Stoney's Luv Shack

Ahh man dang. Sorry for your loss Buddy. Like ol Diesel Farmer used to say, Fuck Cancer.🤬

Yeah it looks like we broke the server. It seems nobody can load pics right now. Hopefully they get it fixed cuz I wanna see that bud porn!!

I won't spoil the race for ya but it was a good one. Well not good for the 14 or the 8 but watching the 8 go behind the wall and cry early was pretty good.🤣
Man I've been on a lobster roll tear since Vegas. Had an awesome one out there and have had one just about every week since. How you like 'em...cold with mayo or warm with butter?
If I make them I actually like a little bit of slaw in there so I go cold with a squirt of lemon or lime and the coleslaw. Yummy! Like if a lobster roll and fish taco had a baby, that's I make. If I add pico de gallo then it's almost like a lobster ceviche roll.

Yep..'nother scorcher today. And it's the first day in full pads :devilish:

Thanks brother man, and yeah mrs. DF and diesel were both in my thoughts over the past few days along with some others that lost that fight. i'll never forget my buddy Joe and he'll probably be in my heart at every concert i go to. i've seen a lot of bands with him and it'll be tough to see that first one without him. like forrest gump says, thats about all i have to say about that!
.
.

ah man you can keep your cabbage n slaw.. but yeah, cold lots of mayo, a squirt of thick hot sauce and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar!!!! hot and buttered is pretty good too though... hahaha almost no wrong way for me bro. yep, my mouth is watering now!!!

i got a few left over fried shrimp sitting on the counter... i might fake myself out and pretend it's a lawwwstaaw roll!!! hahaha

.
.

just got done watching the second half... man the first half was way better and it should have ended there!!! that is so messed up with gragson.. and then he was forced to humiliate himself in a comment. this society needs to wake da fuck up, so ridiculous. i hope he lands a better job than those ass hats... be cool if he was harrison burton's teammate with the wood brothers!!

but man FRK again?!?!? buesher lightin it up!! kinda impressive right before the playoffs...

and what is up with kyle larson's new haircut?!?! looks like ricky stenthouse!!! hahaha

.
.

got my new fans today so now i have airflow across all six plants and not just four and a half. still dealing with the stretch though almost and inch a day yet and tomorrow starts week four!! i don't have much room left in the winches so i hope there about settled in and ready to frost up!! once this round is done i'm going to remove the turntable instead of just covering it up, that should give me and extra three of four inches. and with four inches more i wouldn't even be talking about this right now. not worried yet, just noticing it.

but yeah man all ren and stimpy here!!!

DSCN0901.JPG

so i think i may have accidentally mixed up a couple seeds, i'm not sure but it looks weird how the rear corner plants look more similar to each other and the two front corner plants look more similar to each other... the back two are much shorter and the same as each other... i don't know if i mixed em up or not but i really think i'd like to move the plants around quick while i still have the chance... i think i'm going to put the shorter two on one side and the taller on the other then i can adjust to light for more even coverage.

what do you think? a little lopsided... would you move em around?

☠️

You're walking in high cotton!!
I arrange mine by size going left to right but my space is rectangular and yours looks more square so yeah like 'Roller said, I'd probably go with shorties in the front and taller ladies in the back too.

Yeah that 6 and 17 have been head turners lately. I was thinking it seemed like only Penske Teams know what to do with the Fords to get 'em competitive but RFK has found something. Now if only the SHR Fords would follow that blueprint we might get a win!

Yeah all this lobster roll talk had me make a Costco run today. I get 2lb bags of these guys for $28 and use them for my rolls

IMG_5310.JPG

Langostino tastes a lot like Maine lobster but are the size of a prawn. Just about as perfect a lobster substitute out there so for things like rolls, lobster mac & cheese, they make a nice choice without the high price tag on the meal.
Gonna thaw some for some cold rolls tonight after work. No slaw but I do have some celery I'll chop up and add to it.
Only thing that sucks around here is the actual roll. I can only find regular hot dog buns split down the side. No split tops and I've been wanting to recreate Chicago dogs too but no poppy seed buns here either. Everything is brioche around here which isn't bad but dang, have some choices FFS!
Texas Toast makes for a nice roll or bun. I like to coat both sides with mayo and put it on the griddle it to toast it up

Texas toast(the frozen garlic bread) makes a killer grilled cheese.

Man Ive eaten lobster probably every way possible but will always choose a good Maine roll. Warm or cold dont care, just dont complicate it and I'm happy.
It's been so long since I've had that frozen kind but yeah it's so good!!!
IDK if Y'all get it around other parts of the country but down here there's two Texas Toasts...the frozen kind with cheese or garlic and the fresh baked loaf which is just like your average loaf of white bread but cut thick so each slice is about 2" thick.
We don't use it for sandwich bread but for things like a patty melt, single slice bun roll, and French toast it's usually the top choice in bread to use around here.

texas toast.jpg

I'd move the shorties to front for ease and to be able to watch them better.
Killer grow, lots of buds coming your way~!👊

thanks Steam!! yeah i felt if i didn't move them now i might not be able to later so i went for it. i was very surprised how strong they seemed while moving them around.

i opted for putting the shorties under one light and the tall two under the other. i started with the two shorts up front but realized i can reach right over it so i figured if i need to access the shorty in the back i still can. and i ended up gaining a couple inches on the headroom adjusting them around. and i got all three fans set up so i feel ready!!!

DSCN0910.JPG

kinda glad i moved them because i found that the pot risers i used were pooling up in the center cup so i drilled them out before i put em back in...

DSCN0909.JPG

they're drinking about a 1/2 a gallon a day and starting to want a little more than that so i'm gonna start with three quarts each tomorrow. and wow do they suck it up quick too, as fast as i can pour it from the turbo funnel!!! hehe

but yeah, plants are chillin and happy!!! hehe

wow thats not a bad price at all man, i'd pay that!!

i hear ya on the rolls man, they gotta be super soft and melt when you bite them.

man i'd freeze some of those, toss em in corn starch and air fry em, put em in a hot biscuit and cover it with light champagne gravy!!! who needs the fair when you got that!!!!!

man i gotta see if i can get some of those around here, they'd be awesome to have a stash in the freezer to add to stuff in a pinch.. like ya said mac n cheese!!!

ooooh the fried biscuit & wiz!!!!!!! ah yeah baby!!!!
.
.

you know RFK is cheating though right?!?! hahahaha the only thing they figured out is how to not get caught!!! jack roush is the king of cheating... they don't call him the ol cat in the hat for nothing!!! i remember when he had lead rolls that looked like duct tape. each one weighed 75lbs... they would have two or three rolls on the car rolling on the scales, nobody ever even knew it... he got away with that for years and years.. it came out when they started using a lazer to confirm bodys, he couldn't leave the duct tape on anymore so they admitted to it.. cat in hat, snake in that hat... all cheatin!!!! hehehehe

i like to slather a thick layer of buffalo chicken dip in the grill cheese.... i think its a disney recipe if i'm not mistaken. like grill cheese crack!!

ewww, i never had frozen toast... it's kinda ez to make so i think i'll stick to the fresh!!!

there's a steak shop on south st. in philly that makes texas toast from their rolls then they fill it with steak and onions topped with sauce n cheese of coarse!!! one of my favorite places!!!

Patty melt mmm. I miss Waffle House. And sweet tea being everywhere.

i never been to a waffle house... there is one in my town and everybody says it's one of the best ones there is but i personally never went. when i was a youngin we hung out at the perkins.

love me some good hardees sweet tea... half gallons at the drive thru!!!

Amen. 2 eggs scrambled, hash browns smothered covered, bacon and a side pecan waffle. Favorite breakfast on the planet.
View attachment 17059

now fresh eggs we got here anytime... can't remember the last time i had an egg that wasn't layed that day!!!!

but what is it smothered and covered in? gravy? jelly? ketchup?

200w.gif

Never been to a Waffle House? How's that even possible?
And man it's been decades since I heard of a Perkins hahaha!
So here's the deal..Waffle House #1, Denny's #2, Ihop and everybody else #3🙃
The funny thing about waffle house is I've never had a waffle there. Always hashbrowns, scrambles, or some type of patty melt or burger. All best enjoyed around 2-5am after a good night of partying.
And yeah there's a code to ordering topping for your hashbrowns....Scattered is the base. Smothered is grilled onions. Covered is with cheese. Chunked is ham. Diced is grilled tomatoes. Peppered is with jalapenos. Capped comes with mushrooms. Topped is with chili. And country is with sausage gravy.

And IDK if you've ever heard of it but there's a Waffle House Index used by many to gauge severity of a storm like a tornado or hurricane.
WH is open 24/7 365 so if one closes you know the storm is really bad. But if it's still open then you gauge severity by the menu. Green is full menu. Yellow is limited menu and red menu is kitchen is closed. WH also deploys specialized training and teams for fast reopenings after storms so if you wanna know how bad a weather disaster is, check in on what's happening at the local Waffle House 🤣

They fix your meal right in front of you with nowhere to hide anything and as a cook I'll always admire that, no matter the joint. I like the food and late night flying chairs too.

When I was driving through Ft. Stockton, Texas we stopped at K-Bobs steakhouse and had the best damn Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had.

ya know i too had the best chicken fried steak of my life in texas as well, can't remember the name of the place but i think it was somewhere close to houston... i wanna say pappa something.. there were to papa restaurants i went to there one was a seafood joint and the other a steakhouse i think... been almost 15 years since then.

nope, never... and it's less than ten minutes from my house too!!!! hahaha been to a denny;s a few times, went to one in japan quite a few times but there were no moons over my hami there!!! hahaha it's all about the perkins around here, hell we got two of em within a half hour!!!

now how can ya go to a place called waffle house and not try a waffle?!?!? cool beans talking about that pecan waffle sounded pretty good!!!

i have heard of that storm rating, i didn't know it was wh though.. we never get storms big enough to close places so i bet they never closed. i think they're even open on xmas!! but nah that WH just opened about 20 years ago, if it had been open when i was a youngin we would been throwing chairs with the best of them!!! haha

i went to a stucky's one time for breakfast.... never ever do that!!!!!

Right?! Ive lived in New York or Maine my entire life and even i have been to Waffle House, and i live under a rock!

I gotta deal with dennys or ihop up here tho, 😑

nope never... never been to an ihop either... don't think i would though, don't like pancakes and that place just creeps me out!! haha

i might try the waffle house one day since you guys are making out to be a bucket list place.

waffle house has open cooking? oh i might really go and try it now... i remember the H light was out for over a year so i called it the waffle oos!! hahaha

made a small project tonight.. put together a tea brewer. i used most of the plumbing from my old brewer so all i needed to buy was a four way tee ( i could have used two regular tees but ya know, YOLO!!) and i bought the rubber reducer to connect the bottle to the tee, and the bottle i found picking up litter a couple years ago, and the corrugated pipe i found dumpster diving a while back collecting pipe for my pond for fish caves. i couldn't get the caulking they used on it off so i never used it for the pond. so i think this whole thing cost me $9 out of pocket.

DSCN0915.JPG

this was the test run but i plan to put the air pump inside the pipe so the heat from it warms the tea up.

DSCN0916.JPG

I'm pretty happy with it and i think it turned out slicky ricky!! had to include the 3d printer somehow so i make a bunghole cork/silencer...

View attachment DSCN0919.MOV

holds about 3-4 gallons and seems to have great vortex action all the way down...

View attachment DSCN0920.MOV

i guess as long as the plants like it, but so far it seems like a winner!!!!!

a lady down the road brought us some shoo fly pie cake the other day... down to the last little piece!!!!!

DSCN0913.JPG

bet ya can't get that at the fuckin waffle house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha

Haha its where the one legged woman works!
If you ever pass a waffle house you have to stop. Doesnt matter the time of day either man.

Been to Denny’s and IHOP but don’t recall WH? Haven’t been back to either in decades.

But motorcycle trips for hot buffalo wings and craft beer, I remember them! 🤣

The best chicken fried steak will always be in Texas. Just a fact of science. Same goes for chili though New Mexico is on point too.
One of the best spots for CFS until around 2010 was a truck stop down the road. Now it's at roadside stops in rural towns on the way to someplace else. Little hidden gems in towns like Hunt and Elgin. Small towns nobody has heard of. City CFS is meh. I avoid it like I do city bbq. Gotta go out to the sticks for that good food.
The Pappas family does run some very good restaurants. Pappas Bros Steaks is one. There's a Pappadeux here which is Creole and Cajun and very good. I get that for my bday most years. It's expensive but man their gumbo and etouffee is some of the best I've had. I also get their fried softshell crab and make crab poboys with their baguettes. So good!!!

I'll never eat a an Ihop again. Did that 3x and every time was very bad. Last time there my wife ordered a salad and the waitress put it up under a heat lamp then ducked out back to hit a crack pipe. She came back in, argued with the boss who I aslo think was a crackhead, then just leaned up against a wall high AF. On our bill she wrote that we complained about the tea. We didn't and that was weird. That was the final straw for me and Ihop.
Denny's is ok. We have a retro Denny's made to look like something from the 1950s but it's usually packed with strung out junkies and they beg others to buy food for them. Just not an enjoyable experience for diner food and the other Denny's here is not much better.

Waffle House is just a roll of the dice. Food is always good and the cooks are trained very well but you never know what might happen or what sort of conversation you may overhear while you eat. It can be the dodgy walmart of diners for sure.

Man you got some great action in that brewer! True vortex man!!! And it looks all baddass too. Like Mad Max rebuilt R2D2 into a tea brewer!

Mmmn shoofly pie! Ya know I made a fan of those...Last year I ordered a two pack from an Amish bakery and gave one pie away to a single Mom neighbor who needed some help thru the holidays. Her and her kids loved that pie and never knew such a thing even existed!

Beats my worm castings and molasses in a bucket! 👍

thats how i've been doing it, the foam was killing me, the vortex isn't as bad... still had foam but not terrible, i have one idea that may contain it a little better but i need to print out an adapter, might have to wait till next tea making to try it out.. still work in progress..

Haha its where the one legged woman works!

is it just me or have wing joints gone downhill over the past ten years? maybe it's just me and my taste. wings got so expensive that it made me perfect my boneless wing recipe now i get real wings and i don't like them as much as the breast cuts now. i miss this killer place called junkanoos back in the day. i still strive to eat/make wings that good again, sadly don't think i ever will.

i with ya till ya said texas has the best chilli... man you gotta try it at south of the border between NC and SC!! thats good chili!!! not that ground beef with jalapenos you guys sell in texas!! :ROFLMAO: i'm kidding..

yeah pappadeux was the seafood place.. had killer softshells there!! i did once have thee best etouffe in TX.. somewhere near houston, this dude at TI suggested i got there, he said it was some chef at a famous place that got fed up and quit and then started his own place in a train car!! very cool ambiance and like i said the crawfish etouffe was so good i don't think i'll ever eat it again because i want that one to be my last it was that damn good!!!

i went looking for some lobster pieces at my local grocery store today... couldn't find any but ii scored a couple of these crab stuffed mushrooms... they only had two though, i would have bought six!!!

DSCN0921.JPG

so we'll be eating those tomorrow for sure!!!!! have to find something good to go with em... steak or pork maybe.. idk yet..

:D

I broke my internet over the weekend... we had a storm saturday night and my modem fried, thought the router was fine but when i got the new modem monday morning the router wouldn't work either. never heard of that happening but hey i have weird stuff happen all the time.. i got a mesh router this time. works good, i don't need my repeater in the garage now so that's a bonus.

picked these two up on auction last week, used bonus coupons for both!!

Looking real good~!

Thanks guys!!! they're exceeding all my expectations so happy on this end.

i have a list of changes i want to make after this round to make it better but i won't be going back to the turntable and cages anytime soon. sip, maybe... but honestly it's not tough at all this way, watering and feeding is pretty simple, not as ez as SIP.. i mean i'm lazy but not that lazy!!! haha

i have some new light clips coming tomorrow and i should be able to get another 3+ inches of headroom because i'm worried about a few branches being too close.. if i'm still worried after i put them in i might give those branches the ol kink a roo like the other two i supercropped.

i don't really like to do that this late in flowering but it's better than torching the buds useless.

🙃 :) 🙃

I freshened up the veg cabinet a little... took out the SIP manifold and decking then i put up some new mylar, hung a stripper fan pole, and picked up a $17 tray. I plan to veg eight plants and flower six. i like when you guys have that option going into flowering and i'd like that too...

DSCN0943.JPG

here is the lineup for the next round, i'm going to start two of each. in the event of the ARC being duds again i will sub in the dotz...

oreoz - gorilla glue 4 - banana punch - alien rock candy

DSCN0945.JPG

this will give me the chance to actually test the newest germinator with hinges and latches, i've tested the hinges hundreds of times now but the latches have no testing at all yet, and i also added numbers to the inside. i'm not sure anyone but me will actually use these..

DSCN0946.JPG

DSCN0947.JPG

i thought i could keep a legend or just list it here for reference.

i hope to mix up the soil and start the seeds this weekend but it's almost thursday already so no promises. hehe

i should be okay on the timing, i'll need to keep these in here for four to five weeks so i'm just not sure how the 275 will do at five weeks... should be good, but i have been peeking at ebay for a used 275 to double up... we'll see... i just know if i continue to grow in rounds like this i'll probably tighten up the schedule which means growing them bigger in the veg cab. i've vegged with it before so i think i'll be fine. i'm gonna find out thats for sure!!! hehehe

Numbers are good. I’d write down which spot my seeds are in for each strain in my journal. Cleaner look than tape. So a useful if not necessary improvement IMO. 👍
