20260915: Gorilla Blue #4


The smaller plant started to grow but then switched to flower. Maybe jumping from 12/12 to 18/6 again did something?








Sons plants are still hanging in there. We bumped the Sensi Cal Mag Xtra up to 17ml per 7L jug for the GG#4 as it’s fan leaves are fading. IIRC he’s on day 43 after flip.

Well it turns out that half dead seedling I saved from the worm bin was a male. Too bad as it was a tough plant. I literally left it to fend for itself with minimal food and waterings. It even grew behind the window shade to get more light.



It’s been plucked, tossed, and soil reclaimed for next years outdoor garden.

Need to look up how many days they’ve been in flower. I made a note of it but haven’t tracked the days yet.





Sons SB#22 & GG#4 are coming along. Luckily I noted when his were flipped since he forgot to note it. Day 45 since 12/12 today.



The GG#4 is the loudest smelling right now. Hits you right in the face when you open the basement door.

Temperatures have been dropping fast the last week. They still can’t get two days in a row correct though.

It’s cold today, over night was 12*. Tomorrow it’s going to be a high of 16* and 9* over night. I’m still not ready yet.

The vegetable garden is half empty now that we’ve harvested cauliflower and corn along with tomatoes and cucumbers.








Tomatoes are ripening slowly now, maybe because of the cooler temperatures.

The Gorilla Blue #4 is coming along. The smaller plant is filling in and the larger is getting chubbier.






Sons plants are chubbing up as well but the branches are falling over. I’ve used s hooks to help and a yo-yo or two but he’s going to have to do the rest. Not my grow.

Played our first league games last night. Did okay but my opponents were two and three levels above me so I only won a couple. Still had fun but I’m expecting to do better next time now that I know what to expect and who my team members are. I didn’t know we did both 8 & 9 ball. No one told me the rules for 9 ball so it was a surprise that you can sink the 9 using the current object ball in play. They aren’t very organized but it’s the first day so we’ll give it another go next week.

I put my feed formula my soil and fed it to google for advice. It gave me some good info....I think.....said to cut back my grow nute almost completely at 5 weeks in flower. I've been giving 3/ml/gal through to 6-7 weeks. It keeps my leaves green but google says it will make my bud harsher and admittedly my leaves do look a bit too dark and there's far too much foliage this late in flower.

It also said that the Diamond Nectar I use in the Autopots can causes clogged lines because apparently its organic????? I'm sure General Hydroponics them selves recommended it to me over Flurolicious Plus I was using in soil before the Autopots. Google now says I should top dress with it only....I do get some sludge I though was just from chelation of the nutes I use. That will help. I have a brand new gallon of the stuff unopened. I hate to hear I can no longer use it as I have but I guess I'd rather have cleaner lines than I have over the past few years.

I learned on snooker because the 8 & 9 ball tables were always in use. 8 ball I would occasionally play downtown in bars after work but otherwise I hadn’t played in 35+ years. I could count on one hand how many times I played 9 ball. It was always snooker or 8 ball.

Most of my issue was nerves from a dozen people watching me and hitting to hard. I’ll do better next time now that I’ve seen the others play and it’s more comfortable.

I need to practice on 7’ tables, we always choose 9’. My bank shots are off do to the change and they only play on the 7’.

I was a little ticked that I told them I hadn’t played in so long and didn’t know 9 ball rules and I lost my last game because the object ball was used to sink the 9. I thought it would be like 8 ball and a scratch. Nope. You can sink the 9 and win at any time as long as the object ball is struck first.

Also got a surprise that the $20 a night was an estimate, depends how much you play, and it’s $33.90each membership fee. So night one cost $45 for the both of us to play 15-20 rounds total and $67.80 membership and $45 for four beers with tip. So $160 for the night. Should be half that next time.

Need to practice by Saturday.

Oh yes I hear you on that but what it said wasn't a dramatic change and supported the ideas with information. If I can stop the chetating I'm getting by top dressing I can do that and cutting back on nitrogen late in flower is supported everywhere I've just been stuck with what I thought was success but I can tweak without doing any harm....I like what Diamond Nectar and Flurolicious plus did and I want to keep using it so I'll top dress, I'll need a wand to get to the back pots...amzone here I come.

Not that I recall. But this was all back when I was 22 or younger.

The more we play the more I remember. I now know why I do some things others don’t is because I do it like snooker players. Like stance.

I can’t do the cue behind the back anymore. Too much belly and a bad back these days. Funny how I remember doing that but when I try now it just doesn’t work.

A lot of home tables had short cues when I was a kid. Otherwise one corner or a row of windows would be in the way.

My son found a good pair of shoes for support and foot pain issues. So I grabbed a pair the next day. Sketchers suck but so far these Hoka Transport 2 are good. No foot, ankle tendon, or additional back pain after a week of use. That should help a lot with pool.

When you get the wand make sure you use it enough to drain the battery at least a few times before the return period ends. My battery died and wouldn’t charge any longer. I got my money back but haven’t gotten around to breaking open the case to see if I can replace the battery.

I’ve got two of these I don’t use anymore. One had the bottom rubber flap rip off so it no longer works.

I really liked the electric one. It watered fast enough that it was quick but slow enough it didn’t pool on top. I really need to see if I can fix it or get a replacement. I just don’t have great luck with Amazon. My shit just comes damaged or doesn’t last.

Next time you grow autos in a tent set light at highest possable height let it reach to the light it will stretch

I just ordered a Vornado electric heater. It should get us by for another few weeks. I googled about heating costs and above $1.50/litre heating with electricity makes more cents than with oil...its now $2.10/litre + 14% tax for home heating oil. This little space heater should keep the cats warm enough at night.

My dehue is running 24/7 non stop to keep me at 60% ish , its raining and my drainage trough around the basement is wet along with a tent full its hard to get it down as I progress into flower I'll have to turn on my back up dehue to get me into the 50's

Our maple tree and most of the neighbouring maple trees started losing leaves a month ago. But just the maple trees. News mentioned it one day so it must be across the city but I didn’t catch why it was so early. Maybe has to do with that black circle fungus that’s been spreading.

I did. But I shouldn’t have left them in with my sons plants. They crowded it out. Then flipping to 12/12 didn’t help.

The small section I moved them too has the lights at the ceiling already but they took a bit to adjust.

Next time I’ll do them alone and leave it 18/6.

We have two of these for when we need an area kept warm but the furnace is off or set lower. Black one upstairs and a white one downstairs. Oil filled radiators.

This is when the grow lights help keep the basement a bit warmer.

I’m doing similar. Dehumidifier on until the lights come on to keep RH in the 50’s. Other wise at lights out or humid/damp days it shoots way up.

Had to leave the AC on the last two weeks to help remove humidity as well. It’s been 80%RH outside and rain once or twice. It’s 65%RH outside this morning but has that damp chill.

I use one of those in my 5x5 but its not big enough to do our living room. My cats are cold at night, I have Dusky sleeping on me and Coal sleeps with my wife along side us, Qnighty boy snuggles himself into my wife''s recliner and we tuck a blanket around him. It got down to 45f last night poor boys haven't grown their winter fur yet. It went from 80f - 50f too fast for all of us.

We are debating going to the theatre to watch this movie. Between DL and streaming we haven’t been to a theatre in decades.


Seems that death day web site might be right… think it said I have until 65. Doc said my BP was 184/96 and that it’s not a good thing. Said I need to get a BP monitor so I had my son order one I found on Amazon.
It’s got a Bluetooth app which I’ll probably use, WiFi I avoid. It should arrive today.

I don't think having some bot tell you when you are going to croak is a good idea. It will put a thought in your head you can't get out and feed into your psyche, counting down the days...No fkin way I want that over my head......65?????
