Which Ton Rosin Press?

So I dug out my old press out of storage and Nesta, if you want it, it's yours. If Nesta don't want it, it's up for grabs to anybody.
Shipping will be about $25 for the large priority box and you can donate that cost back to Moe for the site funds but other than that, this one is free.
It powered up but it's dirty and needs a good cleaning which I can do.
Looks like the drive bolt might have seized but should release kinda ez if I put a wrench on it. This is it's second drive bolt. They're ez to break the head off so I have a stopper nut on it to prevent that but that stopper also limits the pressure.

Really there's two options here...Use it as a Twister as designed, or take it apart and mount the plates in a hydraulic H frame. I would opt for the latter.
The plates are 2"x4" stainless steel.
I also have a matching prepress to fit it I'll throw in.
Since I got my Nugsmasher this thing has just been collecting dust for the past couple years. It has some mileage on it but looks to still have lots of life at least in the plates and electronics. Bought it new in 2015 and shortly after the model was discontinued. I retired it in 2020

Gotta watch the word choice. If I tell somebody on a weed forum to send me a PM, I might get powdery mildew. ;) And I've had enough issues with my grows lately so I don't need that one🥴

Basically the bag puts a tight limit on how far the puck can spread out. So by keeping the puck footprint tiny, you get more tonnage in a smaller spot and get more juice out of the puck with the first squish.
And that's where the blowout factor can ruin it because if it blows, then the material can spread out beyond the bag and into the rosin. The tiny footprint can also blow the paper and get rosin all over the plates and that's where the thicker brands like Katbrite help in those regards

That's the one luxury it's missing.

oh i fully agree with ya man!! i was just clownin with the 15 tons. that is too much for that style. i haven't had much practice with the bags, you sent me those strong ones and i just started trying out the cylinder style like you do and that's when i broke my jack. so now i get to learn all over again.

i really don't want the blowouts just fun to be able to put that much pressure on it!!!! i actually finding i have better results keeping the pouch flat and rectangle. i put a little pressure for a couple minutes to build up heat in the bag and get it soft then i lay it on heavy. went to 19 tons on this one and no blowouts. she gushed out the back door...

i'm not sure of the brand paper i use, i cut them in thirds with a paper cutter and always have a sheet ready to go!! i remember when we had bleed through and tearing problems with the thinner stuff. i bought this brand now twice and never had an issue..

i had the exact same press as yours... i destroyed that thing after a couple years. i was putting a three foot pipe on the end to get more leverage and ended up blowing out the top. i welded it a couple times but it ended up being dangerous over time. so i upgraded to HF's oil filter crusher and put my heat plates on that. then i messed up the jack trying to put a gauge on it and recently bought a new jack with the gauge already on.

i started by using a hair straightener and clamps, i fell in love with it then an there's no way i'm not having a press in my home!!!! hahaha

i never used liquor at all. mostly i just slice it up with scissors and eat it. goes down pretty easy with yogurt in the morning! sometime i take the time to grind it up in powder and put it in capsules.. easier to does that way.

i've also soaked the powder in a glycol/glycerin combo then squeezed it out and added that to any liquid. that's the best, kicks in quick and ez to drink. takes the longest to make though!!

It did me too. I hadn't squished anything for about 4 months and it appears the seal has started a leak. This flower is 11 months since harvest, aka dark.
Fresh flowers about a month in cure press the lightest colour and yield the best imo

Pressing at 2900 psi? I’m usually down around 1800. Yep, you got a bad leak on that bottle. I’d contact Dabpress about that.

My Nugsmasher XP arrived and I’m super pumped to squish some flower this weekend! I got another new toy and I didnt wait for the weekend to use this one. Its the Puffco Peak Pro. So far, its worth every penny.

Tonight I’m puffing some Lollipop Budder from Bedford Grow. Can’t wait to smoke my own!

I thought I read you had one of those! I punched in puffco up in the search engine and this post came up.

So much for the trade in rebate I got from Nugsmasher today. Ez come ez go 🫠

There's a few sales going on around the web but I think the 25% off code at Pulsar's online head shop is the best around from what I can tell. Everybody is selling the Pro at $420 but some might include a few freebie xtras like travel kits and stuff like that but that shop has an actual cash value discount.
I decided to spurge a little as well and get a recycler glass for it to give it a heady option
Looking forward to disco light show dabs with this thing.😋

i'm kinda surprised you don't already have one to be honest. i'll be very interested to hear what you have to say comparing it to your ROK. if something ever happens to mine i will buy another in a heartbeat i like it that much.

i was looking for another atomizer on sale and puffco's sale is a bullshit sale with fake added costs so i bailed... i have to check out Pulsar.

whatever you do please don't ever buy from cream city vapes. those assholes actually ripped me off and stole my money!

Wow, and i had a hard time pulling the trigger on the erig i bought at 180..... fuck that noise at 500 dollars....
Guess if i didnt buy the 180 dollar one id be using a torch or not dabbing at all lol.

I won my peak from a dispensary drawing a few years ago. I don't think I would've bought one then. After using mine, though, they're pretty damn cool.

Mine was last used for DMT, so I've been afraid to use it since 🤣. I gotta quit smoking cigars before going back to that realm or that dobby looking mutherfucker will be pissed.

The purple one "didnt work" and they sent me the black one. When it was really just the atomizer that didnt work so i ended up with 2 for the price of 1 lol.

I probably should've got it a long time ago over the ROK but the ROK was like half the price and I liked how it was more like what I was already used to using with small bubbler bongs.
I used the ROK last night and quickly remembered why I've had wanderlust with erigs & pens. It's good but not great.
I hate the early shut down on it. Seems like it shuts down mid bowl every time and the heat control is all or nothing so it burns fast and too hot wasting much of the bowl.
Those issues are probably why it hasn't advanced into newer models, only special edition colors, and the price for it is under $200 now.

The heat control, 3d chamber and lights sold me on the Pro. Plus the glass had me swooning.
And the more I look into the app the more I'm liking it. I can already see myself doing dabs with the light show vape and light show on the diecast garage.😋
Considered the regular Peak for only $250 or the Proxy with attachments for using with my other bongs but that 3D chamber and other features just made me go all in on the huge upgrade. YOLO!!

This is a sweet rig though. Just mine will be white and the new version pro

Nice! I was looking at the Dragon Egg from Lookah today but opted to spend way more than I wanted on the Peak.🤪
I'll probably be replacing my Pulsar Barb Fire with the Lookah Python in the very near future. I wanna get away from coil buckets. Too dang messy.

Dude I was all over the place looking at new rigs! Some as low as $60 and a few well above $300. If not for the coupon code I woulda gone for the less expensive Peak and no xtra glass.
I was just about to head out the door and go buy a Peak Pro at a local head shop for $420 then remembered Pulsar sells other stuff besides just Pulsar rigs and my coupon program will dig up the best deal so I still ended up spending $420 but got an extra heady glass recycler for it rather than a lame silicone travel part or something funky like that.

I got yelled at this afternoon cause i bought a 25 dollar pack of headlights for our car without talking to her first 😔😑
