Awesome but diabolical to make an odd count that forces the fight for the last one![]()
We grabbed Dairy Queen Blizzards the other night. Saw these were available and grabbed a box of each to help get through the week.

We have two locations that have been there my whole life. The further one serves burgers and hotdogs with fries. Funny what survives time and what fades away.

the poor man's blue bell!!!! hahahaha
IIRC they have been up here since the 1960s. I see the one closest to is all the time. The second once in a while when I’m going that way. Every once in a while we’ll see one in our travels. Haven’t had a meal at one since I was a kid but we do the ice cream yearly.I didn't know DQ was all the way up in Canada!
DQ is another Texas legend but there's two versions...DQ and Mayfield DQ.
The regular DQ is corporate and national and apparently even goes international!
Mayfield DQ's are in central Texas and there's only a few but they're a throwback to old school hospitality, local sourced fresh food, and people working there make a living wage.
If you ever see a DQ with an old red truck on display out front you're at a Mayfield and in for a treat!
