Ok, in the "closed" gallon its better than I expectedI bet this pH is incorrect.
Hey!I’d go with phosphoric acid bro… it will hold the pH much longer
Yeah it can be. I wouldn’t say one is a must over the other. It can make a small difference in nutrient ratios where in flower P demand is lower and sulphur is a bit higher.Hey!
Speaking of acid, I've heard sulferic acid is good to use in flowering instead of phosphoric. Is this accurate?
I have some sulferic acid otw, and was wondering last night if it's ok to use this to lower pH after silicate or to still use phosphoric acid for that and sulferic acid for normal lowering
@Observer I like the high pressure setup, should be a few steps up over low pressure for sure.
I have a little insight into this:
Mycos have worked for me in hydro, in DWC, aero, and RDWC. The catch, I had to start with "clean" water to be able to go live without any baddies growing and without killing the good ones. The easiest way for me is to just start with RODI water, no dechlorination needed.
I'd like to think that's why I have the biggest and healthiest roots and plants I've ever had this go.
I think this was a week or two before switching to flower. I'm scared to even look how big they are now. This is all live with beneficial bacteria, tricha, and mycrohorzie.
Gets fuzzy and all that good shit lol

Looks good, testing pending.
No sensor you can make/buy to put in with the root zone?To me, so far, right now, this is the most complicated part.
This irrigation needs to come on as soon/right after the water is evaporating off the root system, just before the roots "dry"
Imo, in my thoughts, this is the most optimal timing.
I just gotta Observe and Map that Pattern, correlate to the Timer/Cycles.
You find it?Sauce is thick tonight.
This is as close as I budgetly can get to Moe's giga efficient systems.
Grafting weed to bamboo next?Hehe
Sitting here with it, Observing.
Just amended the distilled water to the "correct" variable ranges.
No just weaker it reacts with bicarbonate and off gasses very quickly so the effectiveness is not good. Its only good for mixing nutrients to keep them in a ph range where they don’t precipitate out. Say for like soil where once you pour the nutrients in the soil will buffer the ph.Yea citric acid is just weaker
But supposedly citric acid acts as a chelator too, so that sounds good
and it was cheaper for me to buy from Walmart.
I still need phosphoric acid to make MSA with pot sillicate....and then I need KoH or another base to create a pH buffer for my solution with phosphoric acid.
I wanted to get a bottle of 85% phosphoric acid but more than what I wanted to spend atm.

Definitely not good for hydro
Anytime brotherAhhhhhhhh
I have to keep checking it
Not very stable at all
Thanks aqua
It has both phosphoric and citric acid. Cleans soft pots nicely in 5g pale.Glad to have you confirm this.
I just bought my second bottle of pH down and made sure to get phosphoric over citric.

I think it was the cheaper choice also.
@Aqua Man this is what I was wondering about, will another acid react the same with P. Silicate, like sulferic acid? Do I have to use phosphoric acid when lowering the ph from p. silicate before adding nutes, or any acid will work?I still need phosphoric acid to make MSA with pot sillicate....and then I need KoH or another base to create a pH buffer for my solution with phosphoric acid.

There are products that contain citric, phosphorus and sulphuric acod.@Aqua Man this is what I was wondering about, will another acid react the same with P. Silicate, like sulferic acid? I believe I got the bulk pure acid idea from you aqua, def way more cost effective. and then dilute to your liking.
just came in today:

and then pure phosphoric acid (I think this will last me a lifetime, only used a few mL so far to make a huge bottle of diluted mix, that i've barely used)

niiiiiice!!
At 15 minutes, 5s onniiiiiice!!
Ok coolOnly if anything is getting plugged brother
you thinking of filling up the cup with something? guess it's too late to put something under the cubes.I think the cubes are 2 wet.
I got some pure coco, I could maybe wet and stuff in the cup.you thinking of filling up the cup with something? guess it's too late to put something under the cubes.
maybe that could help wick the water from the cube
