Cleaning tents and moving things around.

No new mold/rot on JB and PD doesn’t seem bothered by it.

I’m stuck at 70/70 for drying SL so a little concerned about that.

We need to many things replaced so I’m skipping saving for the tumbler. Fans are a priority but at $150 a pair I have to wait until Black Friday. A more modern dehumidifier would be nice but I’ll have to watch for sales.

I’m replacing my smashed stash jar and aging roller with a new setup. It’s been 25 years so I think it’s okay to splurge a bit.

Cool. I saw this and others I liked before Covid but I never got one. I made one but the shortest hose I could get was 10’. Wasted to much and it wasn’t safe when taken apart. I don’t make or modify hoses for stuff like this.

yep. I set up a work station outside the door with the tank upside down in the sun on a portable work bench. Then get tanks from the big freezer as I go.

I weigh every new can beforehand and write down the weight on the side. Then again when empty. That way I always know when full and don’t over fill.

It seems this practice is frowned upon up here but I’d rather fill my own than pay the same price for one or two 1lbs as I would for one 20lbs.

After all the heat and humidity I finally gave up trying to work in a 3x1x3 grow space.

I removed the shelf and opened it up to one 3x1x6 space. A 2-1 rather than a 3-1. The other tent I already modified into a better germination station and pre Veg zone. So this would be the next step before going into either of the 3x3 sections.

Now the problem is finding a y splitter for the lights. Only the 440w came with one.

I want to join the 220w & 110w together.

It looks like the dimmer switches use the same connectors so if I had two y splitters I might be able to dim both together too? (The dimmers suck and don’t go 0-100 evenly. And no two are the same. I have to use a LUX meter if I want to match them up. But linked might solve that part. )

I don’t remember the connection name but it’s a one way like old CB radios used. Still have a lollipop mic with one.

Edit: Can’t seem to find the second power cable for the 110w light. Hope I left it in the box. Somewhere in the garage.

Had a left over clone… was talked into sticking it outside rather than tossing. That was in late July. She lost one branch to wild life but these three have buds now.

I don’t think she’ll make it but interesting to watch. Took her weeks just to figure out what was going on.

He’s been removed from the tent and pending chop. Bandit gave me a few seeds to play with so I don’t think I’ll try to pollinate anything this time round.



Strawberry Lemonade 8 day old test branch. Vaped nice, smoked nicer. Still needs to cure but we like it.

Thanks for noticing G$. I needed more than just my glasses. Didn’t expect them this late in the game.

I thought my chopping the colas in half might have caused or added to them stressing but Stonemason showed me his did it as well.

I’m going to try this run again. See if I can improve things.

Trim day. Strawberry Lemonade has been hanging 12 days at mostly 65-74% humidity and 72F. Fans did their job though. No issues and we had our small branch crack this morning. Buds have been tight and firm.

Once I clean the trim bin and get set I’ll take some pics.

Trim day for Strawberry Lemonade. Could go a few more days but I need the space.

Here we go.


First tray made 27g


From there each tray added nicely.
27, 66, 101, 148, 197 then another 61. Total of 258g but still a bit damp at the cola tips.


Lazy trim job but the larf is nice enough to smoke. Needs to sit a bit before we test. She’s real sticky.

She also had a few seeds for another run down the road.

Few days from now I’ll know if it was all worth the effort.

20240927: Day 83 W11/12

Purple Diesel is looking good. Her and Jilly Bean get the chop tomorrow.

Both PD & JB have been changing colour the last few days. It would be nice to keep them going a bit longer but I need the space. Plants are coming and I need the 3x3 free.

Chopped Jilly Bean & Purple Diesel last night. Both are tight leaves and sticky but PD is the worst. I had to move the dehumidifier into the bathroom for fear of bud rot/mold.



Strawberry Lemonade is curing nicely.

Gen2 is already set to flip. Buddy brought them back but they are a bit squished and needed feeding. Hopefully they will snap back over lights out.

Jilly Bean, Strawberry Lemonade, and two Haunted Banana. One’s definitely a female but the other is pending ID.

Still need to clean the no longer oscillating fan but the rest is clean.

The rear left HB might be male so I’ll move it to the front after lights on. Keep a closer eye on it.

Plants are hung and trimmed back some more to try and control humidity. Very bushy and tight packed leaves.

I’ll be leaving them alone for the next week. The dehumidifier is in there to help keep it in the low 60’s. But I have to unplug it if it gets past 45%. Let it creep Buck up.

Wow, my wife got home at 3pm and I ask her to give me a hand as I wanted to split each plant into two. Divide them to help with humidity.

You posted about the same time we did it. Not exactly branch by branch but along the same lines. I removed the core from each and hung it separately.

I’ve been plugging in the room dehumidifier until it hits 40% then unplug until mid 60’s then repeat. Lasts a few hours this way. Possible rain again tomorrow.

If it’s not cooperating tomorrow I’ll stop being lazy and chop her up.

Lights set to 33000 LUX, a little higher than 50% of the Photontek. I’ll bump it up to 75%, around 52500 LUX by the end of the 3rd week start of the 4th.

Looks like another HB is male.

I’m in denial so no hurry to move it yet.

Still working on humility.

Rearranging things. Getting away from the decorative jars and going back to 1L mason jars. Easier to store. I just need to stop giving them to people, they NEVER return them.


Still burping the Strawberry Lemonade.

Gen2 is doing good. Moved the suspected HB male to the main floor. Maybe I will make a few seeds. Be nice to do it intentionally for a change.


Jilly Bean rear left, Haunted Banana rear right and Strawberry Lemonade front and centre. Leaving them all in one gallon pots this go. Three gallon is my usual flower size.

The strawberry lemonade has really dense roots. Always poking out the sides and bottom of the pot.

Just chilling. Temps are okay RH will do what it does.

I never know what leaves to cut and which to leave. I usually end up lolly popping and try to leave the uppers alone. Remove from the middle. Guess which branches won’t amount to much. The usual I guess.



Forgot about my little outdoor girl. I use the basement door 95% of the time so don’t see her.


Don’t think she’s going to get to grow up.


At least the SL is curing okay.

An official trim bin and everything, I've looked at them but I just can't justify the cost. I'm cheap and $87+ gov = too much for my cheapness

Watch out on Amazon. I find they Jack up prices on some searches. Even got different results on different phones/computers.

I got mine local on sale a few years ago when I started. Got talked into a few things I could have skipped or gotten cheaper.

This is the current price at my remaining local store.


They also have trimmers on sale but it’s a nice to have rather than a must have, for me anyway.


Grow bags are the same or more than what I would pay for a 1L jar.

They are up to $12 for the 1lbs bags.

I have the trim bin. Good stuff.
Bought at a brick and mortar store in Mass. $65 I think a couple years ago.
I got a 13 inch spinner for $59 plus tax [ $65 ] in July but it is $99 now~! Growtent garden trimmer.
I use and like my jars. Probably have over 25 of the big ones that can hold 3 oz easy. They were $5 when I got them.
Got 4 'pickle jars' that hold 1 gallon I really like also. They were like $12 each.
When curing I just store them in the boxes they came in.

Finished jarring JB & PD to get things cleaned up and ready for Thanksgiving.

Both plants were slightly damp at the cola tips, JB less so but she doesn’t have the same tight hard buds. More like an open tiny pine cone.

JB = 139g

Both have a sweet candy flowery aroma. Even a nice after taste. Just need the cure to lose the green taste. Not that heavy dank smell like my strain.

Gen2 is Haunted Banana, JB and SL. Feeding time.

Lots of cleaning and rearranging things for the wife’s family visit. I just want to find a dark room and sleep, for a week.

I’ll weigh things again in a while for 100% dry weight.

The Strawberry Lemonade up front is fighting the LST. Just doesn’t want to lay over.



That was bent past 90* but just recently tried to straighten.

Forgot about the male HB upstairs. Haven’t looked at it since Thursday. Life got busy. Took a quick peek last night but it was to dark to see much. I’m betting the flowers are opening and pollen is dropping. Need to check it later today. Decide what I’m doing with it.

Burping the three new strains.

Second oldest harvest remaining.

Little reward for the reorganization.


Trying to dry out about 25 Boveda packs. Had to say if it’s working after a day. Plus it’s still 65% RH in the house. I’ll leave them a few more days. Most of the latest jars have fresh packs.

i use a little bit off fencing wire bud bend it nearly but not quite 90 deg and tap it to where you have cropped it.you can use a stake too after doing that so the branch has some support for the weight..I got some pics somewhere in my diary if you want to try it.

That's far too many jars of weed to have kicking around. You obviously don't smoke enough. I may just have to get my ass up to your neck of the woods next year to help you mow through a few of those jars. I think I could talk my wife into a long days drive....the cats I'm not sure of, they don't like vacations. The last time I drove up there with a cat she started sleeping in the litter box. Poor thing hated it.

I was surprised it straightened out. It was a solid bend.
