The environment is now in the hands of nature. Although I have a heater in the lung room to keep the temp above 60 degrees, it doesn’t drop down that far over night any longer.

I also shut off the humidifier, letting the plant maintain it’s own environent.

During the daylight hours, the top of the tent (above the plant) is 3 to 4 degrees warmer and 8% dryer than right in the middle of the plant.

I put wireless temp pickups at the top of the tent and and attached to the main stem right at the first branching. Literally in the middle of the plant. It’s amazing how it maintains a cooler temp just by moving water through the leaves.

My daylight temps are maintaining mid 70s for temp and mid 50s for RH in the middle of the Plant.

I believe that the stretch has stopped, about 8 to 10 inches below the main light.

I am pleased with the progress thus far, I have a week of brutal heat coming, then back to coolish temperatures.

Even though it’s indoors, it’s growing without the benefit of AC, this coming week will certainly help with the dry cycle.

Been a long week away from the grow, she’s looking thirsty but really good.

She received a top dressing of flower girl, humic acid, langbenite and rock phosphate.

She’s just a few inches below the lights, nearly filling the tent from side to side, top to bottom.

Begins week 5 today.

A couple hours after a drink and a a bite to eat, she’s perky and very happy.

We have a cooldown coming and the stretch is complete so I’m hoping she won’t get quite so parched in the future.

water day, I woke up around 4:30 am, lights on was at 4:00.
Still extremely perky, but soil as dry as a bone, in every section of the soil. I used 12” skewers and couldn’t find anything moist.
It’s been that dry since yesterday afternoon. I was waiting to see if it would droop.
It’s perky and getting big.

I gave her a direct shot of humic acid, molasses and great white.

She gets straight aerated water at 8 and again at 9.

We are winding up week five (tomorrow, but close enough for an update).

The added red/far red lights are on the fifth full day, the plant doesn’t seem to object to the additional photons.

Two weeks past the stretch, I removed the Thursday irrigation, so far she’s still perky and appears to be gaining weight daily.

Fingers crossed that the rest of the grow and the dry/cure all go as smoothly as it has been going.

Gotta say, organic growing with only top dressing is a very easy method, so long as everything remains on target. This is the first grow I’ve felt comfortable in the performance well into flower.

Every finger crossed ( makes it difficult to get anything done )

Tomorrow is irrigation day, I’m strongly considering adding a gallon of water with Potassium Sulfide powder mixed in at 1/4 tsp/gal.

I feel like the trichomes and aroma aren’t keeping up with the bulk of the plant.

The last four or five pictures are 15 minutes after irrigation. Already getting perky.

End of week six today. Aroma isn’t overwhelming, not really strong but it’s pleasant. I’m also not seeing much trichome coverage.

After irrigation, I Added the last top dressing of bloom nutes until harvest. I watered the new nutrients in with a gallon of water with humic acid, molasses, great white and potassium sulfate (1/2 tsp).

She’s looking great, I’m hoping she bulks up a bunch now. Don’t we all?

Mid week seven, supposed to be an eight to ten week plant which I guess actually means ten to twelve weeks

Anyway, I have found a yellow leaf down near the bottom of the plant. A yellow one shows up about every two or three days.

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m letting her get weepy dry before watering or if it’s normal late flowering progress.

The yellow doesn’t show brown spots, just uniformly yellow with the lightest of green on the veins.

Rest of the plant is green, but a lighter shade of green than earlier weeks.

Am I hitting an organic roadblock or just normal aging for the girl?

Why did you bump it from 1/4tsp to 1/2tsp? (Potassium)

I feel like the trichomes and aroma aren’t keeping up with the bulk of the plant.

I don’t think this step did anything positive, won’t do it again. I’m wondering if it’s why it’s now burning through the occasional yellow leaf near the bottom. It’s a few, not just one.

Probably pushed too much K, not sure why it’s affecting green lower leaves unless this is just the latter stage of the plant naturally?

I have very few complaints with this grow.
I’m feeling very good about organic soil and nutrients, but it really seems like sourdough bread, the soil keeps getting better year after year if you work at keeping the microbes alive.

I fully understand, it’s not fall or winter anymore but the best goes on!

Bruce Banner, finished week 8 (projected to go 8 to 10).

Not ready yet. Trichomes still clear, most stigmas are red, but there are still a few white ones coming through.

She’s always limp just before watering time. She also perks up rapidly with water. Took about 30 minutes to go from limp and lifeless to perky.

At least one and probably two more weeks, but I doubt she goes much beyond that.

Bruce banner is getting bronze, and a little tired looking.

Imma try pushing her until early may, but she’s looking tired now.

Trichomes are still clear and I’m hoping for a knockout indica, so lighting is low, temps are low, airflow is high but not directly onto her.

She’s not particularly sugary, nor overly smelly, she is slightly sweet, very pleasant but not overpowering.

In years passed, I used something called cactus juice (1-7-6), but I recently found a dry nutrient from Down To Earth that just dig into the top soil and water through.

Top watering some cactus is problematic, but seems to work well for most.
If I had some peyote, I’d not top water it, but all my stuff deals with it pretty well

Setting the pot into a tub of water, water wicks up from the bottom.
Takes a lot of time and can get heavy, I don’t do it much for those reasons, but it is better for the plants.

What is the alternative to top watering?

To me alternative is bottom watering.
I use large enough trays that I can pour water in the tray and let it get sucked up.
I often do both when watering from the top slowly.
I try not to get run off with soil as it is just washing nutes away.
If I water from top too fast it will go to the tray but often within 10 minutes it has been absorbed. That is where I got the bottom watering idea from. When I don't see a little come out I feel like the pot is not as wet as it could be.

Awesome job @TomH getting close to the finish line! And yeah agree with you guys on the bottom watering. I used to have a real good feel for how much water to give a plant top watering, and then I would always fill up the tray with about half an inch of water. It was usually soaked right up when I checked on them 30 mins later.

Bruce banner crosses nine weeks tomorrow, she’s tired, the color is (I believe) a result of the red/far red lights that I used 12:12 from week 4 until the end of week 8.

When I turned off the red, I saw every exposed leaf surface was bronze/yellow.

I don’t know if I let her run out of magnesium or just end of life coloring.

Buds are solid, smell sweet and pleasant but not a white or red trichome to be found.

I’ve removed the red/far red and reduced main light to 50%.

Illumination changed to 11:13 (light:dark). I’m hoping more dark will speed up the ripening process.

Plan is to harvest on May 1. Let’s see if she agrees at that time.

if you can safely lift your san pedro when it’s fully hydrated, that would be a good one to bottom water.
San Pedro is magically special

This one was weird, the entire grow, I could barely smell the plant.
Just seemed like no aroma, or not much.

As soon as I chop and hang the plant it smells strongly, very sweet.
It’s like it just exhaled!
