White water rafting? I'm 70, wife is 76, I'll sit on the bank watching, smoking and laughing as you roll on by with your life jackets and paddles. My participation sports now would be Darts, Pool, Chess, Crib & maybe a taco eating contests, I limit my self to 12 normally as I don't like getting too full to have dessert but in a contest it would have to be a timed event because I've not found a limit to my taco consumption

Well, I guess that cinches it. Imma sit on the bank, kill cows and make tacos. Note to self, plant large lettuce tomato and cilantro patches prior to PC’s visit.

I got callouses on my rolling fingers.......and I use a rolling machine!!!!

@Moe.Red - maybe some more mellow activities would be best overall. How about a spot that has a lazy river tour where we can do down in groups and pass doobs and drink beers as we lazily float along and make fun of the other members floating around?

That bay shot reminds me of a couple friends that were doing a surf trip to New Zealand. They were looking for untouched surf sites and found a bay with waves cracking off the point and not a soul for miles. They paddled in and were surfing some superb waves. One of my friends, Andrew, is getting spaghetti arms and decides to paddle in and eat his brown bag lunch on the hillside while he watches Caleb surf. As he's eating he notices a large dark object in the water getting closer and closer to the take off spot where Caleb is bobbing around waiting for the next wave. He goes running down the hill waving his hands in the air trying to get Calebs attention. Just so happens a choice wave comes rolling through and Caleb takes it and surfs it all the way to the beach. As he's walking out of the surf, Andrew, the friend that was running down the hill, is waving and pointing. Caleb turns around just in time to see the fins of a pod of killer whales breaking the surface around 50 feet from him.

Shits wild in your neck of the woods.......
 
OK I spoke to Jo at Two Rivers Ozark Cabins.

Friday August 18, 19, leaving on the 20th there are 4 cabins available at $125/night + $30 for cleaning. So both nights are $280 total.

EDIT: Does not conflict with the horse people.

It is not on the river. but close.

It’s a nice river u b able to chill like riding down the pine , very little paddling! Which is great
 
We did alot of taking down here both ocean and river - shit guess I clicked on two many pics ! lol all taking from my kayak though it’s great down here sad to be leaving 🥲 but we will be back! Lol

Those cabins look like they do have window AC's.

Also if the cost would limit a lot of people from coming we could look at a campground with cabins as well as tent camping. Just first place I found with a google search but has cabins with AC in the $125/night range but also tent camping as low as $10/night.

Circle B is right on the river too. There is tons of stuff available here. Also air bnbs at many different price levels. I suggested the cabins as she is canna friendly. Arrowhead campground also has tent/rv spaces and it’s also river front.

It sure is mate.one of the last remaining places in the world that hasn’t been spoilt by man.we have the worlds largest stands of hardwood trees left ,the cleanest air and there’s plenty of hiking and fishing for you to do..

That whole area is amazing! Papau New Guinea, Fiji, NZ, Vanuatu!

I loved the Gold Coast when I was in Australia. Everyone was so much fun and they kept buying me liquor. I think they wanted to see what the Yank was made of! All I remember are Tooheys and Carlton Draughts! 🤣
 
Tasmania.😄...you guys have a wicked accent.they just kept giving you beers so to hear you talking..it’s great to chat to other people in different countries and form new friendships..I was fishing in our river one day .and a yanky showed up..first thing he said was’its a fine little creek what yous got here’ I said to myself..creek...it’s a river here.I thought straight away he’s from Mississippi lol as that rivers huge .sounded abit like George bush 😀
