Grove Bags ??

I use 1 lb. mostly, some 1/2 lb. for special or new clients, If you get them dry they will hold the Rh to the prefered level as I have used "mini" hygrometers to check the Rh, Cheers,SS P.S. You must hold the temp to 75 degrees or lower, or I do it in the dark also.

Thanks both, gonna give 'em a try, is there any particular brand and size anyone could recommend?
I use the ounce bags just because i'm too paranoid to put it all in one bag.

So far so good. I've used them for 3 harvests and they really do work. Just gotta make sure you get a good dry on 'em. I pulled some out of the bags after 3 months and they were still sticky and delicious.

When I quit growing four years ago these weren't around yet, but I'd sure like to give them a try

Could someone who's used these give me an opinion please?
I use the 1/4lb bags with 62% humidity packs in them. The more the better. 1 size # 67 is supposed to be good for the 1/4lb bags but I'll add 2-3 of them. I find they help rehydrate my over dried buds. I can never get 62% at 62f, family & pets don't like the cold. So I over dry then seal in the bags for 2+ weeks. I've used them without the packs and stored in my garage but my bud dried out so I use the RH packs. Boveda or Boost Integra both work well

I use either the 2oz or 1/4lb Velvet Touch bags. They're thicker and last longer than the regular groves.
The weights are more suggestion than anything but ez to figure out what works best for you.
They're a ton more space saving than jars or C-vaults. I use an electric cooler set to 50 for my stash

I'm looking at the 2 ounce right now I think that might be the best size for me, I'll look up that brand thanks!

Good to know thanks, I have the 62% packs already, I'm thinking of getting the two ounce size cuz I've got a smaller grow than before

The brand is Grove, they just make a few different types of bags.
The opaque and window pouches are the base models with ziplock style zippers then there's the Velvet Touch with child proof zippers and then the 5 track zippers.
Basically any bag with a graphic is gonna be the thicker type with a better zipper than the black base models.

The terpy bags are pretty much turkey bags and the fresh frozen are the same with UV block

So since this is the most recent grove bag thread, I will add my limited findings here.
I stored some extra Boveeda 62% humidity packs in a grove bag for about 3-4 months. Nothing else in the bag and they were never opened.
Kept in a dark temp controlled drawer.
The packs completely dried out~! The bag was zip lock type and not heat sealed but I have no use for this type of product with performance like this.
Glad I use jars with rubber gaskets.

I think there great for curing, but for storing bud over a few months mason jars with the rubber is the only way to go.
;roll ;pass

My purely anecdotal opinion.
When I harvested the big Super Blue Dream last year, I filled 2 - 1 lb Grove bags, 1 - 1gal jar, and 1 2 quart jar.
After cure, the buds really compacted well, still big bud nice and solid. The best tactile feel of the bid, I got from the 1 gal jar. The best taste and aroma comes from the Grove bags.

I’d go with the Grove bags if I were to do it now with the same knowledge.

Is it the Boveda pack or the grove bags that’s the issue. You seem confident it’s the grove bag but are you sure?

I don't use boveda packs in mine. I have, but for me, those boveda packs seem to change the taste. (although who knows, that could be my thc soaked brain imagining things)
I use boveda or boost integra, for me boost are a bit cheaper, size # 67 = $4.50 Boveda same size $7.50. I can't say 1 is better than the other I use multiples per bag. It keeps my buds, fresh and they smoke well. ( most important part ). I used Grove bags without humidity packs and my bud dried up, stored in my garage with fluctuating rh. I now store inside with humidity packs. Its the best way I've found to have a consistent nice smoke.

I think the packs rob terps too,if you put them in the bags with the weed.i just jar all mine and keep it in a cooler with the large boveda in the cooler too not in the jar with the weed.

Boveeda packs are not meant to stay moist if the container does not allow.
Maybe the packs have a defect but they all recharged and work seemingly correct.
Not sure I would recognize if the pack was at fault?

I have a few Boveda packs 2-3 years old, I can feel crystals in them so they are drying up. If they are hard they need recharging but until then I keep using them

It took me forever to accumulate a gallon jar collection for storing weed. They are all sitting empty now, switched to grove bags. I like 1/4 lb and 1 zip bags myself and I keep them all in an 18 gallon tote with a lid. I don't use my Bovedas anymore. If I feel the herb is getting too dry I'll just add a bowl of orange rinds to the tote.......close the lid........and in a day or two, everything has freshened right up.
I am a fan with my only complaint being the damn ziploc portion failing on at least 3 bags.
The jars took up the top half of a closet and breaking a jar is always possible. So I reclaimed the closet with the tote and it's pretty easy to deal with. ymmv
