I let the seeds sit in the shotglass of water overnight and they all quickly sank to the bottom with a gentle tap this morning. Perfecto

I dont really like the paper towel thing, but I still don't have any media to plant these in yet. So for now, damp paper towel it is. On a plate, inside a zip lock bag on top of the fridge.
I'll grab something to stick them in today. Not sure yet if I'll get rapid rooters? or just plant into a pro-mix seed starter mix. Decide when I get to the hydro store.

it’s funny when you grow a same strain indoors that has a more calyx to leaf ratio ,throw it outdoors and it grows leafier.i love outdoor grown.down here on Gilligans island is perfect to grow cannabis.can’t grow the longer flowering sativas though..if I bring mine up early indoors to give them a better start (first month) when they go out they will start to flower.so I just throw them straight outside amongst the elements.first month is slow af but after that ..Whoosh..what pot size you going.

4 star General was one of the other cuts I had going.
Pot size, don't know yet. I'll start them in 1 gal until they're big enough to pull cuttings from to sex them, then keepers will go into bigger pots, either 5 or 10 gal, not sure. I prefer 3 gal for indoor, but outdoors I find the bigger the better. But I'd still probably have to move them into the shed to finish, so not sure I want to be dealing with 10 gallon pots at that point.

I kinda wish I had left mine in the paper towel long enough to see tails. I planted them before any of them cracked because I hate when the roots get stuck in the PT.
But now I'm playing the waiting game to see what sprouts, and its Killin me. So far nothing has broken the surface.

I use really shitty paper towels I buy from the .99 store and just tear away whatever part of the towel doesn't have any roots in it and plant the rest. The shittier the paper towel the better. I've been thinking TP might be even better but that stuff would probably fall apart in your hands once it gets wet.

agree with bigger pots outside..I have a couple I was just going to pollen chuck some seeds with in 4 gals in coco/perlite and they are absolutely packed rock hard and takes for ever for there feedt to sink in.soil is better but still that packs up aswell.i even planted some late nov early dec so they keep small but that never worked lol.feeding 3 times a day too.I’ve had to up pot one into an 7-8 gal.pots are buried level with the ground .stops the pot getting too hot and drying out too quick..

Hey, DB glad to see you back in town, Have you ever used the Auto Pots? I think they're based in Victoria. Anyways they are too much for tents and out grow them to fast to be able to take advantage of the growth we get out of them...just a thought outside they could explode under the right conditions...lights out gotta go.

Seen older versions but looked into it more, seems like a nice bottom feed set and forget type system.
Gotta get these seeds to sprout before I get ahead of myself. So far, 0/12 cracked. Getting a wee bit concerned.

I dropped 6 garlic stash v21, none cracked so I cracked them with my teeth and planted them....
Nothing yet but it's only been 24 hours in soil.

I wish I could help my growmie who is so "cheap" he won't cool his house and grows outdoor if nothin else is going for him but he grows in 1 gal on top the Earth with coco no less. Some people you just can't help, I'd go 15 gal buried. SS

Once they start feeding from the trays they almost burst at the seems with rapid growth and stalk thickening. I have to flip within 2 weeks of starting them up. A couple of the large pots outside could grow monsters......just a thought...I'd like to see what they could do when height restrictions aren't limited to a tents size and I think your the kinda guy that could get the max out of them......might need a chain saw at the end of the plants life though

I'm kinda stumped, they're 3 years old but have been kept in a cool spot in my basement. Wondering if they got excessively hot during shipping or something? Either way that kinda sucks and doesn't bode well for my Dragons flame stash. I've got 5 other packs here that I'm now doubtful will germinate.

I know your new here and If you need a hand with germination techniques there are a few folks here that can help.....lol....you need a ...Vertical Germinator a 3D printed wonder box that pops seeds straight up so planting is a breeze....you may have to make friends with the right folks but if you keep your eye out for them, they are the go to germinating tool found only here at the club.....lol

Tempted. I probably will just to see what happens but I recieved all the seed packs in the same delivery. 0/24 so far isn't a good indication that the rest will do any better. Only thing I can think of is these must have experienced some kinda catastrophic heat exposure in delivery or something. Or they were intercepted and irradiated haha. But that's probably just my tinfoil being done up a bit too tight.

Well you've been away for a while I thought you may want the latest gadgets. I don't know if your aware of this at all but to be in the Cool club you have to use the smoking tips. I bought a pack used them twice....I just don't fit in I guess.

Switching gears to a new plan. Seeing as our season is so short here, I'm going to give autoflowers a shot.

@Mr.GreenthumbOG was kind enough to send me a few lemon pie autos and a sample of his latest crop, (fucking deadly pot btw MrG!) And another buddy of mine contributed UK cheese and Ultra Mass autos.
Should be interesting! But I'm going to wait a couple weeks until we get into some consistently nicer weather to rock these.

that suxs man..when they don’t show themselves to me within 24 hrs after being dunked in glass of water I plant them along with the rest.anyway..those must of been tough nuts to crack or rooted right from the start.you have a short summer bud going with autos..

You mentioned the weter and where I am weather is wild, 55f to82f, I hate winter for this, and I've had PPB X Wilson not pop, some of DFG too. I blame myself and this weather together. Tomorrow is the 1st. day of Spring so I am opmistic. SS

I think I'll probably wait until we have temps in the high teens before I get them going, but I'll start them in solos or similar small pots, then ill put em into 3 gallon pots of promix. Tentative game plan lol.
I have a nice sunny spot in the front yard to grow them. Probably put them in the shed for the last week of flowering so I can run the AC and drop temps on them before chop.

@2 weeks I upped them to 3 g.
When they were done I could pull the solo cup of roots out of the 3g~!
Since then I believe that if the roots hit a stop they are done.

The final container planting is a myth, you maybe had problems with letting it get too root bound in a solo, and not massaging the roots into their new pot. Once roots circle tight, they need some human manipulation. Autos can be finicky tho, hard the predict how the ruderalis inbreeding will behave.
