True Confessions of an American Outlaw

Hahah same!
Grew up on 100 acres surrounded by another 1200 acres of farm land.

I’ve a few old sayings I used to hear. A couple I later learned had different meanings than what I understood them to be. 😳

When the river runs red, take the dirt road... 😉

How about that one?
Um no. That’s new…and a little gross. 🤣

More along the lines of; It’s colder than a witch’s tit.

Another that covers snotty noses and stiff dicks.

One that I didn’t get for years was; It’s not worth a pinch of coon shit.

Anyone that had these saying all died years ago. Just strange how things get started and then get lost in obscurity as the times change.

I don't know why I thought it was going to be blueberry related
Oh you know about the blueberries up here! Yeah it's a big thing here

There's an alternative answer to that, the Old Timer says: "you can't get there from here"

and there's some truth to that because from what I understand there's only a certain way you can drive 'downeast' into Bar Harbor
