Hahaha. Beanless chili is like potato salad without the potatos. Its just not right.
If no beans in chili is wrong I don't ever want to be right
I dont like ice cream that much. I eat it like 10 times a year maybe.Ice Cream. That's what DeNiro used when he did Raging Bull.
Just be careful with your LDL so that you don't go D2.
Nah what we have here is history being hijacked by yankees and their beans!come stay at the luv shack, i'll fattin ya right up!!!!!
Word!
i wonder where it all went wrong... lots of cowboys in texas, cowboys ate lots of beans, did a modern group just get fed up with beans and said no more!!
somewhere along in history you've been brainwashed and really missing out on a delicious combo!!!
something must have happened in the alamo and no one will ever speak of it!!!!
I dont like ice cream that much. I eat it like 10 times a year maybe.

Chili was invented here. Kinda. Specifically in the Alamo City, San Antonio so yeah you're on point there.
Chili here is short for chili con carne. Originally coming from Mexico the name translates to chilis with meat. Mexicans brought the recipe up here and around the late 1800s were selling it in San Antonio giving American tourists it's first taste of chili.
Early 1900s chili parlors began opening in cities outside of Texas and that's where the recipe began to change. Beans were beginning to enter into the recipe back then so today people believe beans in chili is normal and accepted. Maybe so but not in Texas.
However, in 1999 The Chili Appreciation Society International drew the line in the sand declaring that beans would not be allowed in chili competitions. Also included in that was meat could not be marinated and tomatoes could not be used.
That 3rd one is often overlooked even by purists like me but should probably be worse than chili with beans considering some white dude invented that recipe and called it 2 alarm chili and it's still a huge seller for home cooks with the ready made and measured seasoning packs.
So yeah after that beans in chili is pretty much fighting words around here.
I say that but you know...It's pretty much a long time running joke we like to have fun with non-Texans and is inserted into things like when a girl introduces her new boyfriend to the parents the first question dads ask is beans or no beans in chili. We are serious but it's fun seriousness.
Now the idea of "chili beans" is a marketing ploy. Kinda like Hallmark inventing holidays to sell cards, same thing with chili beans. At least when you do it you don't fall for that trap.
We do love our beans down here though. Refried beans are my fave and we also do BBQ beans. A refried bean and cheese taco with a little red salsa on a fresh flour tortilla for breakfast with strong coffee is about as good as it gets in the morning. We just don't put beans in our chili.
So as I die on this hill everybody should know I'm having fun and fucking with Y'all. I'm not serious about it and enjoy the banter. However if any of Y'all were my guests and I'm doing a chili...If you ask me to put beans in it I will politely ask you to leave. And by politely I mean Mr. Mossberg doing the talking
Moe aint wrong about German food...An old army buddy of mine was stationed there and he tuned me into using mayo as a dip for french fries. I like it but I dump a lot of black pepper in it but yeah, fries dipped in mayo Bro!
My wife also dips fries in Wendy's Frostys too which aint too bad either.
My keys to success on massive weight gain as I rock this 6' tall, 250lb meat suit...Become a long time smoker and quit cold turkey to kick it in gear, eat a ton of tacos, become a BBQ pitmaster, and develop an appreciation for fine bourbons. Smoke pot that gives you the munchies and you too can have all this glory!

"Chili Appreciation Society International"
So I kinda got you on this one. The name sounds all fancy pants and it's intentional, yet hilarious.
At some point the chili capital of the world moved from San Antonio to Terlingua. IDK why...Maybe because SA is now the taco capital these days and they wanted to share, can't be the capital of two things at once, who knows.
Now Terlingua is pretty much a place not of this Earth. It's the Badlands of West Texas. A real deal Ghost Town in the shadow of Big Bend National Park. The mayor was once a beer guzzling goat and one resident has a full size submarine in his front yard as yard art.
The people there are a breed of their own. We vacationed there Summer of '21 and yeah, we have stories. All of them spooky. It is a ghost twon afterall
Getting back to "Chili Appreciation Society International"...I guess you could say they're kinda like the Amish in your area.
They travel to the meeting by alternative means.....

And that my friend is who makes up the rules on chili and the people who host the annual world renowned International Chili Cookoff which is pretty much like Woodstock in the desert for 4 days in November and instead of Jimi Hendrix, the star of the show is chili.
OK that's all kinds of baddass!
The sirens are so life like they got my dog Ollie howling at them so I had to mute my 'puter volume
yeah i'm all done driving everybody crazy here too.. took the batteries out and packed it back up in the box!!!

Points are meaningless when it gets to Phoenix and the last race. The Cup winner will be decided by the finishing order of the last 4 playoff drivers in the playoffs. Winning Phoenix cements it but as long as Larson finishes ahead of the other 3, he'll win it.@Bandit420
@Stoneyluv
I want to make sure I understand scoring at the last race of the year in AZ. One of the commentators screwed me up with the bubba crap last time. Are points out the window at the final race and it is just however finished the best?

The 5 and 20 teams can pretty much focus 100% on that race right now, fine tuning the cars way ahead of time and not worry about how they do at Martinsville

Stewart never really seemed to recover after his accident with the sprint car driver he killed.did you see larson and his brother in law bought 410 all stars from tony stewart? they named their company "high limits"
That's exactly how concentrate are delivered here in the land of prohibition! Funky little jars with clever names that mimic real stores or products.did ya see the next day texts?.. fill em with glitter!!!!!! hahaha
man i'm not sure what happened there... i think he just wasn't paying attention. blaney slowed down a little but not like a brake check or anything... he came in hot but wasn't out of control, not sure what he was looking at.

i never tried the brand before but was pleasantly surprised on how clean it is.

you know how the puffco is, if there is any impurities the chamber shows it right away... after a 90 second rip looks pretty good!!
i hope the championship four finish 28th 30th 31st and 32nd!!!!!!! hahahaha
win the whole shabang on a 28th place finish with a car all torn to shit!!!!!
i'd buy that diecast!

Did I read that right in you scored a QP of sugar??!! As in 4oz?? Yep you gonna be high forever!!!
Tell me about the terp pearls Bro. I've heard of them and seen them but not sure what they do. Is it to keep stuff stirred up or you hit off the pearl?
Oh hell yeah!! You know I love me some wrecked diecast!
I just got an email this morning from Lionel and my Josh Williams NXS "Park It" car is on it's way. It's not all smashed to hell but it has a fair amount of Bearbond all over the hood
I've actually been considering a Kyle Busch car for my wife too.

There's a seller on ebay, I'll go ahead and call him/her an artist as well, who does custom wrecked diecasts made to look like actual wrecks. He did my Harrison Burton '22 Daytona wreck and my Willy B '22 Daytona wreck and he listed this latest one a few weeks ago. They're fucking spendy though so this one is like $160 BIN so I'm just waiting and hoping he puts it up for auction like the others I bought from him.
Right now my priority diecast is Bill Elliott's 1987 world record car. Doing some wheeling and dealing on ebay selling shit to buy other shit. Just waiting on if dude will take my offer or not for that one.
AFAIUI, the pearls allow more surface area for the oil to stick to and be exposed to the flame so you get a nice clean burn with little residue.
he's a very successful dude that's for sure... and man what a great thing he's been in motorsports in general he seems to improve everything he touches. i'm just still bitter that mr. chevy himself now supports ford!!!!!! wtf is this world coming to!!!!!
i remember when it was announced that tony was joining Haas and switching to ford... i was like...
View attachment 27212
i like tony, i think he's a great person, great man, great role model, great boss, great race car driver... i didn't always have that much respect for him but he gained it more and more every year! even back when he and kannan would duke it out in open wheel. never had an issue with stewart... made fun of him here and there when he was young just cuz all the girls would like him.
yeah man each jar is 28 grams... well they were anyhow!!! hehehe i burn through about an ounce a month. pot snobs are real jerk offs!!!
normally i don't get it in the packaging like that. i've been getting from my buddy, he works up in maine or vermont i think for the past year or more and he helps with a large scale commercial grow. they process everything in house and every couple months he comes home and brings me and another friend so really nice sugar. lately it's been like this top shelf stuff...
View attachment 27221
as you can see i was running low and he wasn't around and my other friend that he hooks up was getting more desperate and found those jars from another friend we hang with. it's nice to have the variety and all but they're not as good and as good as the stuff from up north. the stuff i sent you was the earlier batches from up north. somewhere in July it got a lot better, the price went up to 150 though.
this was pretty cheap though.. $120 for a Z so i jumped on the four. my buddy also grabbed four. we rolled a huge fatty of my zangria and his skunk with a three gram sugaaah filling!!!!!!!! fuck yeah!!!
terp pearls?!?!? now that's something i know about!! i've tried em all.. i started using them back when you gave the epro. i've used all kinds of materials and sizes in pearls.. onyx, ruby, sapphire, sic, glow in the dark... you name it. and you can't just buy one or two at a time unless you find a combo pack. so don't ever buy any i have a plenty to give out to whoever wants them...
View attachment 27217View attachment 27216
they kind of have their place and are not for every piece out there. they work the best is a wide cooker, the wider the more benefit. you choose the size of the pearl according to the airflow, the more airflow you have the smaller the pearl that can be used. if you can go small enough you can use two pearls!! two are better than one when working correctly.
the different materials heat up and cool at different rates so that determines what kind you want. if you have something that heats up quick and shuts off according to a clock you want a material that heats up quick and stays hot longer, like a ruby or sapphire. a rig that gets warmed up and stays hot for a long multi sesh then a SiC or AIN would be the best.
now some people don't even need or benefit from them. they are made to hold heat and stir the oil around to the hot parts of the chamber. like a frying pan the parts not covered in food are hotter. same thing with a chamber, when the oil is concentrated in one spot the camber cools in that spot, the terp pearl moves the oil to a hot spot and keeps it constant. and double fold with the puffco peak pro 3d chamber where the sides heat up as well as the bottom of the chamber so the pearl helps throw the oil against the sides of the chamber spreading it even.
some have joystick caps where you can steer the oil around the chamber with air. these work great but require two hands, one for the rig and one to steer the oil. i use an oculus cap and it has one hole in the side on an angle and allows for a vortex of air in the chamber. some caps have multi holes to twist the airflow. these don't work as well as the joystick... enter terp pearl...
the different caps..

oh man that elliot diecast will be a crown jewel in your collection!!!!!! i'll never forget the weekend that happened!! there was a lot of controversy over it that next week. i remember watching and we said welp nascar cars will never go that fast ever again. and that was the birth of a restrictor plate!
man i got a car for your wife i'll send ya....
View attachment 27222
just rub the 1 off!!!! i'd love to get rid of this orange bad juju car!!! somebody on an old forum sent me seeds hidden in it as a joke!!!!
you can have your cheddars card back too!!!!!
those wrecked diecasts are so badass!!!! a lot of work must go into them, i'd love to see a time lapse of someone making one.
man you made me look up afaiui on google... made me feel old!!!!!!!
i'm not so sure it's for a surface area reason because the pearl will never be as hot as the chamber itself. i think the main reason is to just move the oil around and not have it puddle up anywhere in the chamber. just moving the oil around making it a thin layer so it evaporates quicker and easier.
I'm still struggling with my seedling situation. I had it narrowed down to just two things that it could be, the soil and the light. painful to say but it's my new, used, and busted up 550 that i bought. i so didn't want it to be the light but i pretty much have proof at this point. i'll know for sure in a few days.
as sad as i am about it, i'm also relieved that i now know and can stop wasting seeds and time. i put the 275 back in last weekend and things are right back to normal. dark green and growing.
the 550 would start to make the veins turn white in a few days and by day six or seven they would be pale green and already internally destroyed and just then showing the signs of death. i assume the damage was occurring right from day one and it just took till day six or so to show.
i have the newest batch of five doing well and are eight days old today and four more that are going into soil tonight. i feel like i can finally move forward now and i'll see if i can figure out whats wrong with the light some other time. right now i just want to try and celebrate this small mini victory and try to forget the past two months of failures!
my personal growth in all this was this time i didn't do anything stupid and narrowed it down till i knew for sure. at only day eight i don't really know for sure 100% but i am very confident right now.
moving forward!
That's just crazy with the pearls! I had no idea!
I have a couple spinning carb caps for my Rok that are pretty cool and work like that video when I take a hit.
Looks I need to do some squishing and try some new things!
That's wild about the 1987 #9 car! I wanna find that race and see it. Have a bunch of Nascar's greatest races on DVR but I don't think it's there.
In Chicago I was wearing the tshirt I have of that car and an Old Timer noticed and started to tell me the story. He was there that day!
Ever since I've been captivated by the car. Started off as just a cool shirt and now I need to see and know more about it!
Fella on Ebay took my offer too so I hope it works out. I paid but saw he listed it again so not sure what's up. Hopefully he has two or something.
Gettin' all jacked up for the race here in a few! I'm on a delay so I can FFW thru commercials
Brisky in the 3 hole so maybe he sends Hamlin packing today and finally gets a dang win this year!
I saw it's official with Almirola out of the 10 car next year. No more powered by bacon either but SHR will still keep the 10 going.
And guess what...Noah Gragson is gonna get that ride!!!!!! Fuck Yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Dude I am so happy right now...Two of my fave drivers on the same team gonna wreck shop in Cup next year! And Preece too??!! We comin' bro!!!! SHR FTW!!!!Next year I'm gonna have so many flags flying it'll be nuts!
And yeah...FKB!!!!!
That is nuts on the light man! It's gotta be that particular light because mine has never caused any kind of issue with seedlings. I even have some T5HO which are great for seedlings but prefer the 550 for that job so the t5's are dust collectors today.
I really hope that worm turns for you in a very good way with the 275
