You got flowers on your tress? its only April, must be that Global warming stuff I keep hearing about. We don't see leaves on trees until June. Only 2 more months of cold rainy stuff for us before the bad weather hits.
Yeah, mid March to the first of April all the fruit trees bloom. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are also in bloom. After this rain all of the trees are leafing out too. But, that’s all normal here. We will be completely green by next week.
I know I lived out west spent a lot of time through the winters in warm locals its just seems so far away now like its not even real. Growing up out in Vancouver I thought winter was wet and we have flowers again in March, not here the weather shits on us here but I bitch, there's no way I could ever live out west in the rat race again. I got peace here, I'll deal with....and bitch about it but I aint moving.
Well I have no rat race here, but I get what you are saying. St Louis would be the closest rat race and it’s 4.5 hours North. I have the inconveniences, but hey..there’s always Amazon!
We also get to dodge hurricanes up here in late Aug into Sept. You can feel it in the air just before, it gets a tropical feel to the wind with high humidity and just a light breeze. I kinda like that feeling and storms are exciting but dodging is much better than getting whacked head on like you folks got hit.

After I moved to Nova Scotia a new friend whacked a deer and totaled hid pickup. He said its a good thing I bought the deer insurance????? about $10 extra per month, some sort of comprehensive coverage. Any ways for 30 years I've been paying and last year I collected. We hit one at 70mph down in Mississippi. Had the hood of the car not popped up, I’m sure it would have killed us all. Totaled the car completely out.
All that matters right? Cars are replaceable/fixable.
I've been sarcastically suggesting we open up paint ball shooting on deer, and other small woodland creatures that get whacked on the highways. Bright florescent pink, lime green, bright paint and open up tourism. Come on up to N.S. shoot a deer and make our roads safer. it would be much easier to spot a deer with 20 -30 lime green paintball shots across its backside than the camo brown they wear now.
Glad you're not hurt and your family wasn't with you, trauma for sure. It makes you twitchy driving now for a while, the fkers are everywhere and even going slow doesn't stop them from saying hi at the wrong times.
