before you are actually at 3 weeks using this method.
I believe many say flower starts when you see pistils, but this can not be the case for you or I since we are not 12/12?
It is this week 14 hours leading to 13 hours I think you see the most change. Just guessing but? After this week I might be inclined to start the count for flower.

WHEN TO START COUNTING CANNABIS FLOWERING DAYS

How long does cannabis flowering last?

The cannabis community hasn’t made up its mind on this issue. So, on the whole, there are two different points from which growers tend to begin counting the days of the flowering stage.

COUNTING FROM THE DAY YOU FLIP TO 12/12Many growers just start counting flowering from the day they switch the lights over to a 12/12 schedule. After all, this is the point at which the plant gets the cue to start flowering, so it’s a simple point of departure. The issue with this method is that—at least externally—the plant may not appear to begin flowering immediately. Whether there is some delay between light change and flowering, or if there are simply some internal changes that occur first, is up for debate. However, there is likely to be a small period during which the plant does not appear to be flowering after you flip the light schedule.

COUNTING WHEN THE FIRST PISTILS APPEAR

Another method is to wait for the first pistils to appear. Pistils are the little white hairs that begin growing at the plant’s nodes (where the branches meet the stem), and will later cover the buds and turn red/orange.

Pistils mark the very beginnings of bud sites, and are the crucial sign that a plant has begun flowering. So, if you want to take your cues from the plant itself, rather than the environment, this is the best method. There can be no doubt that flowering has started once pistils appear.

I'm not saying you or I are at day 1 flower[ technically we are] but I think you will defol if you do in under 1 month which is still less than 3 weeks from 12/12.

I have been pulling big fans off mostly lower and in the middle the last 3 times I went in the room. They're getting thick~!

i totally agree man, it's gotta be different timing just in what i'm already seeing. i'm still gonna count my flowering from the 25th though, just to have a date on the calendar but absolutely 100% i agree on the five stages of the plant. i just count the day it opens day one and the day it goes to 12/12 day one to have something to use on a calendar. not that i grow by a calendar, i use it as a reference like i think most of really do.

seeing these pistils popping i am counting this the pre flower stage and when i'm done typing this i will head down to adjust the timers for the next change and will also raise the red and white spectrums and lower the blue down to 50% of the white. when i feel they are in flowering i will take another 10% of blue out.

so if i was to judge the timing i would say i am in pre flower. but again, i will use the calendar to count once i het 12/12 otherwise to me it's just figure skating, all judgement! what if my eyes wern't this good and i never saw the pstils, then i'd still be in veg!! haha

last grow was one of the first times i did a lower defol in a very long time. i accidentally did it on week three of 12/12 and never even knew about that rule till recently. 😄 but i also cleaned them up on week two, it didn't look to be enough so i went to town the next week.
this time i plan to clean them up just when the stretch is done, my plants aren't healthy enough this round to not have stretch so i expect to see some. once this happens that will also trigger the lowering of blue light that last 10%. and then put the finishing spectrum of heavy blue on the last two weeks.

that's my plan anyway!!!!!

moving timer to 14/10. but you're right, technically flowering just started on those few plants. i've really thought about cutting out a bunch of my lower thick growth like you've been doing.. maybe if i have some time tonight i'll start on couple plants and get ahead of the game a little.

this is my favorite part of the grow!!

So if we play the moon game also defol on or after the 25 is what you want.
The moon is growing till full on the 25. The defol is best when the moon is fading. Ironically 3 weeks from today would be perfect moon time~!
No harm IMO pulling a fan that is blocking light or fading away at any time, but large removals I would do after the 25.
This is cool to try to coordinate with and mimic nature.(y)

alright, thanks. i'll wait... can't hurt,,, not sure if i 100% believe in it yet but my plants have had a rough life so if there's a chance it could be easier on them i'll try. i do have windows in my basement so technically when i open the doors the plants can see the moon a little!! i'll bite! 🩲 and thanks to CannaGranny for posting it too!!!

I've noticed that breeder timelimes tend to match when first pistil is seen.

that makes a lot of sense huh.. i normally see pistils around week two of switching to 12/12 and i normally flower for ten weeks so that would make the breeders saying 8 weeks be pretty accurate.

The force of the moon does not need to be seen.
It is a true force that moves tides higher I have seen many times in my life.
I worked with 'crazys' on locked secure units for 12 years and some of those guys wouldn't have known it was a full moon if you explained it every day to them, yet they flipped their shit on full moons like clockwork~!
I think with plants like the ocean when full it pulls more liquid higher in the plant.
When fading it allows for more liquids around roots. That keeps the stress of removal lower IMO.

On breeder times going from first pistil that would explain a lot.
Why people think they go so long since many never see pistils until 2 weeks after flip.
With female seeds I have almost always seen pistils before I flipped/ started counting flower even going 18/6 right to 12/12.
That would explain why I always think I chop early when my plants always seem to say they are ready~!
