CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

That's what I'm talking about, nothing but me, the wife, the dog, and my plants. I've got enough wood to fire the pizza oven, enough gas for the griddle, and plenty of charcoal for the grill. Plus enough gas to run the generator for a week ;roc
Yeah I actually appreciate these days. I have a gen too, it runs on propane. I’m just a tight wad lol. I have back up gas fire places in case I loose the pellet stove and oil lamps so I can read. I think most of this is snow though, so not likely to loose power. I’m kind of spoiled to StarLink and dish!

I just heard about starlink cellular! Cell Service anywhere you can see the sky just about, crazy. A lot smaller than the OG sat phones of the early 2000s

Morning all, just barely as it’s 11:30am.

Luckily my wife and son were home for our holiday long weekend. Made shovelling all the snow easier. Took turns and didn’t overdo things. I tried to do the entire driveway on my own the first night and got dizzy. Wasn’t an issue just two years ago. Seems there is a difference between being in your 50’s or 60’s doing this.

My own fault. I didn’t believe the weather report this time as they have been wrong so often. So the snowblower is trapped in the corner of the garage atm. Sat for three years now. Should have tested and tuned it up in December like I planned. 🤦

@CannaGranny

Hi PAL, haven’t been on much lately do I keep missing you. Just trying to make it to March so I can shake off this glum humdrum feeling.

I think my ancestors used to be hibernators. 🤔

Every chore and job seems that much harder and slower this time of year.

Valentine’s we had the roof leak in my sons room. A few days later it’s also happening down the chimney again. Called the roofer but not much he’ll be able to do any time soon. We’ll see if he gets back to us when my wife returns to work.

A lot of things weighing me down right now. Mostly the city BS. Still trying to get our money back from them. The right way.

Glad to see you’re doing okay. I never got into hand loading. My uncle passed before he got me to help him with it. He had a green single stage press. I was supposed to get it all after he died but I had a lot of uncles back then and they took everything they could get their hands on. Even had to force an executor change and get stuff returned. Sad how family turn on each other later in life.

Here’s wishing better times and a better state of mind for ya.
I think a lot of you Northern folks deal with this simply through light deprivation and lack of vitamin D. I have daylite bright light bulbs all through my house, when the gray outside won’t go away the lights come on!
Sorry to hear that you are still having to fight the shitty city!
I’m in and out of here at strange hours these days. I’ve been super busy trying to get caught up with everything after having one arm for six months. My house is looking shiny and happy and smells like sunshine so I’m making progress!
I also go through streaks of creativity which is currently going on. On those days I paint, create, work stained glass whatever strikes my fancy that day. Those are long quiet, uninterrupted days that I enjoy a cup of coffee or a hot chocolate and a prettily rolled doobie and pure blissful peace.
It’s starting to snow here, expecting 12-16” and I say let her fly. Snow today and tomorrow then six days of sunshine with a high of 70* next Sunday. Mother Nature is for sure offa her meds!
So, all is good in the woods hood.. Le Bon Ton Roulet’

Morning!!
Early bird gets the worm!
But remember, the second mouse gets the cheese!!
😂

@Zen_seeker have you tried a fungal reset to shake the doldrums?
Yep. Got a great gift from my wife. Unfortunately they must have been old/week. Did keep my mood up between Christmas and some of January.

Experience was about 25% what I remember and had to take a lot more. Unfortunately only one trusted contact these days. Now that the local stores are all gone.

If I ever get a chance to get something good and fresh I’ll go again. I don’t mind seeing patterns or colours either. Only lasted about five hours the first day. After that was just kind of meh. Even when I doubled the amount. 🤷‍♂️

That stinks. I've been trying to figure out when I'm going to do another fungus grow. Still have one whole bar stashed from last run which was in 2023. When I get back in it, I can make some double strength chocolate bars to send you for nothing.
Ya, I never tried the caterpillar or whatever it is either. Only ever seen it in a few bottles when I was younger. Don’t think it’s done anymore, at least not in the bottles sold up here.
Yeah I've been told that was mainly for us gringos lol

You need to make a journey to the SF Bay area in late Dec. - early Feb. They grow in parks and gardens. Just about anyone that uses woodchip mulch has a great likelihood of seeing both Ps. allenii and Ps. cyanescens. Both are substantially more potent than commercial stuff (Ps. cubensis).

Iffin you wanna see colors, go for Ps. allenii, it appears to contain more baeocystin than Ps. cyanescens, it will make your eyes see things that your brain won't understand. Patterns, colors, mathematic equasions etc. I leaned on the membrane at the edge of the universe one time wondering what would happen if I pushed through.

If your not in Canada don’t mail it. Not worth the risk. But I appreciate the offer. I’ll hear about a local place again eventually.

Strangely a lot of hospital staff use different drugs recreationally. Just sketchy sources. I need to grow my own eventually. The last time I tried I wasted three good grain jars. A few weeks into the grow green mold got in and I couldn’t fight it off. That was disappointing. Was soooo looking forward to that. Even had a few tea recipes to try.

One day. 🤞

We do have them up here at times. I swear some grow in the yard once in a while. Maybe from cutting down a few trees? But I fear just randomly testing.

My wife found PE and Blue Meanies(?). First 2G of PE had the blue on it. Was the best ride. The rest of the PE together did hardly anything. A few days later half the BM was okay. Not as strong as the first PE test though. The rest just left me feeling okay so maybe I’m to old now? IDK.

Son tried a gram or two of each and didn’t get much effect either. So I’m guessing they where old or just weak.

Ok boss. I've only mailed them in the States. It took me 3 tries before I got it right without mold, and omg they just keep coming once you do... It was really cool

Jelly. I thought I had the perfect spot and everything.

I got one of those small clear tent kits for the next time I try. Environment control is my biggest issue. It’s harder than I thought it would be with the way my house is. Even if I can only do it a few times a year I think it would be worth it.
