Hit one end of last year at highway speed 😡😡😡😡 ...totaled the car!
Grateful it didn't come through the window at that speed or I might not be here now!

Yeah i was doing 60-65, I looked over to turn the heat down and BANG.
Its either a deer or a person..... yeah I've hit a person too.... damn crack head jumped in front of my car 5 years ago and I smashed the dude 🤣

Here in kalifornia, we’ve had years with leaf break and/or blossoms in January.

It can be a problem for the growers when that happens because a mid season rain can ruin a whole years crops. But it happens.

After I moved to Nova Scotia a new friend whacked a deer and totaled hid pickup. He said its a good thing I bought the deer insurance????? about $10 extra per month, some sort of comprehensive coverage. Any ways for 30 years I've been paying and last year I collected. I paid $9,000. for my car and they gave me $11,900 fair market value for it 2 years after I bought it.....plus a rental car until the case was settled, just 1 week but I was covered.....Thinking back $10 x12 = $120 x 30 = $3600....I guess its well worth it.
 
One morning I almost took out a mule deer on a local highway, on the way to work.
It was a long downhill stretch, gaining speed, see this large deer stop in the road.

I nearly got it! Skidders and many four letter words steered me around it, but I didn’t need any caffeine that day!

Scared the daylights out of me!

We hit one at 70mph down in Mississippi. Had the hood of the car not popped up, I’m sure it would have killed us all. Totaled the car completely out.

I've been sarcastically suggesting we open up paint ball shooting on deer, and other small woodland creatures that get whacked on the highways. Bright florescent pink, lime green, bright paint and open up tourism. Come on up to N.S. shoot a deer and make our roads safer. it would be much easier to spot a deer with 20 -30 lime green paintball shots across its backside than the camo brown they wear now.

Glad you're not hurt and your family wasn't with you, trauma for sure. It makes you twitchy driving now for a while, the fkers are everywhere and even going slow doesn't stop them from saying hi at the wrong times.

i almost hit a person once... i was in ireland driving a right hand drive car on the other side of the road on st patricks day night. a drunk guy stumbled right off the sidewalk out into the street.. missed him by an inch!!! i'll never forget that moment!!!

hitting a pedestrian is such a fear of mine when driving,

Its a lot like hitting a deer, or when someone gets hit in the movies.
They fly through the air like a rag doll. Even at 35 mph.
The guy I hit rolled up over my roof, smashed in the road, cracked his skull open, there was blood everywhere.
Pretty scary at the time, I thought I was going to jail for vehicular manslaughter lol
That whole ordeal cost me 1800 dollars....

It's Friday so I have a joint ready in car for the after work commute!

Rainy day here in VA, but it's somewhat relaxing to watch from a desk against the window, daydreaming of the times we jumped in puddles for fun, so much more productive than actual work lol
