You should have seen the ones from the 1st round. Longest foxtails ive ever seen. One plant was massive buds of foxtails. This round of girls has been tamer. Should have f2s and hybrids soonWOW!!! reminds me of back when .......especially that 1st picture!
I also grew a coupls lbs of the original Silver Haze from Sensi in the early 90's, and it foxtailed as well.
I have found the nitrogen contributes to foxtailing and could be the cause in some strains but most likely it's sativa traits. Most pure sativas will start to regrow if left on 12/12 and do better if dropped to 10/14 for the last to weeks. I did cut out the calmag this run because of the nitrogen and plants are a bit tamer this runI was chastised pretty good over on the other forum by a member with thousands of post when I dared to have a possitive opinion of foxtails and fell on the side of genetics more so than enviroment. Yes, summer grows were more aerie buds and longer foxtails, but it always foxtailed. I grew NL5 x Haze back in the mid 90's for a living and it, the pheno we chose, always foxtailed. I posted a picture of NL5 x Haze from the Sinsi Seed bank showing the foxtails, only to be told by that member that the plant in the picture was in serious nitrogen overdose and overwatered and that was why it was foxtailing. Oh well, it's all good. Not my job to change his mind, just try to explain where I'm coming from.

Those foxtails sure make dry sifting sooooo much easier as well. I feasted on smoking full melt trichomes every day for years. Ahhhhh yessss!!! Hazy sativa memories

Gruntz tend to be on the taller stretchy side but more vertical growth than bush. Nice sized buds and lots of them. the han solo death cookies took a bit longer in flower 10wks ish but the resin content on some of phenos is great a buddy is getting 4% on live rosin from one he selected from a single pack.
I'm finishing off my GH stuff on this run, so I've got cal-mag, bloom and micros in there as well as some silica, fulvic, and bennies. I have dropped the grow completely because plenty of N already.
Look good man, I'm growing pure Colombian now. Day 25 of 11-13 and no pistil in sight. Watching your thread, I remember some pure mexican seeds I have might be a good match. Happy growin.
