Getting pretty comfortable with the whole salt/high-freq-fert method, ready to try it in rockwool next.

Re-arranged the grow area for now, thinking about throwing a wall up and turning this into a "room", half the living room space convert to grow room.

Getting this ready for the next veg run, finally automatic-watering.

A wall before or after the outlet there on the left side by lamp.

Few more nights on 2x4 then next veg run start soon.

Last place fucked this run just rushing to the finish line to start again

and approximately the first line from the bottom of a 16oz red solo cup is 88~mL so i was damn close, ha.

first watering event about to happen, close enough to 1am, so 3 hours after lights on, watering 88~mL

i ended up giving them x2 , so 176~mL of water

in my mind, the substrate was dry as fuck, so thats basically ~~0%~~water content, + the 176mL, need to weigh/slide a scale under the pot, weigh the substrate when its dry,

and then add the 80 or 160ml and then weigh it, do the difference and thats the water content %

make a table for the WC ranges, and BAM
including time/weight/% fert amount, check the differences every hour before/after watering or so.

crop-steering without sensors

mimicking the same "crop steering" techniques/ PATTERNS , WITHOUT sensors.

Once i get the E.C variable dialed, ive not made the time for it, yet.

unless im terribly mistaken, and missing some "proprietary" information or variable/detail.

then i can do shit like playing around with stressors/increasing-decreasing E.C/changing ENV variables for certain responses from the plants.

It's maybe a bit too late now, but next time if you want to force senescence you can give them a high-ish dose of pk for a couple days, around 2 weeks before you want to harvest. Dry Koolbloom 2-45-23 is an old favourite for ripening plants on a schedule.

does epsom/mag sulfate count/ as/is half of that PK ?

so something like potassium sulfate would be better? or pot-sulfate+mag-sulfate ?

im my mind im in that 1-2 week window but idk, depends i guess ? i could wait or another week (?)

i member seeing you pull out that koolbloom bag at the end and i wanted to try/learn doing that as well.

did you also leave lights on 18hours or 24hours the last week or 2nd, at lower PPFD ?

No, epsom salts are low dose mag sulphate. You just want a spiking powder with a relatively high pk ratio like dry koolbloom or big bud powder or similar. But you can use epsom salts right after it for the last couple weeks of low dose feeding and on its own the last few days.

just need to get a few more supplies/tools/materiels

get nails/thumb tacks to finish hanging all the power strips up and just organize it better

had to move things around and redo the cords/wiring, couldnt get to one side of the 5x5 as easily.

would like to "seal" that half of the living room and flower outside the 5x5, and veg in the 2x4.

Can you make or buy folding blinds? Or hang blackout curtains that look nice? Some room dividers are nice but pricey. Seen a few in apartments that share living/dining areas.

Trying to improve all aspects/optimize.

Get the most use out of my available grow space/sqft.
Really liked the SOG for that.

one plant i harvested did not really need to trimmed, just picked the fan leafs on harvest, cut the nugs off the main-stem/cola and jar.

keep an eye on MC%, need to get some hygrometers.

gotta stop letting the 5x5 dry back at 6-10am, way too hard/2many of a dry back ,i think is starting to do some damage

otherwise they still healthy, 2/4 are "perking" more-so than the other 2
