For what, weekly billiards or the next visit in a few weeks? 🤣

it was for your league match... but now i'm thinking of doubling down and saying good luck for both!!!!!!!!! haha

my doctor told me to take mine at random times during the day, i forget a lot. moat times i check it once a day.. just did it now because we're talking about it.. 99/63.. first time it was under 100. normally in the 120 range.. i'm pretty calm and chill right now though so i don't always get the chance to take it when i'm relaxed like this. i could go for nap... hmmm.. i got stuff to do..

For the first week I wanted to get baselines. The graphs show each day by average but some days have 8 readings. After this weekend I’ll be once a day unless she requests more.

Morning after I get up. Then again an hour after my pills.

Once before lunch and then an hour after.

After dinner sometimes but if I go for a walk with the dog I’ll do a before and after. I smoke on the way home.

My only perfect readings are after I smoke and walk home. 🤣

I don’t hide anything from the DR. No point. So I’ve added notes to the history. Irregular heartbeat keeps popping up though.

IMG_2653.jpegIMG_2654.jpeg

Your much lower than me. I’m always on the high side but it says normal most of the time other than the heart irregularly.

Plants look great man~!
I started playing 'pool' again recently.

It’s about day 64 for the big one and day 40 for the short one. The cold nights brought the color change pretty fast. That one cola is a thick one.IMG_2907.jpeg

Sons GG#4 & SB#22 were chopped about 8 days ago. Taking off the yo-yos wasn’t working well so we chopped them and then removed the hooks while holding the plant up.

Garden was taken down two weeks ago and put away. Last harvest with most of the tomatoes still green.IMG_2806.jpeg

Looks like I’ll have one or two posts left before the GB#4 is done.

I always wanted to putt with a pool cue. I was a lot better at pool than putting, if I could lay down on the green and use a pool cue I'd have sunk a lot more putts. Standing and using a pendulum is more awkward than my eye down the cue.....unfortunately rules is rules and there aint no laying on a green and using the shaft of your putter to shoot with in the rules of golf.....You got nice form though feet square, head over ball, I think your backstroke may clip the cushion

I was thinking the same thing. Wasn’t there movies or tv shows where the comedian does just that, uses the putter like a cue?

My problem now would be getting up/down off the ground. 🤣

Good. We made it through without incident. Turkey, ham, three types of pie. Only eight of us this year.

i got a bunch of greenies on the window sill right now!!
Most of ours are at least orange now. Still having tomatoes with almost every meal. No more fresh cucumbers though, kind of strange not picking some each day.

Watermelons never got big enough to use. I took the seeds from the largest and the rest is still being fed to the worms.

Pickles turned out good this time. Two tsp of salt seems to work best for us. Need to cut them a bit thicker next time.

How are you for seeds next year?

Chopped the big one yesterday. And removed the big leaves and any brown ones in the buds. It’s almost as long as my leg. 😳

IMG_3005.jpeg

The little ones filling out now.
IMG_3007.jpeg

Son got his trimmed up yesterday. Hasn’t been weighed yet but one large container each with a mason jar more from the Sherbanger #22.
IMG_3010.jpeg

Just one plant to go before this one’s closed. 👊

Your buds look great, nice colour and the bud looks tight. I've had no luck with the large buds, every time I get one going big like that they turn out wispy and dry out too fast.. Were they Auto's?

I took me a full week to get my girls cut trimmed and hanging. I had a massive amount of undergrowth and lowers but my side lights hardened them up nicely. I took a bunch of the tops off first and loaded my Vcure the rest went into my drying box. It would have taken me months to use Vcure only. Its a nice unit just too small. 3/4 of my harvest is in my box.

The bottom ones are a bit fluffy but the rest are firm. I’m quite happy with this one even though it was only one cola. Yes, it’s an auto flower gifted by @OLDCRO 😁

Did you leave the lowers a little longer or just chop them all?

I liked the idea of the Vcure but after watching how you and others are doing with it I felt it was not for me. I only do the four plants at once but it seemed like I’d still be hanging some in the shower regardless do to the size of the Vcure. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d still get one. 🤷‍♂️

If I ever get out your way I hope to sample some of your top shelf. 🤣👊

Still waiting on the big plant to dry and the little one to finish. In the meantime I checked in on my worms.

IMG_3040.jpeg

The brown/tan castings collector I printed had a bunch of soil left in it from the last castings harvest I did. Turns out worm eggs I missed hatched and a few worms were neglected and almost mummified. I felt bad so fixed it up and started feeding them.

Now both worm farms are full and I need to harvest more castings but have nowhere to put it. So it was time to make another farm and another bin for the old round one.

We only had green petg left so I’m starting with that. I’ll print two more black square bins and one round bin when the black petg arrives.

The new farm is bigger than the round one.

This one has a better layout and a proper drain plug.

Yes, I cut all the tops and let everything underneath go another week as I trimmed up plants every day for man hour or 2. We are heating upstairs with electric because oil is so expensive. Google says break even point for electric over oil is at $1.50/ liter oil. we're around $2.17 so we are just using a small electric fireplace for heat through the day and oil at night so the basement here now is 59f humidity about the same, Perfect drying temps and RH in my drying box. Its much easier to load my dry box than it is the Vcure and about $1300 cheaper.

I have a whack of weed to press now, My son will be coming over this weekend and we'll press a bunch up for rosin.
Its our 40th anniversary next week so we're going up to Moncton for the night. The casino up there sent us a room for $69 and free 70 in free play on a advertising voucher with my wife's players card and $ 20 on mine that covers the room and some of the gas up there, about a 3hr drive.

Nice. I e done it once or twice when I didn’t need the tent for another grow right away.

I’m getting the idea that the Vcure is a nice tool but not for anyone growing seriously.

Would you say it’s doing the job better than the dry box?

Knowing what you know now would you buy the Vcure again?

Nice. A press is something I’d like one day. We don’t do dabs/butter/whatever very often because of the price. I also worry it would raise our tolerance even high than it is now. You sir are an excellent test subject.

Congratulations! We’re only at 35 years. That sounds like a nice getaway. I usually just give my wife money so she can go visit my daughters family for two weeks in the summer. Come to think of it money is all she wants as gifts these days. 🤣

I hope you have a great time and win big. 🤞💵

New roll of petg arrived yesterday so I was able to make the third bin for the round worm farm.
IMG_3060.jpeg

Dumping the bottom brown drain pan and black bin I was able to get quite a bit of worm castings this go. I need to let it sit and dry a bit before I search for stranded worms and eggs.IMG_3062.jpeg

The new worm farm is doing well and the second bin is printing. A third will follow. It’s quite a bit bigger than the round one without taking up much more space. Using the round lid as a comparison.IMG_3061.jpeg

The hanging Gorilla Blue #4 has a few more days to go as does the smaller one still flowering.

Until next time. 👊
And happy Halloween. 🎃👻💀

The Vcure is a nice unit but my dry box is easier to use and I'm not finding any difference in taste or feel to the buds. I think I should have saved the money I spent on it. Same as the press I pressed 12 grams of bud last night into 1.1 grams of rosin.....not a very good return.

I like your worm bin but as pets they don't show much affection. Have you put any marks on them to identify individual worms, pet names?...lol

Moncton has been good to us over the years, we;ve had some nice wins up there. Came back 2 grand up 1 time, most times we just blow our budget. We have only been there once since covid and we lost all of our perks. They used to send free room vouchers and $50-60 bucks free play + free meals on our Birthdays. We'd go up for a steak diner, free room and $50 free play each, we'd spend maybe $300 - $500 gambling once twice, three times a year

Day 56 of flower.

Taller one is on drying day 11. Branches aren’t quite ready to snap yet. Temperature has been okay but we have been holding around 55%RH.

The berry aroma is coming back stronger now. Berry and earthy. I think a few days to a week more for drying and maybe two weeks before we can scope the little one.

Until then…👊

The Vcure doesn’t surprise me, but I had hope.

I am surprised the press isn’t working out as well. It was on my list of things to try one day. Is the pressed material still any good for smoking or is it garbage after?

Most if not all the original worms have died. I was right in that they only grow as big as the environment can support. So now all the new worms are much smaller.

I do not name them. I did find out that soil I separated and left to finish later had worms in it. It was months later and the poor things were living mummies. So I felt bad and turned the soil catcher into a bin until I printed this newer second set of bins. Now I have two worm farms and my screening soil catcher back.

I basically look after them every week or two.

That’s cool. I’m not big on gambling. We have a few friends that were and they’d give us the complimentary show tickets once in a while. Unfortunately they’ve passed over the last 5 years.

I’ll go with a group of friends but it’s more for the night out. Gambling is limited and once I’m out I’m out. If I win the original funds go into my wallet and I play with the winning until I’m out or it’s time to leave.

So how was your trip, good time had by all I hope. You come home to all the weed pressed by your son for you? 🤣

i saved plenty of the cucumber seeds and cherry tomato.. i really messed up the beefsteaks and only have a few seeds so i'll just make those count next year and not waste a single one and i should be just fine. really tasty tomatoes though man!!!! some of my greenies are still ripening and we're still getting fresh garden tomatoes in the beginning of november!

.

your harvests look great man!!!! they looked like an east trim too!!!!

hows the pool league going? you guys still having fun with that?

Morning Stoney.

Nice. It was like a switch going off here in September. New growth halted and old growth just slowed right down and the tomatoes just stopped ripening. So we just packed things up and cut them down.

Still have a couple jars of pickles.

your harvests look great man!!!! they looked like an east trim too!!!!
They look puffy but are solid thank goodness. The one drying is almost done.

As soon as a leaf is all yellow I’ve been plucking them off. I don’t want to tempt rot/mold with all the humidity we’ve had this year. Still in the 50’s-60’s RH in the basement. And these flower clusters are stacked and tight.

hows the pool league going? you guys still having fun with that?
Mixed bag actually. Poorly managed. People don’t show up so who’s ever there has to play and pay more to cover costs. But it also means more games against people who are 3+ levels above you. What’s the point if I’m just racking balls for a guy to run table 3 times in a row while I watch and pay for it?

We won’t be continuing with this league once the seasons over in January but we’ll keep playing, maybe look for another group. 🤷‍♂️
