In the mountains here, too. The quick rise and and fall of flood waters sounds similar. We don't have as much gravel road, tho. Most of that is on private land with long drives or National Forest. State maintained roads are mostly paved, if poorly. In the Summer, they have an annoying habit of spraying tar and spreading fine gravel over it on rural routes. It would be better if they did nothing. All that clickety noise of stuff kicking up under the truck at tar streaks down the side gets me fuming, lol.Water has gone. One thing about how it floods here is it happens quick, and it goes down quick, it’s all the damage to the roads that are slow to be fixed. We literally have several thousand miles of gravel roads here.
My drive had ruts, some three feet deep.
Sun is shining today and 70* expected..
Hope you have a beater to get around in and keep the new ride nice until they get the roads straight. 3' ruts are crazy.
