3D printers and the things growers and stoners can make with them

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) –Bill A2228 has been sponsored in the Assembly and if passed, will require anyone buying a 3D printer to pass a background check. If you can’t legally own a firearm, you won’t be able to buy one of these printers.

Go figure in NY~!
Man.. Luigi really shaking things up over there, eh?

Not enough IMO.
NYers and much of the US really seem to have a very short attention span.
I was taught something about repeat it 3 times in row to be remembered.🤷‍♂️
Welcome to the 24 hour news cycle. We're all so jaded from the nonstop knee-jerking.

I won't forget that dude. He made a statement that we can all understand. Left or right on the political spectrum. That's what has our elites so worried. He nearly shifted the focus onto a class war rather than the culture war they've been pushing for so long.

It's not me vs you.. it's us vs them ✊

When 24-hour news happened, it changed from 'news' to 'story telling'.
Opinion and conjecture put out so plane to see people have chosen the network that plays the news they like and believe~!

I believe it is us against them.
We are lacking humanity in a big way.

It's "entertainment" and nobody even has to put out a disclaimer when they're "opinions" (propaganda) are proven to be false. So we just have people funneling in the news and then arguing with friends and family with false information.

We're cooked bros. Charred at this point.

I find it best to read the news but don't watch it.
Watching it seems to be an IV drip of an indoctrination. If you're not brainwashed by it, it's ez to see.
When I was laid up in the hospital I couldn't believe what both Fox "News" and MSNBC were feeding their viewers and I finally understood where the seeds of division had been sowed. CNN was like the aloof cat but hungry, asking for scraps from both sides.
Social media, especially facebook, is no different, perhaps even worse, and would be banned like tiktok if I had my way. Pick any subject and there's nothing worse than a facebook expert on that subject.

I've given up that there will never be another Walter Cronkite or even a Dan Rather for that matter. Hell I'd settle for a Ron Burgundy if it would mean people could see each other as human beings and not an enemy deserving of annihilation.

Absolutely @Bandit420. I'm so turned off from all the opinion pieces. That's all we're really fed. Just give me the facts and let me form my own opinion, please. But noooo... There's always some sort of boogeyman or scapegoat that they want me to hate and blame for all that's wrong.

Now we have alternative facts backed by YouTube or Facebook sources. Like... people are so easily led astray by social media that they'd rather believe their favorite blogger or podcaster than the professionals that have dedicated their lives to the science. Peer reviewed studies are cast aside because "who are the peers?" ...Other scientists you dumbass. We're all so easily driven into a frensy by the constant rage-bait. It's like we'd rather be bitter and unhappy than to focus on and live in the present.

Nothing is as black and white as they'd like us to believe. This is why my favorite color is gray...

Speaking of 3D Printers.

My sons has been acting up the last two or three days. (He’s been printing pretty much non stop since he got it.)

A few times the filament has jumped the spool. But now it’s no longer feeding. He thinks the extruder nozzle latch might be broken. The nozzle gets loose.

He’s almost at the point he’ll let me have a look. Not quite. But he’ll take suggestions if anyone has one.

It went from running fine to spaghetti everywhere and it’s no longer feeding in one print session.

I usually start with changing a nozzle and work back to the extruder if a problem persists.
It's pretty ez to break mine down now that I've had to do it once or 15,000 times. Sometimes it might be the Bowden tube but takign it apart and changing out those easily replaceable parts fixes mine.
I'm using an Ender3 Max Neo as well and admit it's pretty dumbed down and basic compared to other higher end printers and those parts that wear out fast are cheap enough to buy several spares.

He’s past that.

We don’t know what a Bowden tube is atm. I’ll get back to you. 😂

I don’t think his is considered high end but it is pretty user friendly until now. He’ll be buying things that are needed and spares. He just doesn’t know what that entails yet.

I’ve been told he doesn’t want to discuss it for the remainder of the day. 🙄

^^^Only viable response.

That also means you gotta disclose your drug use on the federal form.

Good news for the 3D printer manufacturers. This will work the same as when people fear they can’t get a gun in the future. Humans stock up.
awh shit

here we go again

STONKS GO UP (?)

Stonks go up too? 😉

stocks man, stocks!!! stocks n bonds!!! now ya gotta include crypto in that saying.. i got stocks and bonds, no crypto yet though.

.

did your son get his printer going again? something you posted really raised a red flag to me, you mentioned even after changing the nozzle it felt loose. i would start there!! the hot end, nozzle, and a boden tube (if he even has one) all must be tight to each other with no gaps. if there is a gap filament doesn't flow properly.

Just poking some fun with Observer. 👉🤣

Not yet. He took the day off and went over to the brothers with his new bong. He made a point of mentioning I wasn’t to screw with it while he was gone.

He’s off today so I think he wants me to look it over with him. Still don’t know if it has a Biden tube.

Wish us luck. 🍀

Reddit can be a good source of info. There's an entire 3D print community then subforums on particular brands of printers. I've found a handful of useful tips for my prints there.

The Bowden tube will be a teflon plastic tube that runs from the extruder to the hot end and the filament feeds thru it. Like Stoney said it has to be flush mount to the extruder and the nozzle with no gaps otherwise all hell breaks loose with the filament feed
