The Psyche Gardens

When I served through open-close, lunch and dinner, like 10am-12 I just need 10-20 minutes to eat and use bathroom, redose, then back to bustin'-ass.

Don't need a whole 30, or 60, I just prefer to do it as I go.

The Faster I move, the faster time moves.

Get this shit done, fuckin go home, "party", rinse & repeat.

I'm already telling some of the guys , "let's go".

Gonna say yall are fucking slow next time I'm waiting to get to work/the next task lol.
I can be a hard-ass asshole-swingin dick, but I don't want that habit, I want to be nice and respectful and considerate, but at the same time, mother fucker move your fucking ass, I fucking AM. Lets fucking go get shit done.

Not my fault the "new guy" has to tell you to move faster.

I think the bosses are already seeing I
move faster, and that I can be capable.

I'm not scared to get my hands dirty.

(1 main leader/boss, and his right hand man")

We were backfilling or refilling a whole, 2/3 people need to shovel dirt while onetime person stamps/compacts the dirt down with boots or a tool, I jump in the hole and say alright lets go, no one really moves, (lol yea why listen to the new guy")

Then boss says the same shit I did to basically reinforce It I suppose, for example.

I am.

Settling into this new routine has been easy for me, so far, done a similar schedule/work routine before.

I was on a little private "construction crew" 5-7 Years ago before, accept that schedule was 5am-630pm. Payed garbage, but I guess is fair when you don't know shit and someone has to hold your hand, lol.
And with how modern day capitalism works...

I'm relaxing right now, taking a couple shots, gonna smoke, get cleaned up, probably fall asleep around 8 or before, get up at 3am, chill till 5:30, get back to it.
I’ve always preferred the early starts and early finish hours. Gives you a few hours to get things done or enjoy yourself. Got lucky as a contractor to keep choosing early starts.

Starting low on the job totem is typical and how you learn the ropes. Your background and education can actually help in this field if you choose to stick with it down the road. And yes, I expect having access to good quality nutrients might come in handy and the boss won’t mind a little being used when asked.

Glad you’re enjoying this and taking it seriously. Make contacts where you can. Treat that lunch lady nice, maybe grab her a coffee or something one day. People like that can really help make your day.

Looking forward to how things go by summer. 👊🤞

What’s that grow pic from?

You’re the new guy still. You can think that but don’t go pissing on the old guys the first month you’re there. 🤣

Dude/bro/sir...

Every morning so far, im watching the sun rise.

its fucking gorgeous.

its a big fuckin HUGE ball of fucking plasma, superheated hydrogen.

shinning "down" "upon" the "earth" marble...energizing it....extrapolate that data to another solar system and civilization out there in the universe...

thought popped back into my mind on my 2/3rd day. I'm on my second weed now.

Just like we are down here on this surface...
Yeah sunrise life is how it is on the golf course, oh man i miss it sometimes. We didn't have much work in the winter though, that's good they got stuff to do still. Like you said, we could get high, but don't rub it in anyone's face or let the boss catch you red handed and you're golden

Good to hear it all man

The free golf perk of working there is what got me into the game. Just don't go taking the governors off 3-4 golf carts and invite your friends to race them and see which one rolls first... Oh good times 🤣

All fuckin day digging around 4/ of these irrigation heads, fixing any leaks, reseating, filling back in.

Pretty fuckin easy and chill ass workday though.

I'm enjoying it so far.

Was thinking I could commit to this place for the next 6 months atleast, try to anyways, see how it goes,
"get back on my feet".

I might be here for awhile, long-term, though.

Work towards getting my liquor license back somehow; and go back to fine dining serving for 10-100$/hr, though I could do this in the mornings and serve at night....$

Another good day.
We had to dig/follow the pipe, find the leak, it was a metal piece that connects 2 pvc irrigation pipes, it was rusted out and leaking through one little spot, replaced it, put a new one one, pulled the water out and filled it back in. Took all fucking day for that one task pretty much, 30 minutes going to the next task to fix it, but found another issue and fixed that instead, fix the other issue in the morning.

Yeah, it can be a lot.

Another funny time out on the course was when i saw a geyser shoot up over the trees a hole or two away!! Must have been almost 10 stories or more

My brother also worked there and was hand watering a green we were giving some TLC, he would hook up to the main line with a hose. He said when he when to turn it off with the twist, he instantly saw the ground swell up and he said he just jumped for it lol

I can't remember if we already had the remote control cut off valves installed by then or not, it was hilarious!

Remote control shut off valves?

I'm digging that shit out and turning them off manually, lol.

Be in the moment

Enjoy you're time.

Be happy

No matter how hard it is.

Word hard, play harder.

Enjoy the little things.

Everything will be okay.

Trajectory.

Path forward, once again.

Rebuild from 0

Focus.

Move you're ass, but think.

I could scream out my anger and pain infinitesimally.

I/we can do better, be better.

Goodnight everyone.

Back to the "grind"....

☠️💀

My mind and worth is bigger than this capitalistic economical system....

=(

Goodnight.

the "grind" shall continue.

120psi+ on this system, saw geyser today out of commercial/golf-course scale irrigation head

Remote control shut off valves?

Yeah we installed them and remote remote sprinklers when i was there in 03 i think. Likely a high budget being a country club with 36 holes and other things. At least I'm pretty sure, i remember they controls that looked like walkie talkies but had several buttons, they pressed specific sequences to turn on/off specific ones outside of the timed schedule, and maybe I'm wrong about the shutoff but i think they put those in too, i remember ditches everywhere one year as they dug up old irrigation and retrofitted everything.

Oh it's been maybe two decades, but they were doing some cool shit before i left

I loved mowing the greens in the morning and bunkers later, but often it was a lot of weed eating, god damn pond banks and geese shit going everywhere

Some people don't have an inner voice at all research shows, think about that
It's crazy, i never knew that, my mind is like yours, always running, why i like to slow it down sometimes just to relax, fucking think too much

Yeah some people have no inner voice and don't understand what that is, they just say everything that comes to mind

Some people don't have an inner voice at all research shows, think about that
I've stumbled on that before, I don't understand how that works? Lol.

I'm constantly thinking different things simultaneously.

Scale, the physics, ways to solve a problem, how to diagnose and then Do it.

My "inner voice" is "loud"

Why are you laid out on the courtyard lawn? 🤣
I was walking/standing around the hotel with a speaker, while I was smoking; someone opened their curtains and looked, maybe I bothered them.

So I moved to the middle of the buildings and felt comfortable to lay down, and listen to my music and not bother others too much.

'"Dog" tired", "laying in my back yard".

Physically tired, sore, "drunk" & gettin "high".

Lol.

Work hard, party harder.
Rinse & Repeat.

Hmm, I mean they can control irrigation through computer ofc/context, but yea there's the physical valves we have to dig to and replace if they leak or turn them off to fix the leak down from it.
besides the irrigation heads or water lines them selfs.

Spent pretty much the whole fucking day fucking with mud, getting dirty.

Digging a hole around a irrigation head, finding the leak, it was a 4inch diameter I think, pvc water line that had a crack or cut on the underside.

Dig and suck the water out so we can fuckin see what we are working with, go from there.

The tools are getting clogged and need maintenance now after the last few week(s) of doing the same shit.

The commercial grade scale waterpump, similar.

1771548714220.jpeg

Fucking thing wouldn't work and started to piss me off a little, cause I'm trying to get a task/job done and the fucking tools aren't working lol.

Like, cmon, "boss" I'll get this shit done as fast as you'd like, but give me fucking tools that work, or fix them, or fucking teach/show me how so I can fucking move on.

Took most the day to dig around it and fucking with the tools and mud/water.

Fix the leak in the morning, cut the pvc pipe leak part off and attach a "skimmer" to reconnect the pipes and seal it.

Nope but I'm around them and that shit rubs off by osmosis after a while. Plus military background and I've seen a ton of success and failures in young people. A lot of your story is relatable as well...some of your stuff is me 30 years ago. The grind is real and tough times comes and go.
The good thing about golf course work is it requires physical presence. AI is taking more and more jobs but it can't take vocational work that requires humans to be there. My city is full of people who were making half a million a year and now they can't find work with AI taking their code work.
Now there's homes stalled out being built...saw one getting stuff like windows and doors repo'ed after the builder/buyer lost everything.
Car lots are full of expensive luxury cars and repo biz is having a boom. People moving from the city in droves from that industry.
I think the teet on the tech cash cow has dried up man. This place is pretty much a silicone valley and all these wannabe Bill Gates are taking bottom barrel jobs to stay afloat and selling off all the nice things they own.
Plus that work can lead to better opportunities man...public course today, private club tomorrow. There's also green spaces like football and baseball fields in public and private sector. That was actually what I applied for...taking care of a football field but took another spot in equipment management.
Leading towards a dystopia perhaps.

Robots and ai/algorithms do the work. "Fuck the rest of the human peasants"

I appreciate you're insight.

Hmm, private club...maybe more $$ to work it...

I'm sure there's atleast 1 "luxury private golf course here in tulsa/ba-OK".
