-Separating my grow diary from my other diary which has turned into pictures of deer and wood fires-

Some of my readings were so off the chart and different from each other that I feel I need to condense this grow to keep a better eye on it

First heavy flush 11/12

One plant was 778 PPM and Below 6.0 pH on my aquarium drops scale

Another was 1138 PPM and also below 6.0 pH

And the rest were between 325 and 375 PPM at 6.4 - 6.6 pH, which I consider normal.

Until the last watering, all plants had been fed the same thing at the same time, MasterBlend at 500-550 PPM and 6.8 pH

The two plants that had the abnormal readings were watered separately from the rest last watering, and I'm not sure what I did wrong but I think that feeding was what caused the abnormal readings

So anyway they've been flushed, they're all about 350 - 400 PPM at 6.4 - 6.6 pH now

Friday my GH Micro will come and I'm going to switch them over to that per directions, I used that for years, I still have a couple almost full gallons here

The reason I'm switching is I'm having crazy readings with Masterblend and I don't have time nor desire to figure out why right now20251112_062831.jpg20251112_070332.jpg

I've seen your feeding schedule before, a little too complicated for me (I'm still trying to figure out that whole radiator thing🤔) I'm just going to go with basic ratios on the bottle and I've got a little Cali mag here if I need it but thanks anyway!

How's the cat doing? I hope better, if not probably time for blood test. Last time I had blood tests on my cat it was over $300 if you can believe it !!!

Edit: I think the bill included the office visit though

I tried Afgooey with a zero percent germination rate - whole pack of 5 were duds - reached out to GH and never heard back, removed them from my list of trusted companies to purchase from. The Rhino and Cheese were 100%
Have you grown their cheese before or is this your first time with it?

I've heard good things about this method, was planning on trying it on a future grow

It's been over 5 years since I've used GH but I do recall from those days that everyone who used it liked it.

I almost tried it back then but I had gallons of all three so I stayed with the basic recipe

Qnights about the same....Vet called today, we're just keeping an eye on him, hes still hiding a lot

Micro first, then Grow, then Bloom,& Diamond Nectar at 2 ml/gal each 2/2/2/2.....M/G/B/DN of veg and upping the numbers /week. to a max of 5/5/5/4 until I flip them.

2nd week of flower I start adding KoolBloom liquid at) 1/2 dose first week I add it) and up my bloom a bit to 7 ml/gal for numbers 5/5/5/7/2.5/

I start with cal/mag to be mixed in first at 5ml/gal on the 3rd week of flower so 5/4/4/8/5/4 for Cal/mag/micro/grow/ bloom/Koolbloom/Diamond nectar.

At weeks 6 - 9 in flower I drop Koolbloom liquid and start with Koolbloom dry at 1/4 tsp/gal so my mix is 5/3/3/8/1/4tspKB/4

Aft week 9 I taper off 4/2/2/6/2 I drop the koolbloom dry - 2/1/1/4/2 -1/1/1/1/......as per my graph then if there's any still standing I'LL run flurokleen through Until I pull them all

Now this is all me it may not work same with your water. I've played with the numbers but its basically whats on the bottles & feed charts except for decimal numbers in feed

I knew there was a certain order, thanks for posting it

As for the rest I'm doing this to simplify things so I am not going to do any of that 🤣 I'm mixing straight from the label, but thank you for posting that!

I'm guessing the vet checked the cats teeth, right?

Yes that was one of the first things they looked at. Cats do get seasonal depressions according to the vet, winter and Spring she said were the times most associated with it. The day we had him out and it was grey and dreary this started. Its almost like hes crying at times. can't find any pain spots and other than being down hes not sick, no temperature, hes not dehydrated. Hes lost weight this week almost 1/2 lb cause hes not eating enough. I tried to take him down here with me last night and he went and hid.....not like him at all.

That's why I took my cat to the vet, she gets Moody in Spring and fall. I can't remember which it was but she was just laying there and I thought I'd better have her checked out

I've never tried it I had a guru a long time ago that got me started and he used all 3 M/G/B I've added the rest, 1 by 1

Yes hes up on my wifes legs now sleeping, she's trapped. He got up after some encouragement and seems a bit perkier. I hope. I was going to bring him down with me but Coal wanted to come and Qnight was sleeping , Coals easy, a 20lb harbor seal with legs, walks with me like a puppy

Update: 11/17

Switched feed to GH Flora series

Added 3ml silicone first

Mixed according to bottle for "transition to bloom" at 2 teaspoons of each

Gave me over 1,700 PPM 🚩

Cut it three to one for 600 ppm

pH was 6.7 with no adjustment

Tomorrow switching MH bulb to HPS

Are you measuring the run off ppm out of a "organic soil mix"?

That would explain "high" ppms'.
Followed 'Transition To Bloom', adding 2 teaspoons (not tablespoons) of each per gallon of water

The ppm was sky-high, diluted it with two parts of water to one part of solution down to 600ppm

I don't get it, if I used it as directed I would have killed my plants

I'm going to ask pipe carver about it later because he uses it

No. I followed the GH label exactly. two teaspoons each of micro, grow and Flora into one gallon water (@130ppm) gave me over 1,700 PPM
Hey, 2 tsp = 10 ml. I never ever give 10 ml of anything to my plants, even bloom in flower only gets 8ml/gal ( 1.5tsp) Plants your size could be at 3-4 ml/gal....I think that aggressive growth must be when they are far older than what you have there. I can never see a need for 15ml/Micro/gal.

I just fed yesterday 2/2/2ml/gal for 3 week old plants. Micro/grow/bloom + 1ml Flurolicous Plus/gal My next feed will be 3/3/3/1 - Then I'll transplant to Autopots and feed 4/4/4/4---Switching to Diamond Nectar ( cleaner than Flurolicious Plus through my valves )

I'll have to check my bottles when I get down stairs later to compare. I'm surprised at those numbers on your labels. I don't remember ever feeding so heavy.

Right! 😬 As soon as I took the reading I had to look at the bottle again! That would have killed somebody's plants if they didn't have the meter and just went by the recommendations on the bottle!

I don't think I've ever fed above 1000ppm, and that was only one particular strain that was a heavy feeder

But cutting it 2 to 1 with tap water it comes out a perfect 6.7 at 600 PPM, so it worked out well. I'll mix it like that and just keep cutting it to where I want it

Update: 2 weeks in bloom today, stretch seems to be over, they should stack nicely

Feeding at 625 ppm/500 scale

View attachment 118691View attachment 118692
2 weeks into flower? They're not done stretching yet then, almost 4 weeks, 3 weeks before stems start to harden up. I can't turn on my far reds until after stretching is done at 5 weeks...just saying, I thinks they've more to go. Looking good though, everything is healthy looking

Yeah they'll stretch a little more but they won't get much taller than that

Next feeding they get bamboo sticks and string for support

I don't recall White Rhino being heavy feeders, I think 650ppm will be as strong as I go
