Supa Freak, Fryday, and First Lady

I got you, yeah you have to use the trio as one unit, but outside of that anything goes in my book, of course with proper research and understanding.
If it mixes well without causing cloudy, silty, smelly water then I suppose but I don't know why you'd take a chance using other products if your main nute supplier has what you need. Maybe for example Advanced has a bloom booster/hardener I wouldn't want to add it to my GH nutes during a critical time through flower without having mixed them together in the past without issues.

I was using a non GH salts control product Hyclean 1/ml per gal.....not good, it is what was causing chelating of my nutes. Just a simple clean product from another company fked up my batches. I ain't doing that again

I understand, for me I've never seen any precipitation, ever, outside of forgetting to lower ph after silica before calmag. To each their own of course. The reason i don't use all their products is because i believe others are better like the data i posted on silica. I know GH has spent a lot of research on the trio, decades ago, before anything else they've made, it's tried and true, while their supplements have changed recipes more than once over the years. If that makes sense.

Never ever have smelly water, i never have any adverse effects from mixing it up. Only ever seen chelating when mixing out of order or not checking ph before calmag. Never used hyclean, or any cleaning products outside of cleaning prep for the next run.

To each their own, but just want to say that it's not bad to mix products across the board in a blanket statement. At least in my experience.

Its for me something I was taught by my Guru 30 odd years ago and confirmed in the shit I've read and seen online since. I don't have any scientific knowledge to back that up but I've mixed and matched a few times over the years without good results so I'm pretty well stuck in..... my...belief... heavy on the my part...lol.

Some growers just use the basic 3 N P K powdered minerals and skip the additives altogether for pennies on the dollar I wish I had that knowledge. I add Zinc, copper,Sulfur, manganese, boron and a bunch of other supposedly good shit...lol to apparently make them bigger badder and better...so says the labels
