A new dawn.

Good morning to all you tokers and growers, and how are you all on this sunny but very frosty morning, hope your all well. :) This week see's us strain the last jar of the four, jar 1 week 4. This week saw me testing the week 1 jar against the week 4 jar, just to see if the difference is worth the extra three weeks of messing about, and I have to say, the week 4 jar kills the week 1, the difference in potency is massive, you can get a nice hit from the week 1 jar, but the week 4 kicks its ass, and justifies a sit down. 😁 This makes me smile, as I like others, I thought all the messing about was a waste of time, but it turns out its not, classic case of you get back what you put in. 👍 So from this month of experiments all my future jars will be stirred for a month, thing that surprised me was the colour, it never seemed to get any darker after the second week really, I thought I'd be slurping fresh seaweed by the fourth week, this is probably the pickling effect of the alcohol combined with the decarb of the weed, which I think partly destroys the green effect of the buds. I found this an easy method to get on with, just a couple of squirts from the dropper bottle into your favourite style of coffee, and boom, your in. 😁 I still miss a joint or a pipe, but at least I'm back in the game after a couple of months with out a hit, two long months thumb twiddling. 😁 Its amazing how much time we devote to getting stoned, and the growing side of this lifestyle we have chosen, and watching other growers strut their stuff, nearly had to find a hobby, even my dog started to sigh. 🤣 Not many pics again this week, its not a thread that demands a lot of pics, four jam jars are just not that gripping. 🤣

First pic is straining the bud from the Green Dragon, I used natural coffee filters, the ones with out any bleaching, just didn't fancy the bleach in any form, more so if the use of the filters in going to be a long term thing. 😉

Jar 1 week 4.
20250109_142853.jpg

This is a nice little dodge to save time, I marked the jar with a bit of electrical tape to give me a point to evaporate the alcohol down to, this is the level for four dropper bottles worth of the Green Dragon, all you do then is syringe 10ml into each bottle. 👍
20250109_142805.jpg

The final loupe pic, you can see there are less trykes on week fours buds. (y)
20250110_104333.jpg

If you have a bit of spare weed, trim, sieve, then give this a go and see what you think, all you need is a jar, a good strength alcohol, and some weed. My weed of choice was some good bud called The Church, but I've some other weed that hermed, which I normally make hash from, I'm not a big fan of hermed buds, as they make me cough, but I'd have no hesitation in using it for Green Dragon, so give it a go and see what you think. (y) So what's next on the edible trail? I'm just in the process of ordering some stuff from the net, I'll let you know when it arrives, hopefully before next weeks post. 🙂 So until then people, just keep tokin. 👍

Tried a buddies vape, made me cough for a month. Its either edibles or turn to drink. 🤣
I've had horrible asthma my entire life and I got the same exact feeling when I first started vaping, and while it seems likes its the vapor that triggers it I believe its the hot air from the vaporizer. If you ever get a chance try vaping again, try using a small glass bong and a water pipe adapter, it cools off the vapor significantly and its the only way I can consume flower without coughing and having bronchial issues. I can't use the vape cartridges because they make me feel like my throat is closing up and my lungs get so bad I feel short of breath but vaping the herb that passes through the water has been the only way I can consume the past 3 years.

Your symptoms are not unlike mine. At first I thought about giving up cannabis altogether, I thought it was the end with out smoking pipes, as I don't smoke tobacco, but as things have progressed, I've noticed things like not smelling of smoke, or breathing it on the kids in my life. My partner doesn't smoke anything at all, so its good for her too. (y) Not being able to smoke has its up, and its downs, for me, but when it comes down to it I have a choice, make my lungs worse, or make what I have left last as long as I can, and find another avenue, its a new dawn. 🤘

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this slightly misty morning, hope your all well. :) This week I've been looking at Canna Butter, ordered some stuff from the internet, some has arrived, some not, snow in parts around here, so I think its been tough for the delivery drivers. But what did come was some Lecithin, in cooking it seems that Lecithin helps the fat in the butter cling to the oils and fats in Cannabis, now there's a thing, think we need this. 😁 In all the recipes I've seen, a 5ml teaspoon full is good enough for a quarter of bush cannabis, and since I bought a pound of the stuff I don't expect to run out any time soon. 🤣 Thing is, if you buy a smaller amount it works out more expensive, but if you buy a trailer full it comes in cheaper. 🙂 So today I plan to make some canna butter, not a massive amount, just enough to test my chosen recipe, and test the end product. 🙂 This is how I'm going to make it. 👍

1 quarter of good bud.
250g of unsalted butter.
1x 5ml teaspoon Lecithin.

This is the type I bought, sunflower Lecithin. 👍
20250111_152111.jpg

The butter I'm using, bought from our local supermarket. 🙂
20250111_152223.jpg

The cannabis I'm using is the Church, left over from the Green Dragon trials, its already decarbed, and there was just over a quarter left, saves messing about with the oven. I decided after seeing the amount of trykes still left on the buds after making the green dragon, that this time I was going to mildly grind the buds, my thought being that the trykes would be hard to knock off of the bud into the butter, so for this reason I've ground the buds. 🙂

The ground buds.
20250111_153935.jpg

Next up, the jars. I've opted for three jars, two I'll use, which will have half the mixture in both, and the other third jar is just to fill in the extra space while cooking. 👍
20250111_152306.jpg

I started by splitting the Lecithin to to two half spoons of 2.5ml into the two jars, I used the smaller jars just because they fit in better in our 3.5ltr cooker. 👍
20250111_152556.jpg

Then in went the butter, half the block in each jar, the idea being that I can mix the butter and lecithin before I added the cannabis. So into the cooker it went while I sorted the cannabis. 👍
20250111_152922.jpg

First I scaled a quarter of cannabis, then the idea was to just split it in half, then I decided to weigh it out instead. 😁
20250111_154551.jpg

20250111_155912.jpg

The three jars were then placed into a slow cooker which is half filled with water, the space filler jar was filled with hot water, this is just to stop the jars with the butter in from floating around, or worse still falling over during the cooking stage. (y)

This is the butter melting before I added the cannabis, I made sure the Lecithin was well mixed into the butter. 👍
20250111_153518.jpg

This is the cannabis mixed into the butter, you can see the spare jar stopping the other two from floating about. 🙂
20250111_160402.jpg

I set the slow cooker on low so as not to destroy the THC any more than I have to, don't want that do we, no. 🙂
And that's as far as I've got, the jars are currently on a low setting in the slow cooker for four hours, every hour I'll give the jars a stir until they are done. I had planned to sort this early this morning and post the results, best laid plans as they say. 😁 So the end results will have to be posted at a later date. And that is all I have at the moment on the canna butter front. One thing I'll add is, if you look at the jars I used, they have the thicker screw top lids, I chose these because you can partly screw the lid on so you can pick them out to stir them, but because they're loosely tightened they wont build up any pressure and pop in the cooker, and render you butter useless, not what you want. (y) On that note, I out of here, chores to do. So until next time, just keep tokin folks. (y)

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this sunny but frosty morning, hope your all well. :) Part two of my venture into canna butter, and it went like this. I left the ingredients in the slow cooker for four hours, this seemed to be enough by the look of it, all the butter and buds were well mixed together, I gave the mix a good stir every hour just to make sure. (y) I have to say that the jars were fecking hot, and using oven glove didn't save me, as the fingers dipped into the hot water the jars were sat in, being this hot is obviously a good thing from the cooking point, but not for scorched fingers. 😁 Next thing to do was strain the mixture into a clean jar, so what to use for a strainer? I decided to go old school and use muslin, this would save cleaning a sieve or other utensil as I could just bin it when I was finished, easy life. 😁 So out with the tongs, as the oven gloves were a little damp. 🤣 The mixture was then poured through the muslin, which I secured, old style again, with an elastic band, this would also be binned with the used muslin. 👍

This is the mixture as it came out of the slow cooker, hot stuff. 😁
20250111_201828.jpg

Next up was to strain the mixture, I was thinking that the muslin would soak up the butter into the cloth as I'd used a fair sized piece, but it didn't. (y) Looked a bit like curry sat there in the muslin. 😁
20250111_201950.jpg

Ended up with nearly a full jar of canna butter in the end. (y) I'm thinking now, that I should have weighed the finished amount to see what the loss to the muslin and dry buds would have been, next time. :)

Once set it took on a nice clean colour, I thought it would be greener than it was. (y)
20250112_080835.jpg

I don't know if it was a mistake or not, but I'm treating it as one, and that was squeezing out the muslin into the jar. When I make this again, I think I'll skip the squeezing as I think it just forced the dust sized pieces of bud through the muslin into the jar. In the long run I don't think it does any damage to the end result, but it still wound up in the jar, which defeats the object of using a fine sieving method, I wanted a super clean product so when I cook with it, the food would have no specks of bud in it. (y)
20250112_080925.jpg

So how did the butter perform? I have to say, it did its job, two teaspoons gave me a nice relaxing hit. This gives me a base to work out how much butter to use in cooking. Taste wise it was ok, a fairly neutral taste, with a wax like texture, I thought it would be a bit more buttery. 😁
20250112_084525.jpg

And there you go, another string to my stoners bow. 😁 All in all an easy product to produce, and hassle free as after the ingredients are mixed and put in the slow cooker, its just a matter of waiting four hours with the odd stir in between until its done. Serving suggestions, toast for a wake n bake, or slap some on your favourite crackers. 😁 Tried both of these with good effect, only thing I can say is, don't try this when you have the munchies. 🤣 So there you are, canna butter 101. (y) What next? Find out next time, until then, just keep tokin folks. (y)

Did you decarb the weed before makeing butter?

I made cannabutter about a year ago, it was really potent but I had trouble getting past the funky aroma and taste.
I couldn’t mix it with enough anything to cover the funk! Peanut butter was perhaps the best but it still was weird.

I found my canna butter was quite neutral in taste, main smell was butter, if you do another batch, try a flavouring of some sort. (y)

What type of flavorings?
When I make butter or honey it always comes out pretty dark, not at all like your creamy looking butter.

I don't know off hand what flavourings, some thing to look into maybe. I would think most food flavourings associated with fatty foods would probably work, if I get minute I'll put a couple of drops of Strawberry flavouring on a spoonful of butter, and see how it goes. The colour of my butter came out ok, would have liked it to have been buttery in colour, maybe the size of your sieve mesh, when I looked at our sieve that I would have used, the mesh seemed a little big for sieving out small particles, so I went for the muslin, but I'm really happy with how it turned out for a first attempt. :)

When I first tested the Green Dragon I just took an unmeasured mouthful of it to test it, I have to say, I was comfortable for about four hours. 😁
We started just doing an alchol extraction and then cooking off the alchol. Then just making the butter with the concentrate. Allot easier to get the doses exact milagrams you get a cleaner butter too. It was always Russian roulette trying to figure out how strong they were and if I got it to green the chlorophyll hurt my stomach..

Thanks for this. I’ve only done the canna honey, using our crockpot, but this seems to be only a little more involved.

I’ll see if the wife’s interested. She enjoyed the honey I made but I’m not big on butter and won’t touch margarine. If she’ll cook with it I’ll add it to the list to try this year. I have a few jars of Z-weed I can use.

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this dull misty February morning, hope your all well. :) Nothing productive to show you this week, but I'm getting set up for a go at some Canna Coconut today, had to order some Beef Gelatine from the net due to our country shops not having any in stock, still cheaper and easier than driving to a bigger town just to buy some, I want this to make jelly babies at a later date, the price you pay for living on the outskirts of civilisation. :) Had a buddie pick me up some coconut oil on his way here, was expecting a kilo or some thing like that, but a 300ml jar will do just to experiment with, I only need 250ml, cheers bud. (y) He is staying the weekend with his wife and kids to help me with some building work I'm well behind with, that should get the mrs off my back, if we don't end up battered on the canna butter, or green dragon, he reckons that it can't be a strong a hit as a joint or a pipe, boy has he got a shock coming. 🤣 Due the success of the three jar in the slow cooker method with the canna butter, I going to repeat the same method with the canna coconut too. 👍 The recipe I'm going to use is the same as the canna butter, just a substitution of butter for coconut oil. So its back into the shed, as I'm banned from making a mess in the house kitchen (beer making, the hops stink). 😁

1 quarter of good bud, rough ground, not powdered. 🙂
250ml of coconut oil, the solid virgin stuff. 👍
1 x 5ml teaspoon of Lecithin.

I'm using the same sunflower lecithin from the canna butter. 👍
20250201_105155.jpg

The coconut oil, I gather this is a good brand. 😁

Can't show you the bud, as its in the oven decarbing as I write this. So later on I'll get the slow cooker fired up and get cooking, and we'll see what happens. 👍 Good news on my cuttings, I've chosen two strains, a Pineapple and a Do Si Do to get my cuttings from, so as soon as they're ready I'll let you know, with pics, can't wait, seems a life time since I dabbled with a grow.🙂 And there you are, another half update for you. 😁 I've got things to do, to keep the mrs off my back, I'll get the coconut experiment sorted later, and let you know how it goes. so until then, just keep tokin folks. Great to see a mate over helping you out..ask him can he help me with building a tree house .
I reckon it will b the last time he’s over at your joint once he has the coconut butter lol 🥴😂

I've used a similar recipe multiple times with very good results. I got it from a lady from a message board who went by "bad kitty smiles" she recommends a process of freezing & reheating the oil during extraction. Like cook it for several hours then freeze for like 8 hours, rethaw & bake again. You can apparently repeat this process multiple times if desired, I've never done it more that twice, but it could be something cool to experiment with.

Here's her website if you want to check it out it's loaded with all kinds of recipes, definitely worth a look especially if you limited to only using edibles.

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this sunny, but chilly morning, hope your all well. :) As some of you folk know, its now a struggle to have a toke for me these days, so if I'm going to remain a stoner, then I'll have to change my path. Edibles are the way forward, that way I can carry on growing and getting high, but I'll have to modify my intake methods to suit my no smoke stance. I've decided to take the Green Dragon route, as this is as easy as it gets, I already have a stack of cannabis to get going, and I can scam all the bits I need from Santa for Christmas, making it a cheap start up for a change. The Everclear is here, so I can start by drowning some weed in jam jars and experiment a little.

I like the Green Dragon approach, as I can use it on its own, or drop it into some thing else, the spice of life and all that. 🙂 I had a good swallow of the Everclear, and I have to say, it is fiery stuff, just like the poitin made in Ireland that we consumed as kids, which is a potato whisky, very different taste to the corn moonshine that everclear is, I can see why they use everclear to sterilise things in laboratories, because if you were a bug, you wouldn't stand a chance. 😁 I've started out with 9 grams of weed to 200ml of everclear, but this seems a lot of alcohol for that amount of weed, so I can see that being reduced in the future. The weed and alcohol are placed into a pound honey jar, this seems a good amount of space to shake the weed around in. (y) Been advised by my buddy and now mentor for this project, that the jars need a good shake twice a day for a week, no great hardship. 🙂 So the weed was scaled up to the required amount. 👍
View attachment 83229

Five jars were filled, four were marked up with week 1 to week 4, this is how long they will be left until they are tested. One jar, which is just a tester to see if there is any difference between them all, and whether a couple of days or weeks makes any difference at all, because everyone you speak to has a different idea, and the net is awash with info, some fairly conflicting. So we'll see what how it goes. 🙂

The weed that was used in this project was some good weed I grew a while ago called The Church. Nice weed, but made me cough, so it was kicked to the side for other strains that didn't.👍

I was going to skip the weed prep part, but maybe this topic might help anther member walking the same path, so here's what I did. First off you have to bake the weed in the oven, I'll skip the science as you can look it up if you feel the need. I have a gas oven, so I warmed it up to gas mark one and a half, this is 250f or 121c for other types of ovens. 👍 The baking times will vary depending on your weed, mine was good and dry already, so ten minutes sorted mine just fine. 👌

Before baking, you can see its green.
View attachment 83235

After baking, you can see its golden. 👌
View attachment 83236

Golden is the aim of the game, then I just jar it up, mark the lids with the date, and that's it, let it get on with it, giving the jars a shake a couple of times a day. 👍
View attachment 83237

I've made up four jars, which I aim to test one a week, then see which I think is the best for the length of time its in the jar. And that is where I am at the minute, later on today I'll be sticking my finger in the tester jar, purely for scientific reasons. 😁 I'll update you as the other four jars mature, and hopefully I'll have a propper result. So there you are, now you know what I'm up to. There was some other boring stuff I could have added, like washing the jars, but I've spared you that. 😁 So all that's left is to wish you all well for the coming week, until the next update, just keep toking folks. 👍
U had me at everclear! First time I got sick off drinking was w 190 proof and mountain dew, I wouldn't advise doing such lol
They can b expensive, but u can buy devices where u can just push a button to decarbonize herb. U probably know this already. I paid like 280 for mine if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the link, I'll check her out. (y)

I've looked at a good few weird and wonderful machines when I set off on this quest, but I'm old school, so I'm told by younger generations, so I just whack everything in the oven. Pure alcohol is a thing and a half, no wonder I can't understand a lot of what popcorn says. 😁 Do you have any pix of your decarb machine.

I forgot to mention it also infuses the decarb flower w the medium of ur choice of oil or butter. It's not really that big so u can do like 7-14 grams at a time? It's been a few yrs since I've used it so am unsure of quantities, just know u plug it in, push a button for either process, and wait

This size would suit most people as it does up to half an ounce, currently I'm only dealing in quarter ounces to suit my self, so plenty big enough. (y) I've eaten tonnes of the breakfast serial in the top left corner, good munchie food. 😁

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this dull damp February morning, hope your all well. :) My apologies for my absence, but I picked up the cough that seems to be conquering the world at the minute, and on top of the lung problems I've been experiencing this last year, it put me on my butt, antibiotics seem to just bounce off this bug, and this is the first time I've felt like doing any thing for the last couple of weeks, hopefully I'm regaining some sort of form. :) Onwards and upwards. I did, if not in a slow fashion get some canna coconut made. (y)

Recipe.
250g coconut oil, virgin.
1 quarter of good bud.
5ml of Lecithin.

I used the same method as for the canna butter, the same measurements, and as the three jar method worked for me last run with the butter, the same method was adopted for this run. 👍 The jars are pound honey jars as far as I know, they've been knocking about in the shed for years, can't remember where they came from, but I just knew way back then that the would come in handy, and I'd use them for some thing, some time. 😁

20250111_152306.jpg

I split the mixture just as I did with the butter, half in each jar, the third being a counter balance to stop the two jars with the oil falling over due to oil floats, and I didn't want the oil jars to fall over. this time I put the Lecithin on to melt with the oil, easier to mix, maybe. 😁

20250201_144146.jpg

20250201_144250.jpg

The jars were put into the slow cooker, on low to melt the oil. 👍

20250201_144850.jpg

20250201_144930.jpg

Next job was to roughly grind the quarter ounce of bud, and split it between the two jars. 👍

20250201_145044.jpg

20250201_150336.jpg

Once the oil had melted, the bud was placed into the jars, half in each, the whole mixture was placed back into the slow cooker for four hours, and given a quick stir every hour. 👍

20250201_150618.jpg

After four hours, the mixture was strained, through muslin.

20250201_193632.jpg
20250201_194129.jpg

With the oil, I didn't squeeze the bag at the end, this is to avoid the finings getting through. the mixture was then left to cool, because unless you've picked up one of these jars, you wouldn't believe how hot these are, and yes, I forgot again, much to the amusement of the mrs .🤣

And that is as far as I've got, not tested as yet, but I will get round to it and give you the low down. Got people coming to visit, so got things to do, so until next time, just keep tokin folks. 👍

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this damp but gloriously sunny day, hope your all well. 😎 This week I spent a bit of time messing with food flavourings and colourings, on a mini scale. 😊 I decided that I like the taste of the canna coconut, and wondered if it would accept some flavouring and colour, so this is what happened. I dug out some food colours, green, amber, red, with the idea of making green a slight hit, the amber a step up from that, and red whoop ass. 😁 The green was just the basic coconut base mix, as 5ml to 10ml is a nice hit. 👍 First off I melted some of the oil with the idea of splitting it into three lots.
20250220_131119.jpg

The green.
20250220_131511.jpg

Then put into the doughnut mould, this was then placed in the fridge to set while I made the amber. 👍
20250220_132124.jpg

The amber, this has orange colour with Valencian Orange Flavour, with two squirts of green dragon, coconut and orange, nice. 😊
20250220_132810.jpg

Then into the mould, and fridge to set. 👍
20250220_133658.jpg

On to the red, this had six squirts of green dragon added, red colouring and vanilla flavour, coconut and vanilla, extra nice. 😊
20250220_134531.jpg

In to the mould, and left to cool and set in the fridge. 👍
20250220_135250.jpg

Once the doughnuts were set, they were popped out onto a chilled plate to be packaged. 😊
20250222_093030.jpg

I now needed an easy way to bag these up so I could just grab a couple at will, with out them all sticking together, so a reel of cling film was deployed, each colour with its own strip.
20250222_101552.jpg

Then all was placed into the one bag to make them easier to find, the whole lot was then placed in the freezer.
20250222_102615.jpg

I've tested all three colours, and all three are at different potencies, two greens equal an amber, two ambers seem to equal a red, but two reds equal an afternoon on the sofa. 🤣 I have to say that out of the two (canna butter), the coconut you can just gobble up as it is as it has a nice coconut taste, but compared to the canna butter, which is ok on its own, but it is better on a nice cracker buttered with the canna butter, and then add your favourite cheese on top, this is my chosen way to eat the canna butter, and a good way to eat an array of the worlds finest cheeses, so if you've a stash of gear your struggling to smoke, then make your self some butter and whack it on some nice crackers. 👍 And there ends another mini experiment, next week, how to lose weight after eating to many cheese n crackers, until then, just keep tokin folks. Good morining tokers and growers, how are you all on this slightly frosty, but very sunny March Spring morning, hope your all well. 🙂 While I was a shade off colour, a buddy fetched me six cuttings, three Pineapple and three Do Si Do, all in pristine condition, but not now, I have to admit to letting them shoot past their best, and just fed them water, I realise this is a sin, but I have a good excuse. 🤮 So it was time to make good my good buddies generosity, and sort these cuttings out. I decided to just trough them for an easy life, this is just a basic run to waste system. (y) I plan to let the cuttings green up and get going, then in three to four weeks, flip them into flower and see what happens. 🙂
These are the six cuttings, they were greener than Shrek with a tan when they arrived, but they will bounce back. (y) Pineapple at the back and Do Si Do at the front. 🙂

Give it a couple of weeks and they should all take off with out any casualties, I'll bet they look better by next week, we'll see. So now you know what I'm up to this week, cutting pampering, feeding the usual Canna nuits, I like the measuring bottles. 😁 And that's where we are on the grow front, will they pick up, find out in a weeks time, until then, just keep tokin folks. 👍

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this warm sunny Saturday morning, hope your all well. 😎 This week sees us finish week one of veg, and I have to say that the plants are doing their best to undo the neglect that befell them when they were kindly given to me. 😁 They have now taken on some nice greenness, and in only a week they look like they have what it takes to become future light ticklers. 🙂 It looks to me like the Pineapple will become quite tall compared to the Do Si Do, this will show itself when the plants go into flower, I expect the stretch to show itself. 👍 Lets look at the mug shots and see what's changed since last week.

In the first pic you can see they cuttings have doubled in height, still look a bit rough from the side.
20250220_082038.jpg

But from the top view the cuttings look fine, so maybe all future pics will be from an aerial view. 🙂
20250220_082114.jpg

The Do Si Do, some nice new green foliage pushing out. 👍
20250220_082055.jpg

The Pineapple, also pushing out the green, you can see a bit of something on the leaf tips, but this is probably down to past neglect. 😇
20250220_082104.jpg

Meant to post this, but it didn't get put up, don't know why its the jars of Canna Butter and Canna Coconut Oil, just showing the difference between them in colour.
20250202_091209.jpg
I know they should be different, but I was surprised at how well the butter kept its colour and taste, it still tastes of butter despite the stronger taste and colour of the bud (The Church), likewise the coconut still tastes strongly of coconut. This makes it easy to spread the butter on a cracker with a bit of nice cheese on top, with no bad tastes. The flavoured/coloured coconut donuts (Fruit Loops) I've just been eating in their raw state, washed down with a glass of chilled virgin fruit juice, such a lazy way to go about it, but its just so easy. 🙂 And another update passes into the history of cannabis culture, will these little green babes push out more lush green leaves this week, find out next week, until then, just keep tokin folks. 👍

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this sunny but damp morning, hope you're all well. :) This week sees us put week three of veg behind us, so I think that its time to think about put these babies into flower, been told that the Pineapple likes a bit of a stretch, here we go again, but the Do Si Do is quite short. 😁 So I think tonight after lights out I'm going to flip to flower. Don't know if the Pineapple is a bushy strain or whether it will grow straight up, not grown either of these before, guess we'll find out over the next two weeks.👍 Later on today I'll give the HPS bulb a clean and polish, get all the finger prints and sap from the light huggers on the last flower run. 😁 I looking forward to seeing these plants flower, as I've not grown anything for a year at least. Got some seeds given to me by a buddy, don't know if they will produce any thing, but we may well find out after these current plants are finished. 👍

It just goes to show how resilient cannabis is for these plants to make such a good come back with only three weeks in veg, and minimal pampering with the right nuits. I only wish I was just as resilient. 🤣 On the edible front, I've been told that its better to leave your Green Dragon in the fridge while you soak the bud in alcohol, said it knocks off more trykes? When I did mine, I left it at room temp, due to the oil in the bud being more fluent warm, than it would be if it was chilled? So it looks like we'll have to test this theory at some point, especially if it knocks off more trykes. 👍 If I get a minute today, then I'll set up a jar, and we'll see how it turns out. And that's it for now, I'm off to clean my self a HPS bulb and a jam jar, so until next week, just keep tokin folks. 👍

Good morning tokers and growers, how are you all on this sunny but cloudy morning, hope your all well. :) This week sees us finish week one of flower, the HPS has been beaming down on the plants all week, and what a difference its made, I thought they would get off to a slow start due to their bad handling by the grower, but not a bit of it, they have gone for it, looks like the Pineapple's are going to be long legged. The Do Si Do is a fatter plant in stature, but the Pineapple is a more straight up plant rather than a spreader, I like a spreader as they don't grow into my lights. 😁

The Do Si Do. A bushy type plant.
F1 (9).jpg

The Pineapple is a more straight stemmed plant with less branching.
F1 (2).jpg

View from above, you can see the bushiness of the Do Si Do compared to the Pineapple. 👍
F1 (8).jpg

Side view shows the difference in height, the Pineapple is going to be a tall specimen, if I didn't know better I would say the Pineapples were male, but they look like females over all, should know for definite by the end of week two of flower. 👍

F1(7).jpg

The cold Green Dragon. Got the jar made up, gave it a spin with the coffee frother to break off the trykes, it was then deposited in to the fridge. I decided to place it next to the milk in the door compartment, that way every time we open the door to get some thing from the fridge it will shake up the jar. 🤣

Sorted out a nice quarter of bud. 👍
Cold made Green Dragon 1 (1).jpg

Chucked the chopped bud into the chosen jar (same ones I always use). 🙂
Cold made Green Dragon 1 (2).jpg

Chuck on some Everclear. 👍Cold made Green Dragon 1 (3).jpg

A quick thrash with the coffee frother, and pop the jar in the fridge. 🙂
Cold made Green Dragon 1 (4).jpg

So that's the cold jar made up, it will be left in the fridge for a week stirring once a day, we'll see what happens in a weeks time. 🙂 I'm keen to see how the second week of stretch goes, the Pineapple's are going for it. So will the cold jar work better, only one way to find out. Until then, just keep tokin folks. 👍
