yeah i just don't understand bumps on a race track. the only thing i can blame it on is laziness or very poor management. the equipment that is used and the process there is absolutely no excuse for bad pavement!!! none!!! they use a fuckin laser to measure it! it just all comes down to lazy ass union workers that don't give a shit about their job or themselves! I bet 80% of union workers could never keep a real job! some of these tracks look like PENNDOT paved em!!! we have some shitty roads here and ya can't blame it all on erosion and winters!!! laziness is what it is!!!!



i was hoping they'd move it around. i'd be all for a road race to decide it all!!!!!! could you imagine how desperate drivers would get!!! and let like eight of em at it, not just the final four!!!! hell yeah!!!

i personally know three couples that don't follow nascar anymore and stopped going to races just because of stage racing and the changes that came along with it. nascar lost a lot of fans when changing the championship to new rules... at least on paper anyway. i think they lost fans for three reasons, this was one of them. toyota coming in was another, and Dale getting killed was a big one. many fans just left. all these things kinda compounded all one after the other. and add in the whole cingular, at&t, xfinity bullshit and enough was enough and fans just left!! i really wish you could have gotten to see it at a track when it was winston cup. pit passes are like dinosaurs now.. for like $75 you could get pit passes where you just hang out with the teams and families! pocono was the very first track to start ruining it they came up with the paddock pass and that started the whole deal where you can only approach drivers through a chain link fence. the following year over half the tracks went to this and cancelled pit passes.

I stopped following sports in 1995. Blue Jays won the pennant by default as everyone was on strike and they won the year prior.

I’ll still watch playoffs and Olympic stuff but that’s about it. I went to a few baseball and hockey games in the early 2000’s but that’s only because I was gifted tickets for a bonus at work. Took my son to a few too.

so the vicky vallencourt mobile broke today... the tie rod i didn't have zip tied snapped on me.. it at least waited till i was totally done messing around!!! limped it into the garage and now have it up on the hoist... this is the easy way to work on the bottom of a mower.. sit on a stool and work!!!

i get the baby deer in the yard though, almost hit so many of those over the years. they'll be curled up the size of a football in the high grass.. i had one crawl up in my lap licking my ear one time, talk about nature melting your heart!!!

It did. I come back in just a minute or two with a shopping/body bag and it’s gone. No cats, no noises, no marks in the grass other than what I saw prior. Raptor was the only thing to come to mind.

We had a few holes/dens. They seem to like making tunnels under our stoop, which I can live with if they finish before I can fill it back in. But others are under our plants root balls. The rest are more like ground bird nests. Usually in a corner or under a bushy plant area. Just a indent a bit bigger than fist size. I’ll take a few pics next time I’m out.

The wee ones are fully developed and eyes open. One fits in the palm of my hand. So cute. Not sure how mom would feel about the babies being touched so I move them with gloves on so no sent transfer.

Mom is out like most rabbits. Dusk to dawn. But also comes out in the day at times. Easy to find at night with a flashlight. Just look for the eye flash. They have let me get as close as about 6-8 feet. Then she either walks away slowly as she eats the clover or she just hops away fast another 10 feet.

That’s new! We’ve seen two deer on the street over Covid because we have parks around us but not on the property. Fox and coyote a few times. But that’s about it.

Squirrels and the occasional skunk or raccoon are the nuisance furries. I try to relocate or stop from damaging the house or garage but some don’t get the hint.

He is one crazy, cock strong country boy right there and he just don't care. He'll wreck himself trying to win so other drivers know racing him hard is like fucking with a hornet nest trying to pass him. I love that about him but it will equally make people hate him for it.

It's a weird time in NASCAR. Like an out with old and in with the new thing so it has it's good and bad to it.
I like them dabbling in the international market but not at the expense of USA tracks. Like let's fix that bump[ at TMS before we're flying off to Saudi Arabia for a one off race.

One major change I'd like is get ticketmaster out of it. Sell tix thru NASCAR or at the track but cut out ticketmaster for driving up the prices on everything.
I agree on the pit passes. That's a $600 adventure now because of ticketmaster. Race tix are the same. Should be about $30-$40/seat, ticketmaster jacks it up to $90. And to make it even worse, Ticketmaster doesn't sponsor a fucking thing. All they do is take and zap away any value in fun unique entertainment. When people need to finance fucking concert tickets, that's a problem.

It seems changing some of the stage stuff would be quick an ez. Like still have stage points but no caution. They could mix that up for every track so each week there's a new and unique challenge to account for and not the same routine over and over. Some races do the caution so we get the restarts and others no caution to put immense pressure on pit crews and chiefs for performance and strategy with green flag pits.

The Clash and All Star race need a reboot. I'd mix that up and maybe combine the two making the Clash the Al Star race to start the season and add in other things making it a weekend long event then off for two weeks then into Daytona.
For that Clash and All Star, have a Saturday night dirt race in Sprints or Late models with Cup paint schemes and Cup drivers. A throwback or tribute type race. Then Sunday night a Cup car race.
More skills challenge in pit road and maybe something that gets drivers out of the cars in a sort of olympics or Revenge of the Nerds style competition......3 on 3 hoops tourney, tug of war between manufacturers, shotgunning beer contests vs fans, dunk the driver...I mean how many would line up and pay to throw a ball that sends Hamlin in the drink?
Make that opening weekend a blowout of fun shit all weekend long. Call it NASCAR fest or some shit. Bring in live music, camping, and all that stuff. Make it the Woodstock of racing.

I collected some bonus points this week. Glad you reminded me about fantasy because I spaced it and set my line up today and got that 13.

Powerball gave me 15 this week.

I made a $25 donation to the NASCAR foundation and that's worth 50 with a 13 point tier bonus.
Did the same making a nascar shop purchase buying a hat that will give me that same 63 points again.

I think every month I'll order something like a sticker or whatever just to get that 63 points per month from fanatics. You get one 50 point bonus a month from them when you by something and I don't think there's a minimum purchase so something like a sticker should get that 50 and also do it when they have a free shipping code.
I'm at 4463 right now and will tack on 126 by Sunday night. Long way to go to 15,000 still but I think it's possible.

wow this goes to show how long i've been out of it, i didn't even know it was run by TM... that explains a lot!!!! i've always just bought tickets at the gate when i went to races. only ones i bought up front were bus trips and one at dover many moons ago.

i put some filter material in snots the dog and in just a few days i can see a couple feet down already, most of all the green is gone. that 36watt UV really zapps the algae.. i think i'm turning over the water like once every four minutes right now or something ridiculous like that!!! the pump is 410 watts!!!!!!

it's been a work in progress since it's started!! hahaha

so the story goes...

like over ten years ago El Bandito as i met him is now the Bandit420 we all know and love, put this koi pond in his grow room and started growing ganja plants out of it!!!!!! i'm gonna be honest i thought that was the coolest freakin thing i ever saw in my life!!! so i just had to build one myself, i built this as my first aquaponic setup. my buddy gave me some fish and away i went.

then winter was coming and asked my buddy what to do with the fish because i really liked having fish now.. he said they'll freeze in that thing.. haha you gotta dig a pond man!! haha

sooo. the next day a borrowed my neighbors mini excavator and dug a hole!!! hahaha







then over the years i've had issues with it and not doing things correct from the start and had to dig out more and add more liner and make it so it didn't collapse..

the left side was a disaster and thanks goodness we saved it!!! dug it all back out, laid in some stone and was given these giant blocks of concrete. and they had steal tread posts in them so i layed steel across all four and welded them solid. only way its collapsing in now is if it drags all four at one time!!!! haha








so it was never really built to look nice it was always intended as an aquaponic rez. i've just tried to put a little lipstick on the pig!!! hahaha

Love the trip down memory lane on the aquaponics!
Kinda the same here...Already have what I need to do it. Now do it!!

Lessons learned from the past will help me going forward.
I'm thinking a dual plumbed bed. Both top drip and flood and drain.
I want to divide a bed with some pots having shale and worms and those being top fed with water for the main filter.
Then other pots with light soil like I'm using now and flood them 1x a day.
The fish and worms would pretty much be locked in and perpetual but having the plants in pots would allow ez exchange, starting plants in the aquaponics then transplanting into soil/sip/container gardens.
Maybe have 1-2 permanent plants in the aquaponics as well just to keep it in symbiotic balance.

I also wanna do it in my carport and in the tent. I'll have racoon and weather protection there which were the causes of previous failures at it.

Lessons learned from the past will help me going forward.
I'm thinking a dual plumbed bed. Both top drip and flood and drain.
I want to divide a bed with some pots having shale and worms and those being top fed with water for the main filter.
Then other pots with light soil like I'm using now and flood them 1x a day.
The fish and worms would pretty much be locked in and perpetual but having the plants in pots would allow ez exchange, starting plants in the aquaponics then transplanting into soil/sip/container gardens.
Maybe have 1-2 permanent plants in the aquaponics as well just to keep it in symbiotic balance.

I also wanna do it in my carport and in the tent. I'll have racoon and weather protection there which were the causes of previous failures at it.

thats a great idea with keeping them contained like that. root clogging was always my only maintenance. although if i was to use that tote the bonus is it has a big 13" hole on top for the drain, i was thinking of just making a huge bell siphon and dare/challenge the roots to clog that monster!!!! haha i laugh but i'm serious!!! i can fit my head in that opening!!!

i wanna keep mine separate from my pond.. the sun sucks at my pond and i'd like to have the growing section inside my polytunnel and have the fish outside in the shade. i'k also like to try some strawberry tubes..

ooooh speaking of tractors.. i got my john deere all fixed up and ready for lawn fightin!!!! brand new tie rods and fresh grease job she is turning on a dime!!!!! mowed everything last night.. got it done just before the rains came in. got eveything except for around the pond. still need to clean that all up, but i did get the plumbing all glued in place and the filters are kicking ass and right now it's the nicest the water's been in two years so far it's still getting better yet!!!

even from my wildlife cam it looks pretty good.. in the rain!!! hahaha it's not green anymore though.

I just feel better about aquaponics now in so many ways. Ideas on that bed with the plants being ez to remove and replace and a new type bed for the worms to thrive but also be able to harvest them easily for using in the landscape and soil containers.
And not to mention the fact that we have 3D printers now and there just so happens to be over 10,000 downloads for bell siphons.

I'm so far behind on my watchlists but I'm really looking forward to watching Full Speed and seeing the behind the scene stuff with Briscoe. Won't mind seeing his family life a little but mostly interested in how it was at SHR in the final days and him going back and forth to JGR + his wife expecting twins!
I know the kind of stress major leadership changes bring in football so I wanna see if it's different in racing.

The Max incar is wild man. We only tuned into to it live for one race and watched like the first 20 laps before I had to go to work.
Each car is different...some have audio and some dont and some have multi camera angles while some dont.
Like I wanted Blainey and Busch in cars for a while and hoped they had audio so I could hear them melting down and dropping F bombs on the field but they had no audio.
But it is fucking amazing how clear that in car is. Not sure what Max is doing to get it like that but holy shit that's a vivid viewing experience.
The most I have that on is playing a replay while I'm working. It's on and I glance up etc but don't really sit down and watch. It's my music while I work. I just wish there was smellavision so I could smell the burning rubber and fuel too.

picked up a boundless spectrum.. a little bigger than the first terp pen but still smaller than the cf710..



it hits really nice... it's a three speed power with tap sensor built in so no buttons. i believe it's the exact same size as their older xl pen that they don't offer anymore.

has a built in glass dab dish in the cap with a silicon cover, thats kinda sweet because i bought this for on the go. and they sent me four free replacement coils, i think this was a mistake actually because it was never listed on my order. i know i didn't pay for them so cool to me!!

came with a dual coil and a single, i personally can't tell the difference in the performance..
