Shakin' off the rust

I didn't get to see that show but I did get to see them at the Offramp in Seattle in July/1990. I also got to see them in L.A. when White Zombie opened for them. Got to meet them through Christ Novoselic from NIrvana.

I'd give my left nut to go back in time and hang out with Layne and Mike Starr back in the early 90's. That's awesome man!

Nice work man. Always nice to have tools on hand that make the job go smooth.

I'm getting blazed as fuck and making super poutine for 420 dinner with curds, jalapeño jack, homemade bacon bits, green onion and chives. Gonna get fat tonight!

Well... 8 days and no german nation. Seeds are starting to develop a touch of mold on them, so I guess that's that for the dragons flame stash. View attachment 50322

Switching gears to a new plan. Seeing as our season is so short here, I'm going to give autoflowers a shot.

@Mr.GreenthumbOG was kind enough to send me a few lemon pie autos and a sample of his latest crop, (fucking deadly pot btw MrG!) And another buddy of mine contributed UK cheese and Ultra Mass autos.
Should be interesting! But I'm going to wait a couple weeks until we get into some consistently nicer weather to rock these.
Nice to know they're all female! Haha.View attachment 50323
Why do you think this happened? Shocked that not even one of em germed. I never fk around with paper towel method, shot glass method, etc. I just stick em in some soil and let em go, more natural than the other methods imo. So far I have had pretty good germ rates this way. Either way...I think this auto grow will be epic! No more worrying about late season weather cuz they will be done in no time :D. Im partial to cheese strains so Im curious to see how that one turns out.

I'm not sure man, they weren't that old and they were kept in a cool spot. Thinking they must have got really hot during shipping or something. Including the seeds I gave to a friend, 0/36 germinated, so something must have happened to completely sterilize them.

I talked to Jeff on discord about the Garlic Stash cause I had similar issues. He said anything crossed to Dragons Stash was made outside in Oregon and the shells are super thick.
I had to take the garlic stash seeds and crack them with my teeth and then all of them grew, but prior to that, it was dud after dud after dud.

That's bizarre. I've never had problems getting his seeds to germinate before and a bunch of it was dragons crosses. But who knows.. find it weird though.

So cute when they're young. 4 of them are up with open cotyledons, 2 have their first set of true leaves out. Just waiting on one cheese and one lemon pie to shed their shell.

Just giving them minimal water at the moment, but I'll likely soak the cups in the next couple days.

Super stealth grow! Backlit computer monitor? Seems legit, no way anyone would suspect the jungle that exists behind my work station. Lol.

Gave them their first full watering today. One of the lemon pie just broke the surface and then died sadly, RIP lemon pie. And one of the cheese is frozen at the cotyledon stage for some odd reason. Funky bean.
The other 2 ultra mass, 1 cheese and 1 lemon pie are doing as good as can be expected for my shamefully half assed approach to growing cannabis. Couple more weeks and I'll start getting them used to the great outdoors.

I think I'll be out your way in August, I have to be in Sechelt for a long time buddies celebration of life get together. Died Easter weekend after a rough couple of years. I won't have time for much I think it will be a 4 day return trip, Just across the water from you but that fkin ferry time will be too much back and forth in the time I'll have. I can only pack an oz on the plane so I'm at a 4-5 day max if I conserve and I don't think I'll be conserving ....

Sorry to hear about your friend, man. That sounds like it'll be a wild round trip burning through an oz in 4-5 days lol. Fwiw the last time I flew back to NS I brought an Oz of weed and an Oz of hash with me all vac sealed in the same bag. Airport people don't give a shit, one lady in Nanaimo on the first flight even said "oooh, looks good!" When she pulled it out of my carry on bag lol.

I'd like to think my college hort professors would be proud to see that I'm still using my textbooks.

"Intro to greenhouse production" is doing a fine job of holding up the LED on one end.

Saw a post in a forum somewhere recently asking what you think the prettiest song ever written was.
First song that came to my mind was the George Harrison masterpiece Long long long.

This one is dedicated to my new crop of little baby weed plants, it's been a long long long time. 😄

I love "Since I've been loving you" By Led Zeppelin

Great tune! If I had to pick the prettiest LED Zepplin song though I'm going with Thank you. Was the wife and I's wedding song.

Love me some Zep. One of my biggest influences both for guitar playing and studio production.

Beautiful song!!!

Really good drum fills too. If the sun refused to shine -- gr8 lyric...

Top right is lemon pie, other 2 are ultra mass
Starting to pump out 2nd and 3rd true leaf sets.20240428_192104.jpg

One cheese has some sort of variegated leaf thing going on.20240428_192114.jpg

And the other cheese is still just cotyledons with what looks like a couple stigmas poking out in the middle.. Weird. The fresh cheese seed is just starting to break the soil, hopefully makes up for this weirdness.20240428_192120.jpg
