Sweet Leaf Grow's Grow Room

Plants look great as always man. 👊
Thanks Bro, appreciate it! I'm a tryin that's all I can say

This update shows the Purple Zkittlez showing a beautiful fade, nothing I am doing, it's just ripening up, I figure I got about 2 more weeks but we shall see.

Violeta is not disappointing anyone, she's a beauty. One over achiever is making me raise the light more than I would like but is what it is, some wonderful purple hues coming through loud and clear!

;budi
Thanks man, this plant is a trip and I'm hoping it's fire when finished!

Beautiful plants as always Bro! Sorry to hear about the illness and such. Hope things are going well!
Thanks Buzz, so good to see you on the boards again! How's your grow going these days?

Thanks SLG! I’ve been busy with a lot of stuff away from the tent. Switched to a single plant set up for my last grow. Started with a clone of Ethos Crescendo Rbx1 from a local grower. Great run super sticky buds but only tested at 17% THC. 🤷 Here’s a pic right before harvest.IMG_5053.jpeg
Been waiting on clones and beans from DFG’s since early May. Finally gave up on that last week. Have one bean left of the Mac Dragon Bx1 you had sent me a couple years ago so decided to give that a go yesterday. If all goes well I’ll be harvesting before Christmas! 😁

Nice job with the Crescendo Buzz, maybe you took it a bit early to have the numbers that low. Beautiful plant regardless 👊

Things in the grow room are heating up with the hot weather but got that mostly under control, getting nice cool temps at night so that should work toward some good terpene numbers.

Purple Zkittlez is getting very close. Breeder says 60-63 days flowering time which lands me about the 13th of August, so that is the tentative harvest date for this gal. I haven't looked at trichomes yet but will probably break out the scope around the 12th to see where these blossoms are. Full on fade in progress and she's ripening up nicely.

Violeta is simply gorgeous, flipped on the 12th of July so these blossoms are really ahead of where I expected and that over achiever is still stretching, doggoneit, but the good news is I think she finally stopped, got the light almost to the top so she better stop before I run out of headroom. The rest of the plant is fairly even in the canopy, looking fantastic IMO.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a great week ahead!

Cruising along in the grow room, Purple Zkittlez is almost ready to harvest, siting at 56 days atm, breeder says 60-63 days so I'll start looking at trichomes later next week starting around day 60.

Violeta is definitely not disappointing, probably one of the easiest plant I've grown. She likes lower ppm's sitting around 350. She finally stopped stretching and now just bulking up on these blossoms. Sitting around 30 days in flower atm so lots of time for these to really bulk up, super excited by this grow.

Lasst but not least is the Aetherial Orange by Brother Mendel. This plant has struggled from day one, mostly my fault. I had that CLW light set for early veg but it runs the blue spectrum at full tilt and stacks those nodes almost on top of each other. I lowered the blue spectrum to about 60% and raised the light way up, then lowered the ppm's which I think I had too hot. The roots have struggled the most and at one time it had a pretty good root ball established. But I looked one day and that thing had broken off and there were barely any roots coming out of the net pot. I have some Mycorhizza (sp?) so I added that to the res after I changed it and lowered the EC.

Happy to report that what I did helped greatly and the roots have really taken back off. I was about to cull this plant and start another from, seed but looks like I won't have to do that. Will top it when it gets a few more leaves and she stretches out a bit more after the light spectrum change.

Been super busy and haven't had a chance to update for a while.

Purple Zkittlez has been harvested, dried and curing in Grove bags as we speak. I forgot to take chop day photos but she hadn't changed much since my last update. I ended up with a bit over 9 oz in the harvest and its pretty good for the buzz as well, seems pretty strong and a good smoke if you ask me.

Mendek's AF Coup has been tested, haven't had time to post the results but this is a perfect example of thc not being the deciding factor for the quality of a certain smoke. She tested in the low 20's but terps were pretty high at around 2.5% which is killer, could have been better but whatever that combination, that stuff gets me ripped so there you go....it's not always about high thc.

Violeta has started her fade, a bit early but is what it is. I've defoliated a lot of the fans and just getting this gal ready for a harvest in 2 weeks give or take. She's a pretty plant and lots of purple!

In the other 3x3 is Mendel's Aetherial Orange. A short and bushy gal, took some of the blue out of the spectrum so as to try to encourage her to space out those nodes a bit further. I've topped her once and did a bit of LST using my milk jug Idea, works great for tying those branches where you want them.

IMG_5455.jpg

Last but not least, is the pre 2003 AK 47 from Brother Mendel. I didn't plan it this way, but it came out I'm running all Mendel strains right now, I've been pretty impressed with his work so thought I would take a deep dive so that's my story and stickin to it! She'll be in the 5x5, started the seed in a paper towel and she has since been put in the system, roots already in the water which is a very mild 1:1:1:1 ratio of the GH trio and cal/mag, about 200 ppm. Looking forward to what this gal has to offer.

Thanks Max, quite a compliment from you brother. So glad to see you back on the boards, I was a wee bit worried about you!

+1 ^ ^....^
Thanks doublej, appreciate the love!

Been a while so I thought I would give an update on the grow room.

Violeta has been harvested and in jars, turned out pretty good with about 7 ounces of pretty good bud.

Looks like this is going to be an all Brother Mendel grow in my room for a bit. Got the Aetherial Orange has been flipped to flower and now waiting on pistils to start showing.

IMG_5478.jpg
Next, in the 5x5 is Mendel's pre 2003 AK47. She is super happy after I topped her about the 5th node.

IMG_5479.jpg

Last but not least is Mendel's Chanel #47 just starting out after Violeta finished up.

IMG_5480.jpg

Hows things goin SLG.
Hanging in there brother. Had my one year scans recently and no evidence of disease, same as the 6 month scans so I'm happy about that but the side effects of the radiation are no fun at all and have not subsided very much.

How are you doing? Good to see you back on the boards 👊

Things in the grow room are moving along as well as can be expected. Pre 2003 AK-47 is banging it out and almost ready for flip on this one, nice and healthy, just waiting for a bit more in size, try to fill this tent with one plant.

IMG_5483.jpg
IMG_5484.jpg

Aetherial Orange is in full bloom and sending off so LOUD terps already, nice hint of cinnamon coming through loud and clear, this one smells like nothing I've ever grown and really looking forward to what she produces at the finish line.

IMG_5485.jpg
IMG_5486.jpg

Last and least is the Chanel #47 which sprouted nice but just dudded out. I've tried everything including raising the nutrient levels and nothing works. I'm going to cull this one and start over.

IMG_5487.jpg

Thats about it from the grow room. Temps are getting easier to control, we've already had a hard freeze and so getting things cool at night has been a breeze and not having to run the A/C so much.

Everything’s as good as it’s gonna b so no complaints..🙂 im happy for you SLG that your scans are clear..

do I see damping off on the little gals stem. .I’ve had that once and thought it was the nutes.does that look like damping off to you.

I wouldn't know, never seen damping off. This plant was weak from day one and just never did anything. The roots are the same, puny little roots so no surprise there. Getting a new seed ready for that system, just slacking on what I know needs to be done.

It's been a while since I posted an update and had some time today so here it is

Mendel's Aetherial Orange is showing off her beautiful fade and some nice fat buds developing. She's asking for less and less nutrients to where I am just topping off with plain RO water the past few days, we're looking at 48 days since flip or 6 weeks and 6 days, almost a full 7 weeks. Breeder says 8-10 weeks, I think this gal will be ready closer to 8 weeks than 10.

IMG_5490.jpg

That pre 2003 AK47 is really starting to shine, a couple of weeks since flip and flowers are forming nicely. It's a big plant and I've had a hard time pruning in the back, trying not to have so much larf through pruning but the back of that tent is a bitch to get at. I'm going to get in there and try to remove some of the side branching to force that energy into the main cola this time.

IMG_5494.jpg

IMG_5495.jpg

Lastly is the Chanel #47 from Brother Mendel. This plant was originally set to be culled but I put it off and when I finally was going to do the dirty deed, I noticed the roots had really taken off! I decided to let her go since I was already invested in the plant over a month and she' doing pretty well now. I topped it around the 5th or 6th node and lowered the light to reduce that stretching she is doing.

IMG_5496.jpg

Things in the room are going fairly smooth, got the Aetherial Orange all harvested and in jars, decent smoke with an unmistakable taste of oranges.

Right now the AK47 is stealing the show with Chanel #47 right behind her. For a plant that was going to get culled, the Chanel #47 is
turning out to be a nice plant with a great canopy, nice and even.

Finally I got a seedling of Compound Genetics Stay Puft. The smallest seeds I have ever seen and the seedling to match. Got some high hopes for this one so we shall see.
