We got about 8” of a dry powdery snow. Missed the ice, which I’m thankful for.
Had a rough week around here, dental implants they are a rip roaring burning bitch! My face has been on fire for the past four days. The pain pills knock the burning out, but oh my gosh, they make me itch from head to toe.
So, kind of a rough few days.

Been good,just dropped some 3 Bubba Mac N Cheese and 2 Blue Dreams, 4 out of 5 planted. 1 BMC still to go. If it doesn't crack tonight I'm dropping another Blue Dream. We're cold -17C about 1 F brr andits going to get colder with some wind on the way. No new snow yet, tonight were supposed to get up to a foot...light fluffy easy to move stuff.
 
We got over 60cm not including drifts. 40cm was supposed to be the high end.

Power steering on the car failed Saturday morning while grocery shopping. Other than checking the fuse I’m not going to be able to look into until a lot of shovelling gets done.

Glad to see you pop in @CannaGranny here’s hoping health and winter are both taking a turn for the better.

Why the run on bread and milk? I get stocking up bread and milk in large quantities is different. Maybe if a few young kids?
 
Still snowing here this am although lightly.
Ventusky is either funny or too accurate.
It says there is an 8 inch difference between the one end of my road and the other [ 2 miles max]~!

Thank God for the Kubota even if the snow is light as a feather.

Today turns out to have the high temp for the week they say at 19f, after that low double digits for highs.

I wonder who would protest that....
To me it doesn't matter what side you are on.
If your child said they were going to protest in Minnesota [ right or wrong] would you let them go? If you would I hope you are at peace with all the bad decisions, you have made.
Seems like an awful lot of bad choices and actions that cannot be taken back.
Used to be cooler heads prevail but I haven't seen any of those lately on either side....

Ah just a joke about the people who buy all this milk and bread when a storm comes cracks me up lol, i didn't buy any milk, just a loaf of some rosemary sourdough bread from the bakery, fucking good af lol

I meant why so much milk and bread? Usually it’s TP, water, cans of things. Milk and bread doesn’t last and sucks after frozen.
 
It’s -21c ATM. Supposed to be a bit colder plus wind chill. That’s coming up on the news in a few minutes.

Still have to check the car. Too cold to be mucking with it this week. Best case is a 7.5A fuse. Worst case is a plastic gear in the middle of the electric steering motor.

Luckily the bus stops on our block so the family can get around and get to work.

We've all been trying to figure it out man, the media made everyone panic.
You would think we've never had snow before with how everyone freaked out.
I went and did my regular grocery shopping wednesday before the storm even came in, then i got 10 bags of wood pellets friday, and a bottle of tequila.
Thats all I needed 🤣

Fkin booze! it starts with a small drink, then 2 ---3 Maybe a weekend ..or an after diner drink then the next thing you know its every fkin night. Careful man that shit can grab you tight and its hard to kick again. I haven't had any since my last concussion, while I was recovering it felt like a bad hangover that lasted almost 2 weeks. The idea of doing that to myself voluntarily was a turn off. Funny a good whack in the head cured me of my increasing addiction to it.

I only quit because after 3 beers I had a serious hangover type headache. Not even the next day but that night~!;bday
I have quit drinking or smoking several times for periods as long as 4 years.
Never both at the same time but one or the other.
Got a full stocked liquor cabinet and zero desire~!
Never liked the taste of beer either so it is not like I am missing anything more than a buzz.
Busted out my seahorse and live resin last night~!

Procrastinating paid off! The way of the slacker has worked for me @steamroller 🤣👊

Let the car sit all week hoping for a warmer day to test things. Never happened.

Now it’s the weekend again and we need groceries as we didn’t stock up last week when the power steering died.

My wife would rather take a bus shopping than skip a few weeks so I checked it out this morning in -15*. Fully expecting nothing to have changed I started the car anyway to make sure it was still broken before pulling fuses and checking connections.

No red steering wheel symbol lit up. After a few minutes I lightly turn the wheel with one finger no problem. 😳
So I told my wife to only go to the closest grocery store so I could walk there and drive it home if it failed again.

A while later I get a call from her saying she’s off to the next store just a little further away. She’ll let me know if there’s a problem. 🤦

I see a possible bus ride in my future. 😞

As this is my first electric steering, and the cars 10 years old but softly driven, I’m not sure what issues are common/normal and what’s just flat out strange. But this sounds like it needs further investigation, once it’s warm enough not to get frostbite.

We’ll take the win for now.
