Hey, I'm not into politics at all, no party affiliations. This Usa tariff sht even hits me at the gym. talking to a guy today I talked about my favorite local store and getting strawberries for $2.99 and he said where did they come from Usa? ah I don't know I don't care, I'm not letting media hype and bullshit dictate what I buy and from where it came from.

Went to the same store after gym and they had the same strawberries and they are from California. I bought 2 packs but for the first time I looked at the location they came from and I had to think....Buy Canadian they say up here now??? Strawberries in Canada in April??? lol does that make me a bad canuck??? lol...probably...do I care???? ....lol...not fkin likely. There ain't no strawberries grown up here in April whats a guy that likes strawberries supposed to do?

Ya, If there was a pack of Canadian berries at $2.99 and a pack of Usa berries along side at $2.99 I'd buy Canadian if the berries were comparable if not I'm getting the best berries. Its all a ...(edit media driven ) manipulative game I don't want to play.
 
19.6” of rain here in the past three days. Catastrophic flooding. Still holding my hill down on gen power. Saying it will be a few days until we get power back.
Up all night just sick with worry over a missing friend. I called the hwy patrol rescue number, they can’t get close enough to tell her car is gone. This was even more worrisome knowing she was blocked in every direction, no one had heard from her. This morning the patrol was calling wanting info that tied my guts in a knot. Her description, if she had any marks or tattoos that would identify her. At this point I am tore to the ground. She has been my best friend for over 35 years. I know they are suggesting that she has been washed away, car and all.
My heart is broken and my guts are in knots. Finally round noon, they called and had made contact. She had took her car to a higher spot and walked back to the house, and was at her house. Thank you Jesus! Right?
What a hell of a day. I’m ready for a joint as long as my legs! Maybe even a sip of that Canadian Whiskey 🥃 tarrifs and all!
I went along with the blues way of doing things for four years. I still supported my country and I will for the next four. I am first an American. 🇺🇸 I’d buy strawberries from Canada in a damn heart beat.

They have all had more than enough chances.
All they end up giving us is excuses.

The US imported about 2 million tonnes of Canadian NBSK last year, highlighting the how much American paper-goods producers rely on pulp from their northern neighbour.

“Some of these mills in the United States, some of the big branded products, not only want softwood pulp from Canada, they want softwood pulp from this particular mill — they’ve been using it for 30 years and they will not change," McClay told The Financial Post. “If Canadian pulp mills close because they don’t have the fibre supply, I can’t think of any other option for them — they just can’t switch the recipe around," he said.

Not what’s being told here. It’s to the point you don’t know who to believe. Really don’t care. If it’s Canadian or Mexican whatever if I need it, I’m buying it. After what we have paid for goods here for the last four years, it’s no shock.

Man thank God she is good.we are flooded out too.im kinda of a back woods hillbilly so I will try not pretend I know what's going on with all the tariffs and Canada vs us news,but it sounds like just another reason to keep 8 billion of us at each other's throats and fighting among ourselves instead of uniting and realizing it's about 2 million mabey less filthy rich sour hearted people causing all the problems.

Enjoy those Strawberries. I love em too. My friends and I would sit in a Strawberry field at night and gorge ourselves while getting stoned. That was in California in the early 70’s.

The ones we ate had pesticides sprayed all over them. They were always flying helo’s over those fields spraying. We didn’t give a fuck back then, lol. Had the munchies.

The husband of my co-worker raises bees in WV. I'm partial to their honey, too. I use it every day to sweeten my coffee and my wife uses it to make granola. It's good stuff, for sure.

Those cliff guys are nuts. I'd like to try some of the honey they collect. Probably $250/oz. by the time it got here, lol. Maybe more. I've seen some high dollar honey out there. I can't remember where it came from, offhand.

My city just had a successful "Hands Off" peaceful protest. It was sponsored by our local Civil Liberties Union. We are not a big city by any measure, but we were over 4000 strong.

Just to be in that crowd with that amount of positive energy was amazing. It erased the last few days of anger and despair and replaced it with hope.

This type of thing usually doesn't happen anywhere near me. I was surprised to learn they had a solid turn out in a small town about a 50 minute drive from me. The smiling faces in a couple of videos I watched seemed to indicate the same positive vibes you described. I get a kick out of the clever signs people come up with (even for sports stuff, like college game day). A lady I know posted a photo of her holding a sign at the rally that cracked me up. It just had a big red arrow pointed at her with the text "Resisting Bitch Face". Might be funnier to me, because I know she has this huge, bubbly personality and is always smiling.

Hey off topic but has anyone heard of anyone getting busted for small homegrown operations lately.......Anywhere??? I can't remember hearing or reading about them. Even in places where they've legalized a specific number of plants has anyone read about a guy getting busted for a few plants over the limit. Or anyone getting busted any longer? Home raids to bust folks growing 10 in a 5 limit state?

Where is, any, legislation on how much fucking beer or wine someone can make on their own property.

Fucking alcohol has killed more people in 1 year than the entire history of cannibas. So, suck on that one lawmakers.

Politics suck no matter which wing of the bird you follow!
The only protest I have ever attended had to do with keeping the government from killing all the wild horses in my area. I should be in Jeff City this morning with the other half of my county, protesting the mass slaughter of our deer here. But, I can’t get out yet. My private drive a mile long has been repaired but the county road is still in shambles.
My friend got communications back yesterday and lord did I ever chew her ass out. She told me how foolish her decision was. I told her in no uncertain circumstances how it felt to get that call from the highway patrol asking about descriptive body marks, realizing they believed she had been swept away. I shook like a dog crapping peach seeds for hours, I’m still pissed, but I love her anyway.
I’m shutting out the world today, cranking up the music and am sitting down to load 200 rounds of ammo. That should set me right.

Nothing here. All of a sudden since recreational you hear nothing about any busts. I know our government is being pushed to reclassify cannabis.

Water has gone. One thing about how it floods here is it happens quick, and it goes down quick, it’s all the damage to the roads that are slow to be fixed. We literally have several thousand miles of gravel roads here.
My drive had ruts, some three feet deep.
Sun is shining today and 70* expected..
