Pretty sure it’s a monarch butterfly about to come out. You can sort of see the wing pattern at the bottom right.

oh. i get those every few years, i only see the caterpillars though. never looked for or saw a cocoon, pretty cool!!! they normally always eat the milkweed, thats where i see them.

When I was a boy I used wasp grubs for bait, trout love them, in more recent times when the water is colored I fish them with my fly rod it's some of the best sport going after a good downpour.

I don't have methanol or ethanol they're quicker than isopropyl but isopropyl is like the gentle approach, I'm working with small volumes they're easy saturated I need to change now it's emerald green!

I've got some funky stains and dyes to play around with oops!,I meant work with 😄

Have a great weekend everyone 🍻

I'm going 🤪 here I've ordered a couple of bits for my microscope camera twice only to find it's not right or it's not ideal... yeh I'm scunnered 😁

On a more positive note I'm happy with the outcome of the counter staining + dark field for added contrast.

This only loosely resembles what I'm seeing, you should also see absolute clarity, contrast and without haze.
Fwiw it's our favorite fragrant herb but mum's the word on that, it's unofficial 😜
