What's Cookin?

This looks so good. Every time I try to make something like this I can never find the right ingredients in this area. The andouille sausage is always the one ingredient I can never find unless I drive an hour or order it online
I get Louisana style Adouille in town but it is not primo.
 
I feel like such a fat boy today. My smoker hasn’t been working so I couldn’t make my usual bbq for football playoff games so I ended up grabbing a carvel ice cream cake, well I also grabbed a half oz of Mac 1 which induced major munchies and I completely devoured an entire ice cream cake this past weekend. Time to hit the treadmill

I had one last year, it was good but I definitely prefer a regular ice cream cake. Friendly's makes a good one too 🔥

Speaking of pizza...Here's my heart healthy concoction from last night.
I used a fresh never frozen take & bake cheese pie from the grocery store then topped it with green and yellow squash, tomato, onion, & green pepper with xtra fat free cheese to melt it all in together. Came out super tasty!

We got hold of a nice French loaf the other day for garlic cheese bread in the oven to go with some spaghetti. Wife added Italian sausage cut into large coins. Nice change.

Tomorrow is shopping day so we’ll see what’s on sale for ideas. We are at that need something different tonight stage. Has to be reasonable amount of prep time and not too complicated.

I’m the fussiest eater, sons the easiest to please, wifes in the middle and the usual cook.

We’ve been doing more stews, potato soup, oatmeal… I see a pattern. Warm foods that stick to your belly. 🥶

Hope you guys like it! I use a little less stew beef, a little more beef broth and substitute a couple tablespoons of tomato paste for the red wine

She was going to try it tonight but we didn’t have quite everything. But the biggest issue was time. Needs about 2 hours start to finish. Next time.
