Hey folks 🤙

I've had enough grows go haywire in terms of seed inconsistencies, so I'm gonna give cloning a whirl. Wish me luck.

I just dropped one seed. Cannarado's Kitchen Sink. It's GMO x Sundae Driver. One of my favorite strains of all time. Smells like a dish rag that's ready for the wash.

It took a lot of work to track it down. @GoodShit97 pulled through and found me a 6-pack for $150.

To my surprise, the vile contained 9 seeds. SCORE. I dropped one seed into a GH GroPlug.

I'll top the little guy early so that I can get my 4 clones as soon as possible. Gotta buy some rooting gel or some Clone-X or something. I assume this little dude will be ready to clone in 2-3 weeks.

Thats a feminized strain right?
Just make sure you give them clones plenty of light unlike what I've been doing for 2 years 🤦🏻🤦🏻
I finally figured it out tho and am back on track with 95-100% roots

Yessir. Feminized 6-pack that came with 9 beans. I got plenty left over to do a phenohunt with them eventually. Right now I just want 4 plants that grow the same.

I'll keep 'em in the germ dome til they're ready. It's got some decent lighting atop. If anything, my spiderfarmer is collecting dust....

I figure... so far, this run and the last two have had either some freaks in there or some super sativa leaning phenos

But... who cares if they're crazy stretchers or some kind of freak as long as there's four of them that are the same.

What's funny is I didn't intend to share it, lol. I didn't have time to mess with it and decided the pic wasn't funny, anyway. I'm just now seeing that I forgot to cut that when I deleted the image 🤦‍♂️
 
It fell over the other day. I was only giving it 12 hours of light because it's in my lung room. Said fuck it, gave her 18 for the last couple days and she's looking better. Halfway to getting topped.

In the past I’ve grown one and as soon as I know it’s female I take three more clones.

Once the clones are topped and a good size I flip. The mother is usually bigger but I try to trim it to the same size as the clones before flipping.

I prefer cloning over starting new seeds unless tired of a strain.

I don’t expect you’ll have any issues, grows are always good. 👍

I think that's all I'm lacking for my clone project so now we wait. The seedling has it's first set of true leaves coming in nicely. I'll top it at the 4th node and go from there. Give it a couple weeks.

its like 6 bucks at home depot and works just as well if not better imo.
Clonex works great, but if ya wanna save some money, Garden Safe Take Root powder works great.

I may have to grab a clone off ya later on.
You've got me interested, I keep looking for another pack anytime I see Cannarado up for trade/sale on discord.

Good to know it's working for you. I recently picked up some TakeRoot at Tractor Supply on a whim, but haven't tried it, yet.

Hell yeah man. I'll get my clones going and then I'll clone each of them for ya. Not sure if I'll end up with the pheno I'm after since I only planted one seed, but it's bound to be some good smoke.

I highly recommend running your Guzzlerz beans. I'm PUMPED about the terps i'm catching a wiff of. Very very similar to some Island Sweet Skunk, if you've ever had that. It's funny too cuz we were just talking about finding some ISS beans like 2-3 weeks ago. I had no idea the Guzzlerz would be similar so I'm stoked. Like a fruity haze kind of smell. I'm excited.

I might have some of that TakeRoot in my garage somewhere. I bought it a couple years back when I tried to clone some crabapple cuttings. They didn't take though.

Used that for years, had the best luck with powder over gels
 
Strong genetics are usually always winners. I've heard good things about Canarado so this will be fun! I think you'll need a bit more time than you originally thought but you will get your clones soon enough. Funny thing is I did this not long ago, worked out great and the clones grew symmetrical branching until flower and you would never guess they didn't come from seed.

I'm gonna assume the tent will be tied up for another 3 to 4 weeks. 1-2 til harvest and another 1-2 for drying. This will be a good harvest though so I'll be in no hurry.

How long you think until this gal let's me take 4 clones. I figured I'll take the first nodes on the new tops. Quickest 4 to show up, eh?

Haha lame. So different growth and stretch rates? Different terps or yield?

I'm aiming for similar stretch rates and flower timing. Should I forget about it? 🤣

We’ve been getting a lot of green algae blooms in our water barrels this year. I just add a bit of bleach when it’s bad/thick. I’ve never known it to be a problem for the plants but I keep an eye on it.

“Green algae in a water barrel is generally not harmful to plants and can even provide some nutrients. However, if the algae growth becomes excessive, it may deplete oxygen in the water, which could be problematic for plant health.”
