What's Cookin?

Dug thru the deep freeze looking for something but found other things and made a thing!;smoke
Still have several lbs of smoked & spiced apples and rhubarb and a box of puff pastry leftover from the holidays so I made a kind of cobbler.
Baked one sheet of pastry for a few minutes and the apple mix alongside it. Pulled the pastry and let the apple get hot then poured the apple on top of the prebaked pastry and covered it with the second sheet of pastry. Baked it for about 30 minutes then drizzled some ice cream caramel topping over the crust

i have no idea... this new CGI AI shit kinda has me pissed, i have no idea whats real and whats not. ya know i can spot a fake boob from a real boob like 99% accurate but i can't tell with these new videos!!!!

ya know there's gonna be a sad time where the saying "pics or it didn't happen" will be worthless..

our stupid society can not handle the power of AI just yet... it's gonna be the root to evil just like social media became.

I'd vote real because wild hogs are the most genius but dumbest fuckers out there.
Like dumb enough to get caught up in that, smart, or wily enough to survive it.
The messed up thing is that it's calling for it's pals and that's a street fight you don't wanna be in unless you have an AR15 or something to go semi auto.

AI and GenX is oil and vinegar man. We already don't trust shit then this comes along? Yeah right. Be a square dealer and straight shooter has always been my thing an AI is anti that.

I used to wait for the day that wild hogs would get up here. No way we could stop it without a border fence.

Now I’m not so sure I want to help deal with them. I love pork but these things are stupid tough and nasty. A stand is recommended rather than a blind. I’m a good shot but no one’s perfect.

Still, if the right opportunity came along…

Watching videos of chicks hitting gravity bongs is why I got back into them. Stoner chicks just know how to have some goofy fun like that there and IDK what it is about ladies and gravity bongs but something just happens.
Like even my wife had some sort of magnetic pull to it so I got us another that can go into hookah mode ;hookah

Most people have the wrong idea about feral hogs until they get up close. They're not wild boar which is good eating and they're not pork. They're pretty much an abomination that should not exist.
Like hoping for them to come around to me is like wanting rats to come live in the walls of your home and have some mean and viscous wild dog living out in the yard who attacks you and your pets every time you walk outside. And if it's not attacking you, it's tearing up your land and killing livestock.

I'd compare the meat to dog more than pork. Even the carcass is more like a dog from what I remember of the dog butcher shops in Korea. You could hang a feral hog in that butcher shop window and not know the difference between it and the dogs.
The backstrap is good eating but it's not like it's a delicacy or anything. It's the one cut worth eating after a long day hunting and killing the things.
The old way of hunting them is going away though and they're getting better results using trapping pens then you can get 20-50 at a time.

last night we watched the movie life with eddie murphy and martin lawrence and it made me hungry for corn bread. and you know what goes good with cornbread... chili!!!!

with beans!!!

I miss corn bread. No one alive makes it anymore. We tried buying the ingredients but it doesn’t taste the same. I like the cakey type or sweet muffins the best. Been decades since I’ve had it like that.

give my recipe a try man... it's very easy and comes out like the cake type you like!!! you probably want to add a little sugar, i'm diabetic so none for me..

1.5 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
i Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk ( i don't buy buttermilk, i just use 1.5 cups of milk and add a squirt of lemon juice in the mix, same as buttermilk)
3/4 stick of melted butter
1/2 cup of whole corn

put a cast iron pan in the oven to get hot then mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and pour the batter into the hot pan and set it in the oven. takes about 20 minutes or so...
