Hope you and yours are on the other side of that illness. The south side of the border is... well.
For the most part yes. We’ve been fighting a flu or cold since a week before Christmas. That or we caught more than one bug.

Other than an annoying chest phlegm that never seems to go away we are much better, just extremely tired all the time.

We don't talk about that. Flowers look to be coming in. Hope for a bit more stretch, don't think I'm gonna get it, though.
You should get a bit more. Looks like it’s going to be a nice even grow. 👊👍

Just a bud shot update.

Very nice. a good variety too. I'm trying to run less strains at a time now. With the Autopots all feeding the same I can't adjust for individual plants needs, This last run my Strawberry Purps needed a different feed than the rest but I was stuck. It looks like you managed to pull it off with your variety. What week are you at in flower? Looks close on all.

I’m having problems but I’ll make it to the finish line okay I think. I only planned to do two strains but then I was gifted two more. That changed my plans, timeline and strategy a bit. 🤣

I usually only do one strain or two at most. So much easier. But I need to either flip sooner or just have shorter plants before flip.

I started at T-68 and today is T-7. We’ll be checking the trichomes tonight or tomorrow. 🤞

I’ve got a few clones I’ll have to toss or give away. Planning to keep GG#4, SB#22 & GM. I don’t have any seeds for them so can’t let them go yet. Haven’t even tried them so I don’t want to loose a winner.

GGB#4 looks great but I have a few seeds left of that strain.

We’ll be checking trichomes tonight after lights on. Got to remember to charge it. 🤔

Lights about to go out…IMG_8899.jpeg

So many different aromas. Not as heavy a harvest but a good one I think.IMG_8897.jpeg
IMG_8898.jpeg

Someone got real tired after playing in the snow today. 😝IMG_8895.jpeg

Some bad news. The battery powered spray wand started to fail this week. It went from watering approximately 65 litres before needing a recharge to dying after 4.5 litres. This started Monday and repeated again yesterday. I tried charging with a different charger but the same result even after leaving plugged in for a day. This is the main reason I don’t like Amazon. And now I don’t even know if I can get my money back. Where as a store front would make it right if only to get rid of me. Guess we’ll see when my sons home from work. 😞

Those last 2 bud pics look pretty good to me.

Not ready yet but we saw a few amber just to much clear right now. We’ll try again next Friday/Saturday.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Cars power steering, EPS actually, was working Saturday. All we did was start the car. Light was out. We let it warm up and wife went to the nearest grocery store. No issues. She went to a second and still no issues. She didn’t want to push her luck so came home after that.

Sunday morning she tried to go out and the light came back on right after she turned onto the street. After she went into park the lights went out. Back in gear the light came back on but with the battery light this time. Later the battery light didn’t return just the EPS. Then after backing up into the driveway the light was gone.

So it’s looking like a battery issue most likely. No squealing so probably not the belt. I’ll dig out my tester and/or charger and see what it has to say.

Keep warm peoples. 🥶

Bad ground? the short fat wire from the - post on battery to its connection on the frame. Both ends sometimes need good cleaning. With a bad ground all sorts of elect problems can happen.

Dry 3 and fuse held.....

We are supposed to get hit hard with snow tonight, nothing yet but its in the air, clouds are low and I can smell it on the way.

What was the fix?
I replaced the receptacle, dry 4 going in now,the old receptacle looks fine, test fine, no smell or soot marks indicating a short. It didn't get damaged or moved...it just failed???? weird but I'm dam glad its finely holding . I've seen receptacles fail in the past but they've been damaged or busted pins, lose wires but just fail???? No bakelite smell, wires were tight I mean wtf...right

I guess potentially a bent or misaligned contact point maybe? Manufacturing defect? Poor connection boosting the amp draw when the dry cycle hits?

Is it on a weird spot to reach where you gotta plug it in kinda blind and give it a good smack? 🤣

It was most likely the original plug, must be 60 years old. It started to blow fuses a few months ago, there were no changes in anything. The dryer was only 2 years old so the plug worked fine for 24 months after plugging in the new dryer then all of a sudden for no apparent reason it starts to fail after about 15 -20 min of using the dryer????...next thing was swapping out the #10

A while back I had a similar issue. Lost an entire leg of a circuit out of nowhere. Turned out to be a failed receptacle that was feeding a branch off the main circuit leg with no visible indication of why it failed. Figured it was probably just its time -- 50 years of service and it silently called it quits.

Was super frustrating for like a week -- sometimes all the lights would work off of that branch, sometimes only one, and sometimes none, then it finally became just none, ever. Originally thought it was the switch being on the fritz (kind of expected in a bathroom, at the moment) but after tracing wires and watching for where voltage stopped flowing, was able to determine it was that receptacle.

Strangest electrical issue we had was losing power intermittently. Wasn’t even the whole house most if the time. After days, weeks actually, of checking things after work I was finally able to figure it out. I was outside sitting on the front stoop on a windy day. I noticed the main line going to our pole was swinging from the wind. When I went back inside the stove and microwave needed the clicks reset. A few other things had lost power while I was outside. The next time we had issues I went outside and watched the line. My wife was watching the stove and microwave. It was real winding with high gusts. Every time it blew hard the wire would rock and my wife would yell it did it again.

Called the hydro company and in minutes they came and had a look. He went up in a cherry picker and found the line was almost off. In fact he said it came off in his hand as soon as he touched it.

They are forever making changes and additions around here and when they moved our line from the Main Street to the side street they must not have clamped it down hard enough. It’s been fine ever since but they still make changes and move things around without a warning or notice.

Glad you got it fixed Pipe. I hope you can do something with the extra dryer. 🤞👊

You know shit happens. Try not to let it get to you. I’ve got my own dryer sitting under a tarp on my basement sidewalk. Needs a belt and new cable. Lightning strike killed the receptacle and cord.

Receptacle was replaced. I took a power cord off my other dryer. But need a belt. Not sure if the dryer even works now that it’s sat outside for a year.

I opened my garage door this am and the cable /chain fell off. no big deal I reattached, now I can't get the fkin thing to close right, I said fk it, came in and now having a few smokes, I'll get out there and see wtf is wrong now. I'm also having some problems getting enough healthy sprouts, 1 seed didn't crack and 2 that are up are deformed, one should make it but the other is sad looking with a single second leaf. I dropped another and have it in towels now

Your in the middle of the last wave of cold and snow we had iirc. I’ve stopped trying to pop seeds before March unless desperate. Clones I can still do, they just take longer if really cold.

Seems you have my luck lately. Sorry bud. Didn’t know it was contagious. 😞

Scoping again Friday/Saturday. Think I’m getting allergies. Nose runs and eyes sting when I water or cleanup the plants.IMG_8947.jpegIMG_8948.jpeg

Family is pretty much over whatever bug we caught. Some chest phlegm and nose seems to always run a little. We’re just tired all the time.

Here’s hoping they finish by the weekend so we can chop and hang them. 🤞

Have a good everybody. 👊

Hey, beauties buds & nice leaf colour still. I like that, I see a lot of plants with dead leaves near the end and that doesn't need to happen....Obviously....to me, fading is one thing but yellow dying crispy is another. I think some cut nitrogen either completely or by too much too early. That graph I use shows all nutes tapering off together over the last weeks. I've cut my numbers too early and got the crispy yellow leaves in the past I find if I drop below 3ml/gal Grow & Micro the yellowing starts. Healthy leaves = Healthy buds when leaves are crispy or all yellowed up they can't absorb the light energy and too me that means keep feeding them so they don't lose colour until you want them to......anyways that's my spiel about keeping pretty leaves pretty for this morning.......Cary on as if I were normal....

It’s okay but not my best run. The high humidity, really cold days, and too many large plants for the space have made things difficult. Any leaf that rubs or touches the tent sides gets mucked up fingers.

The Woohoo fans are too strong and seem to dry out the leaves as well.

I’ve been getting some like this the last few weeks. I just pluck them when they get bad.
IMG_8987.jpeg

I’m sure I cut down on the N too soon. Every other grow I get it wrong. After week four of flower is when I know if I screwed up or not.

This is my first run with the dry nutes so I think I did okay but definitely could do better. Live and learn.

Really depressed these days. Everything is going to shit and breaking. City water is being stupid again. And the city bus shelter plows filled 1/3 of my driveway with snow as filled the area we put our snow. Good news was I ran out this morning in my PJs at 5:45am to ask the plow guy who paused if he would please get someone to move it. He was an older guy about my age and after a bit said okay. Turns out he did it himself. His truck was the big snow thrower that gets rid of the curb mounds buy throwing it into a bunch of dump trucks. Best thing to happen in a while. 🙂

After a bunch of testing and charging it seems the battery is the problem with the EPS. Car wouldn’t start yesterday when I started to work on it. Charged it up and it started first try and EPS worked fine. But after turning it off it was to weak to start the car again. It almost looks like something is draining the battery as the meter shows the volts drop pretty quick when the charger is removed. When my son got home I had him turn it over and the voltage finally hit a low number 9.99v. Should be above 10v. All the rest of the numbers where good. 12.45v sitting. 14.57v running.

So today I need to find and bus to Canadian Tire that has a battery. We are appointments and groceries to get.

I just want to go back to bed. But that’s not going to help. Have to keep trying.

Family is so tired we crash around 9pm but keep waking around 3-4am. Poor dog isn’t able to get her sleep trying to stay up with me.

Ah well. The snow piles gone. It’s a start. Hope that guy has a great day, he helped make mine better.

L8r peeps. 😴

Its February, for me the worst month of the year, cold, short, grey, bills all come in, add a car problem, dryer blowing fuses or illness I'm a bit surprised I'm not jumping off a high bridge each year Feb comes around . Costco run today with snow supposed to start around 3pm, should be a fun drive home.

Yep, same here. Also car insurance is due every January. California Dreaming by the Beach Boys running through my head. Lol

We’d just break our back or neck but have to live through it. Wife doesn’t need that so we better not.

I swapped the car battery yesterday. Only tested it twice but it seems fine. Hits 10.4v when it’s turned over so we’ll see. Groceries today will be the real test. -20* at 5:30am no idea what the wind chill is. 🤞

Really hope they are ready by the 14th. Wonder if my wife would find trimming romantic?

I had to charge the new battery but since then the cars been working, for one day without issue. We waited until it was warmer than -15* just in case. Got laundry done along with some shopping. I still need to hit a post office this week.

It’s -17.2*c this morning before WC. Supposed to get warmer and back to typical this week.

Keep warm people. 🔥👊

I admit I’m getting a little impatient. It’s been 72 days since flip. 69 to 79 days is the usual window for my harvests. As Pipecarver notes day 77 seems to be golden.

As of the weekend all nutrients are stopped, just water until harvest. If I can I’ll time it so the pots are almost dry. Makes it easier to reclaim the soil of its dry.

Snowed over night and still going. Only -5* ATM but supposed to go to 1*. No minus!!

Going to see if the car EPS & battery are still good by taking a trip to the real post office this afternoon. Snows supposed to turn to rain by then.

Yes I'm done as well, Chop some maybe, today = 9 weeks, a bit early but I've been running my reds and plants are hanging over and looking close. I'm not going to make 77 days. 63 -65. Now I gotta get my dry box running.

Chopped Zen 1 before bed yesterday. IMG_9081.jpeg

Plucked a bunch of fan leaves this morning.IMG_9083.jpeg

I’ll finish the one on the left after coffee.

The GG#4 and Sherbanger #22 should be done next weekend.

The reek of these ladies is so strong my eyes water when plucking leaves. I’ll take that as a good sign.

I left a bunch of larf so I can try out the tumbler for the first time. It’s cold enough I can run it in the mud room/foyer.

Still tired from last night. Hope everyone had a good Valentine’s Day. 💕🍆

Other than final weight it’s all done for the Winter 2025 Grow. The three on the right were added. Three on the left are almost ready to jar. Hard to say with the up/down weather.

Thanks for following along and sharing ideas and encouragement. 👊

Wife and I trimmed the GGB#4 last night and today. 160g total for the two plants. Usually the jars are a bit heavier but it’s a good weight. We haven’t done any sampling yet. We got a little finger hash ball off the snips. Looking forward to that later.

One Grease Monkey is ready to trim while the other still has a week to go. They seem to be the biggest buds but the scale will tell the tale.

Until next weeks trim report enjoy the weekend. 👊💨

Almost forgot, we got 11g of kief from just sugar leaves tumbling for about an hour. 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off for four runs.IMG_9211.jpeg

Using the mud room this morning as it’s not heated and -12.5* this morning.IMG_9214.jpeg

Burping jars once a day for 5-10 minutes. Hygrometer says they are at 54RH and 64f. They sure do reek. 😝

Hey, very nice! Tumbling for about an hour???? in what? Did you make a tumbler? I don't think I've seen that. Have you posted pics of it? I usually just toss my leaves from the first trimming of the larger ones,. I have mailed some to a friend who wanted them for tea but the rest get tossed. If I had a tumbler that might change things up a bit but what I've seen for tumblers online has been too expensive for me. Same as your trim bin, I just can't justify the $100 tax in that they cost.....I need another big casino win for some lose cash. Fkin dryer took care of what I had.
