Ah just a joke about the people who buy all this milk and bread when a storm comes cracks me up lol, i didn't buy any milk, just a loaf of some rosemary sourdough bread from the bakery, fucking good af lol

I meant why so much milk and bread? Usually it’s TP, water, cans of things. Milk and bread doesn’t last and sucks after frozen.
 
It’s -21c ATM. Supposed to be a bit colder plus wind chill. That’s coming up on the news in a few minutes.

Still have to check the car. Too cold to be mucking with it this week. Best case is a 7.5A fuse. Worst case is a plastic gear in the middle of the electric steering motor.

Luckily the bus stops on our block so the family can get around and get to work.

We've all been trying to figure it out man, the media made everyone panic.
You would think we've never had snow before with how everyone freaked out.
I went and did my regular grocery shopping wednesday before the storm even came in, then i got 10 bags of wood pellets friday, and a bottle of tequila.
Thats all I needed 🤣

Fkin booze! it starts with a small drink, then 2 ---3 Maybe a weekend ..or an after diner drink then the next thing you know its every fkin night. Careful man that shit can grab you tight and its hard to kick again. I haven't had any since my last concussion, while I was recovering it felt like a bad hangover that lasted almost 2 weeks. The idea of doing that to myself voluntarily was a turn off. Funny a good whack in the head cured me of my increasing addiction to it.

I only quit because after 3 beers I had a serious hangover type headache. Not even the next day but that night~!;bday
I have quit drinking or smoking several times for periods as long as 4 years.
Never both at the same time but one or the other.
Got a full stocked liquor cabinet and zero desire~!
Never liked the taste of beer either so it is not like I am missing anything more than a buzz.
Busted out my seahorse and live resin last night~!

Procrastinating paid off! The way of the slacker has worked for me @steamroller 🤣👊

Let the car sit all week hoping for a warmer day to test things. Never happened.

Now it’s the weekend again and we need groceries as we didn’t stock up last week when the power steering died.

My wife would rather take a bus shopping than skip a few weeks so I checked it out this morning in -15*. Fully expecting nothing to have changed I started the car anyway to make sure it was still broken before pulling fuses and checking connections.

No red steering wheel symbol lit up. After a few minutes I lightly turn the wheel with one finger no problem. 😳
So I told my wife to only go to the closest grocery store so I could walk there and drive it home if it failed again.

A while later I get a call from her saying she’s off to the next store just a little further away. She’ll let me know if there’s a problem. 🤦

I see a possible bus ride in my future. 😞

As this is my first electric steering, and the cars 10 years old but softly driven, I’m not sure what issues are common/normal and what’s just flat out strange. But this sounds like it needs further investigation, once it’s warm enough not to get frostbite.

We’ll take the win for now.

I am thinking I may have the next 2 weeks or so off~! ;hop
Now I got to start a grow or I will spin my wheels so much I may never be able to get free.
Can't say the thought of not going out in this weather bothers me one little bit.
So cold here I am going to start the grow in the house in my 4x4 tent for the first month or so then go to the room.

Sometimes the real cold weather makes them act wonky.my jeep does the same thing in the winter sometimes. Takes about 2 minutes when you first start it for the pump to kick on sometimes. I will Proubly have to replace the pump eventually but still holding on for now.

We are going back Monday . I think we only worked 3 days in december only 5 in January. Gona warm up a little here next week. It's just been to cold or windy to build a tarp to work under.real bad winter here this year in indiana.

My Jeep only had issues with the throw out baring. Miss it.

This KIA has a EPS so no pump. Just an electric motor in the middle. A total PITA to get to if repairs are needed. But I’ve seen $4k prices by people that had to pay to get it fixed.

So if it’s just a battery, belt or other easy fix I’ll be happy.

I....uh.......do not remember the last time I filed taxes........it was garnished anyways once, due to traffic tickets, and uhhh.......I don't make shit anyways.....ultimate slacker here.......I win.

If you don't do your taxes you can't get any GST rebates or other free cash govs send out every now and then. If you don't owe them you might be eligible for back GST rebate checks. They are not all that much but an extra few hundred doesn't hurt.....and the just announced a grocery rebate attached to the GST rebate for another few hundred. We are also eligible for home upgrades and repairs with some Gov assistance programs. I'm hoping for help with Plumbing and Electrical with forgivable loans to help keep seniors in their homes longer.

Taxes are the only thing I used to procrastinate about. Fighting with them is a full time job. Even with my accountant when I had my business it would be a PITA half the time as they try to take back every cent. Once it cost me $4k as it would have cost more to fight them even though I was in the right.

My wife losses hers too because she’s attached to the business. I’ve had $0 income since 2019. Just my savings. I’m thrifty for a reason, being part Scottish is just a coincidence.

Just checking in. I got through ten days of burning bitch face lol. I’m still bitchy, but my face doesn’t hurt!
Come to find out, all the pain was because one of the extractions dry socketed. I was in a pickle! My 16 ( yup a whole 16) pain pills quickly ran out, I was snowed in..no way out unless it was a med evac copter. So I had to tough it out.
I made a clove paste, ate Tylenol like jelly beans and had my face iced for nine days. Finally on day ten, I woke with a minimal pain and day eleven was my first pain free day.
I was unfit for human consumption! Mad, unreasonable and ready to whip a damn lion. (My poor Hubby put up with my shit).
I learned that the strain Thundergun Express actually exacerbated my pain.
A big part of my problem was the dry socket was under a crown making it hard to salt water rinse etc.
I called the dentist office and told them what was going on. They wanted to call me in some antibiotics and pain pills. Joke joke, I couldn’t get out to get them!
Don’t think that dentist is not gonna catch total hell from me. I had asked him what was the worse thing that could happen and what I should do if it happened. Reminding him this storm was coming and I couldn’t get out. He assured me that nothing was going to happen, it was an upper extraction and they never dry socketed. Well, guess what asswipe!
The whole damn thing could have been avoided had he been willing to give me more than 16 pain pills and just start a round of antibiotics for safe measure. Which he was also unwilling to do. His ass is grass! I go back the 21st to get my permanent crowns, he best bring him an extra ass that day.
Anyways!
Finally got out yesterday 13 days later made a trip and got a ton of wood pellets. Temps are due to hit the 60’s in a couple of days and my road will thaw. That means the big Dodge and a ton on it would fall through my road as it thaws.
So, that’s the adventure I have been living. Exciting, huh?
I guess that’s the price I paid for being vain and wanting to keep my teeth..but damn! Had I known there was going to be so much hell..I would have got new boobs too! 😆🥲😄😁
