Mornin Yiz Menz!
We Iz ice storming round here this morning. Bad as I dislike the stuff, it sure is beautiful. A lot of power outages, so far I’m still up and running. Good day to find some soft fuzzy jamas, pour a cup of hot cawfee and snuggle up with a good book!
 
Got this stuff yesterday but think it is not the right stuff?

It says it has ferts in it [which I was alright with] but when searching on net it say it has moisture holding gel. ;hw;hw;hw
On my way back to a 4th place to see if I can find the right stuff in the middle of winter.;fu

I use this one and add perlite because HP is 100+ dollars in NY. Screenshot_20250105_110912_Chrome.jpg
 
Yea I do the BX every other time before.
It just did not seem clearly labeled to me and I wanted less than the 3.8 cube.
I am sure this stuff holds way more water than I want. Now my wife has 2 bags of FFOC, 3/4 of a bag FF Happy frog, and the 2 cube of premier prom mix for outdoors this year coming up already~!
I just got back with 2 frozen solid COM Stonington cause Hewitts only had big cube of BX.
Got the premier from Agway. Lowes had something called Sunshine and the Thrips came from the Organic supply store so the process was rough.
Amazon next time for sure.

I swear by Ace Hardware. They don't carry it in stock but you can order it to the store at no extra charge and then pick it up 2 or 3 days later when it arrives.
That's how I've been doing it cause promix is hard to find locally and if you do it's more expensive.
 
That soil would be good outdoor, I use to use water crystals when growing in woods and knowing I couldn't water regularly worked out well
 
Apparently my Father in Law got me some Solfire stuff from their most recent drop through a friend. Will be my first run if solfire, no idea what he got either i just know it's their most recent drop

Ive wanted to try them...looks like the stuff comes out fire...some hype strains but looks like good stuff the majority of it

I think one of them is Strawmatta (FX3 x Last Supper)
I've had FX3 and it's fire, so good I've been after it a while, just won't pay 150 a pack of 3 fems like everyone wants on discord.

Those are solfire prices. They just have a few "last chance" packs at 175.

I still use Sunshine Mix #4. Almost gone and then it’s on to the ProMix HP I got on sale. Sunshines harder to find around here now unfortunately.

My plants have been everywhere tonight. Power off, have seedlings boxed up moving them from one warm place to another. Gen is on but dropping things as we go, it’s propane powered. Ran thru half a 100 lb tank in three hours. So, conserving as much gas as we can..it’s expensive!

All the trees are ice covered and beautiful. Sounds like a war in the woods. Trees dropping limbs from the weight of the ice, literally sounds like gun shots. We stayed warm, we have gas fireplaces that we use at a time like this. Power came back on at 5 am this morning, so far holding steady. Had to bring the cats in the house. They fit fought and romped all night. They are used to a heated She Shed.
Found out the gen will carry the entire house, but man it plows through the propane! So in essence it’s only good to turn it on, flush toilets, pull up water and recharge everything. Which sometimes is worth its weight in gold!

You sure you are not leaking propane. I have a 26kw generator that burns less then 4g per hour at full load.
