CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

-10*c out but feels like -16*c. Guess that’s another way of saying wind chill?

Yesterday’s snow is gone again, everything is green or bare. Doesn’t have that dirty or garbage build up the streets usually get after weeks of ploughing snow onto the shoulders.

February is the worst month for me. Deepest coldest part of winter.

You sure you are not leaking propane. I have a 26kw generator that burns less then 4g per hour at full load.
Yup, no leaks. Easy to figure a 100lb bottle has 23 gallons of gas. This one burned through half a bottle in 3 hours. So, same as you, about four gallon per hour. I don’t know what you are paying for propane there, but here it’s 2.87 a gallon. Thats 8.67 per three hours, for a total of 69.36 per 24 hours. Three days is 208.08.. my entire electric bill is around 230.00 per month.
Yup, I’m a tightwad..for three hundred dollars I can amuse myself and just turn it on to run some water, flush a toilet and grab a shower.

Just got back from the southeast. Went to pick up our F150 and decided to haul a trailer of furniture and stuff that we wanted from the house. Got as far as West Texas when the CEL light came on. Took the truck to a couple mechanics and got diagnoses from "you need to replace your engine" to "it's just a timing issue". Didn't want to drive the truck long distance with a CEL so I had to rent a 15ft box truck to tow an auto transporter. Loaded the truck on the transporter, transferred all the stuff in the 5 x 8 to the 15 footer and hauled it back to Cali from West Texas.

Back in Cali, I left the truck with a trusted mechanic and he's telling me he thinks the injector on cylinder 4 is plugged. The scan showed cylinder 4 misfire. The timing issue mechanic thought it might be cam phasers since the cylinder was showing no compression but I told him if it was the cam phasers it would be the whole bank the cam services rather than just one cylinder. Engine is a 6 cylinder Eco Boost so it has direct injection meaning there's a bunch of shit in front of it that needs to be disassembled before he can get to the injector and replace it. He agreed that it was probably some bad gas that had sediment and must've clogged #4 injector. He also agreed that after we replace the injector to run some Lucas injector cleaner in case any of the other injectors got some buildup.

What a crazy ordeal! Just glad I made it back. Getting the 5 x 5 ready for another run........
